Vicky, renowned for her memorable portrayal of Janice Battersby in Coronation Street, has expressed how "enriching the job" is and declared that "if it's the last thing she does", she'll be content.
Born in Lancashire, she portrayed Janice for 15 years before deciding to leave and concentrate on her theatre career.
I'm not a billionaire or a trillionaire, I'm just comfy. That said when my pensions kick in I'm out of here! Anyone with half a brain would do the same. This country is drowning in its own friendliness!
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, Vicky shared an image of the theatrical production's poster alongside a screenshot showing performance dates.
She penned: "Often you take a job that hurts, for the money... Rarely do you find a job that enriches you. This piece is so beautiful. If it's the last thing I do I'll be happy."
The production also features Leah Bell, Paul Dunn, and Alison Stanley in the cast.
The theatrical piece garnered five-star reviews during its run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and is currently touring the UK.
In a separate post, Vicky candidly discussed her financial circumstances, writing: "I'm not a billionaire or a trillionaire, I'm just comfy. That said, when my pensions kick in I'm out of here! Anyone with half a brain would do the same. This country is drowning in its own friendliness!"

EastEnders Avani in heartbreaking baby twist

Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) EASTENDERS Avani's baby storyline takes a heartbreaking twist, leaving Sukii devastated. Over the last few weeks, viewers have watched Suki (Balvinder Sopal) try to manipulate teenage Avani (Aaliyah James) into having her baby – just so she can raise it herself. Furious, she lashed out, accusing her of manipulating the teen and calling her some pretty harsh words. But in a bizarre U-turn later that same night, after Avani had a heart-to-heart with Eve, she somehow managed to talk her round. However, things have no come to a head in the latest episode of EastEnders, which has already dropped on the iPlayer. Those tuning in tonight will see Suki became suspicious of Avani and Eve when they make an excuse to go off together, unaware they are going to an abortion clinic. Worried about lying to her wife, Eve says: "I think we should tell Suki, I don't think I can keep something this big from her because we've promised to be honest with each other." After terminating her pregnancy the tearful teen tells Eve she wants to find her mum Priya and tell her the truth. "I just really want my mum. I want to tell her everything," she cries. The pair head home and Suki soon arrives back to, and she receives the news that Avani has had a termination. Confirming the news, she says: "There is no baby." EastEnders fans SWITCH OFF slamming 'worst episode' as backlash grows to controversial pregnancy storyline Suki then turns to Eve who says she is "sorry". Meanwhile, the controversial storyline has received a huge public backlash. Last week fans were left fuming, with many slamming the plot as "abysmal" and asking, "What the hell did I just watch?" Viewers have slammed the storyline as 'unrealistic' and 'garbage', with some even vowing to ditch the soap for good. Most complained about soap storylines Over the years, all three of the main soaps have featured plots that have had even die-hard fans reaching for their phones and laptops so they can get in touch with Ofcom and complain. Here are just some of the most scandalous... EastEnders baby theft: 13,400 Ofcom complaints - Back in 2011, EastEnders was flooded with complaints when Ronnie Branning (RIP) swapped her baby for the dead son of Kat Moon. The storyline drew the most number of objections in the soap's long history and saw it roundly criticised by campaigners - with 13,400 flying in over the course of the storyline. Some viewers called it 'distressing' and 'horrific' but Ofcom ruled the scenes were not "unduly disturbing'. Emmerdale dog-napping: 550 Ofcom complaints - Back in 2016, Ross Barton and Charity Dingle came up with a plan to steal a dog and hold it ransom - but viewers didn't like it one bit. The nation's pet owners rose up, insisting the storyline would encourage copycats (not to mention copydogs). Complaints over two episodes totalled a staggering 550 and soap writers quickly learnt you don't mess with animal-lovers. Coronation Street double murder: 546 Ofcom complaints - Marginally less people complained about a gruesome double murder than objected to a dog-napping plot when Pat Phelan was at the centre of a spate of killings. First he forced Andy Carver to shoot dead Vinny Ashford - and then Pat killed Andy. All the bloodshed back in 2017 proved to be too much for some viewers, who lodged complaints in vast numbers about the 'violent scenes'. Taking to an online forum, one fan wrote: "Avani seems to have had a personality transplant. Does she not remember her step-grandmother has already raised 4 children? This is not her chance." Another said: "The Suki storyline being positioned as some sort of heart-warming tale of motherhood and not the coercion and abuse story that it actually is so inappropriate." To make matters worse, the same episode saw Patrick (Rudolph Walker) suddenly spiral into a gambling problem, despite two decades of betting without a hitch. Viewers were left scratching their heads and branding the writing "tedious" and "a challenge to watch." One said: "I hate how Patrick has gambled for 20+ years and now all of a sudden it's a problem." Another added: "Patrick has gambled since the first day Yolande met him. Now it is a contrived part of the plot for her to call off the wedding. "None of the stories make sense and it is a challenge to watch." EastEnders is available to watch on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

Jeremy Clarkson slammed by fans for controversial pub change

In the latest season of Clarkson's Farm on Amazon Prime Video, the main focus for Mr Clarkson and co was getting his pub - The Farmer's Dog - up and running. Clarkson announced last August that his pub would be all British, but admitted he was struggling to find certain ingredients. Despite the initial quick turnaround of getting his pub up and running, his attempts to go "all British" hit a wall. It looks like this year's harvest will be catastrophic. That should be a worry for anyone who eats food. If a disaster on this scale had befallen any other industry, there would be a lot of wailing and gnashing of teeth. He posted on X, formerly known as Twitter: "We are attempting to go all British for the food at my pub. But we are struggling to find black pepper grown here. Can anyone help?" Following this, the latest series depicts signs up in the pub declaring that the pub is 100% British, which means there is no ketchup served there. However, Condimaniac took up the challenge to create a 100% British ketchup and then aimed to get it stocked at the Farmer's Dog. The condiment company behind the creation of a 100% British-sourced ketchup has declared victory in its bid to provide a ketchup for Jeremy Clarkson's pub. On Instagram, co-founder Kier Kemp said he was really impressed by the pub. "It is not just a gimmick for them they do really live and breathe this 100% British thing," he said. Mr Kemp also added it was one of the 'best wholesale clients I have ever dealt with'. "The team there, the Diddly Squat farm shop that's on site and the pub, everyone I have met is super lovely," he said. "I am glad that I can report they are actually nice people. It is not always like that." However, fans took issue with the fact that the Diddly Squat seemingly made them relabel their product to include their own brand. Recommended reading: On a recent TikTok showing the creation of the sauce and bottle, fans blasted the decision. One said: "Hate that they made you get a new label for it". Another commented: "As if they made you relabel it" Whilst someone else replied: "I don't think it's right to make the label change, it's YOUR sauce promoting HIS business, he doesn't need to be on the label that big anyway. Newsquest has approached Diddly Squat Farm for comment.

YouTube star and EastEnders actress among first batch of Strictly contestants

The popular BBC dancing show, hosted by Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly, will return to TV screens in September with a new host of famous faces competing each week to win the glitterball trophy. Podcast host and YouTube star George Clarke was announced as the sixth celebrity contestant on Tuesday during BBC Radio 1's Going Home drivetime show. Clarke, also known as George Clarkey, said: 'Never thought I'd say this … but I'm doing Strictly! Honestly, I've got no idea what I'm doing but I'm excited to get stuck in … and potentially fall over a fair bit.' It comes after EastEnders actress Balvinder Sopal was revealed as a contestant during a segment filmed live from Albert Square on ITV's Good Morning Britain (GMB). She said that 'being on Strictly is a dream that I held on to, with no proof that it would ever happen'. The other stars confirmed to be competing are Love Island winner Dani Dyer, Gladiators star Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, Doctor Who actress Alex Kingston and former footballer Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink. Speaking on The One Show after her reveal, Dyer, who is the daughter of actor Danny Dyer, said: 'It's such a fun magical show – to be asked to do it is such an honour. 'I just can't wait to be able to wear (the costumes) – it's going to be so much fun.' A post shared by BBC Strictly (@bbcstrictly) Former Chelsea footballer Hasselbaink said: 'I'm a father of only girls and Strictly is a part of our home life – I like the show. Let's have a go.' Actress Kingston, who interrupted her holiday in Italy to speak to hosts Alex Scott and Roman Kemp, joked: 'I was super excited but now I'm terrified.' Aikines-Aryeetey, known as Nitro on the rebooted Gladiators, previously competed in last year's Strictly Christmas Special and described his decision to return on Monday as 'so nice I just had to do it twice'. In July, the BBC announced that two 'incredible' new professional dancers, US-born Alexis Warr and Australian dancer Julian Caillon, would be joining the show. Daly and Winkleman will return as presenters with Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and Shirley Ballas on the judges' table. Strictly will return to BBC One and BBC iPlayer this September.
