Today marks the highly anticipated drop of the last remaining episodes of The Sandman season 2.
Fans were devastated to discover that this will be the last ever instalment of the hit show.
Netflix has already announced that this will be the last we see of Dream (Tom Sturridge).
The announcement came in the wake of serious sexual assault allegations made against the show's co-developer and writer, Neil Gaiman.
Often referred to as Stranger Things' long-lost brother, the Netflix series has received great reviews – and has a score of 88% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Well, if that information didn't solidify the answer for you… No, there won't be a Sandman season three.
Dream's adventures come to an end today, as the streaming service releases the final five episodes.
The Sandman's showrunner, Allan Heinberg, did not mention Gaiman nor the allegations when he shared a statement on behalf of the show's conclusion.
'The Sandman series has always been focused exclusively on Dream's story, and back in 2022, when we looked at the remaining Dream material from the comics, we knew we only had enough story for one more season,' he told Netflix's Tudum.
Many fans were left confused after Heinberg's statement, as The Sandman comic has 75 issues – which seems a lot to squeeze into two seasons.
Still, it's not all bad news.
On July 31, Netflix will release a special episode focused on Dream's sister Death, which will serve as an epilogue of sorts to the show.

There are 22 episodes across two seasons of The Sandman (that's eleven in each season).
Netflix dropped the series in two halves, keeping viewers hanging on that cliff.
The first six episodes of the new season dropped on July 3, with the following five landing on Netflix today.
Comic fans will be gutted to learn that this is the last they will see of the Mortals, Dreams, Endless and Other beings.
Who is in the cast of The Sandman?
There has been lots of controversy surrounding the series due to serious allegations against the co-developer and writer, Neil Gaiman (Picture:)
Tom Sturridge leads the cast as Dream, AKA The Sandman, who is responsible for watching over all of humanity as they sleep.
In these tumultuous episodes, Dream attempts to rebuild his kingdom as he embarks on his epic final journey.
The cast all work tightly together to ensure dreams run smoothly, with many dark twists and turns.

Fans can't believe this is the last they will see of The Sandman cast as the streaming service has cancelled any possibility of a following season – despite its immense success.
Some Sandman fans were gutted to learn that this would be the last release of the much-loved comic book adaptation.
@waste-snow23 on Reddit said: 'I'm so so sad about this. I waited so many years for this adaptation. I understand why it was cancelled, but I loved the Sandman series dearly.'
Don't let the Gaiman allegations ruin the dream...
Our Deputy TV Editor, Tom Percival, shares his thoughts on The Sandman Season 2 Part 1…
'We do not choose to be created, nor do we choose how we are made.'
In the first season of The Sandman on Netflix, these words are uttered by Lord Morpheus (Tom Sturridge), otherwise known as Dream.
In the context of the show, Dream is referring to everyone's lack of agency in their inception. It's essentially a slightly pretentious way of saying 'you can't help where you come from'.
Going into season 2, Morpheus's words feel especially apt due to the large shadow cast over the show by its co-creator, Neil Gaiman.
While Gaiman denies the allegations, I understand why people may not want to watch the show. However, I believe so much more to the series than one man.
In my opinion, The Sandman season two is every bit as beguiling, bold and brilliant as the first, managing to somehow elevate the source material.
To take this back to the opening quote, Dream can't help who made him.
So maybe we shouldn't let the circumstances of his creation rob us of arguably the best fantasy series Netflix has ever made.

'A big step up from Season 1. Kind of makes me sad that this is the last one.' @certainalbatross added.
Other viewers were glad to see the demise of Gainman's emperor, @brat-sampsin98 said: 'He doesn't deserve to earn a penny. I'm glad he's seeing his legacy destroyed.'
Fans noted that the streaming service's decision to axe the show was the right move considering the severity of the allegations made, but others felt for the cast who may have wished to tell the full story and have had their characters' journeys cut short.
@ithinkther41am on Reddit said: 'It's really a shame Gaiman turned out to be a monster, because this was clearly a labour of love for everyone involved.'
The Sandman is available to watch now on Netflix.

Kate Moss, 51, puts on a leggy display in a skimpy green dress as she poses with actress Chloë Sevigny, 50, in very sultry swimming pool shoot for Yves Saint Laurent campaign

Kate Moss put on a very leggy display in a lime green dress in a shoot for Yves Saint Laurent's Fall 2025 campaign. The supermodel, 51, proved she's still got it as she flaunted her age-defying figure in the sexy shoot. Kate was joined by American actress and director Chloë Sevigny, 50, along with model Frankie Rayder. Mother-of-one Kate, whose daughter is model Lila Moss, 22, posed for very sultry swimming pool shots with Chloe. Chloe, who most recently starred in Netflix 's Monster, placed her hand beneath Kate's cleavage as they floated in the water. American model Frankie, 50, confidently stripped off for one shot while posing under a blanket. The sexy shoot saw Kate, Chloe and Frankie film in the heart of Los Angeles for the AW25 campaign. Kate was also seen reclining behind the wheel of a convertible in a faux fur coat and sunglasses. Being a renowned supermodel, she'd know a thing or two about fashion. So it's no surprise Kate has taken it upon herself to 'police' poorly dressed pedestrians. 'I like going, 'What are they thinking?'' she admits. 'I don't want to be judgy, but you know when you're like, 'Nee naw, nee naw, fashion police!'' According to Daily Mail's Richard Eden, Kate added: 'It was the weirdest look. She had a pork-pie hat, a yellow Chanel backpack, tights, leather shorts, a yellow Nike high top trainer. 'I pulled them over and said, 'Where are you from?' They said France. They're definitely not from Paris, that's for sure.' Kate recently sparked concern among her fanbase after being filmed looking 'fraught' and 'on edge' as she sat front row at Paris Fashion Week. Kate was thought to have given up alcohol back in 2017 in favour of juice fasts and reformer Pilates, even selling her own range of teas and skincare products through her beauty and wellness brand, Cosmoss. She also posed in sexy white lace lingerie in another frame American model Frankie Rayder (pictured), 50, confidently stripped off for one shot while posing under a blanket The sexy shoot saw Kate, Chloe and Frankie film in the heart of Los Angeles for the AW25 campaign And while she has long struggled to give up her nicotine habit, just two years ago Kate - once hailed the 'greatest smoker of all time' - was seen puffing away on a vape in an attempt to give up the cigarettes. Back in January, Kate was reportedly planning a huge boozy birthday bash to celebrate her 51st birthday following her split from boyfriend of nine years, Nikolai von Bismarck, 38. Kate, who lived in the Cotswolds with teetotal photographer Nikolai, apparently decided at the time that she 'wants to let her hair down' to mark her birthday with her famous pals. A source told The Sun: 'Last year, she celebrated her 50th at an intimate soiree in Paris, which was fairly pared down. 'But a lot has changed since then and Kate has said she wants this party to be like turning over a new leaf. 'Now that her daughter Lila is all grown up and she is single again, Kate feels like she wants to let her hair down and be carefree — which is not something she's been able to do for a long time. 'She is looking on the bright side of life. Although it's sad her relationship is over, she is throwing herself back into her social life and embracing the new year.' She went on to start her new chapter celebrating her 51st birthday at A-list restaurant China Tang at The Dorchester before continuing her night until the early hours at The Globe in London's Notting Hill.

The Dark Knight Rises star Alon Aboutboul dies aged 60 ‘after collapsing on beac

Alon Aboutboul has died after he collapsed on a beach in Tel Aviv. The Israeli actor, 60, was one of the country's best-known stars, spending two decades mainly appearing in Israeli productions before being cast in Hollywood blockbusters like Munich, The Dark Knight Rises and London Has Fallen. However, it's now been reported he's died after going swimming at a beach. The publication N12 has reported that he was found dead on HaBonim Beach in Tel Aviv on Tuesday morning. His representative later confirmed his death to Metro. According to Ynet, a beachgoer said: 'It happened in an instant. He went into the water and everything seemed perfectly fine. After a few minutes, he suddenly came out of the water, approached people and said he wasn't feeling well, and then they called for help.' 'Everyone was really scared, he came out of the water and collapsed on the beach. Everyone wanted to help, and they recognised who it was when he came out of the water. This is a terrible tragedy here this morning, everyone here is in a big shock.' After he collapsed on the beach, Aboutboul received CPR but could not be revived. His cause of death is not immediately known. Soon after Israeli Culture and Sport Minister Miki Zohar paid tribute to the actor, posting on X: 'I was deeply pained to hear of his sudden death. 'Last night I watched an interview with him, where he talked about filming a movie he recently participated in, and the passion for the profession that radiated from him was evident even after so many years in the field. 'Alon was an Ophir Award and Television Academy Award winner and over the years portrayed a wide range of characters to which he brought depth and emotion, leaving a deep mark on Israeli culture. May his memory be blessed.' Born in Kiryat Ata to parents of Algerian and Egyptian descent, Aboutboul had over 100 film and TV credits to his name. After graduating from high school in 1983, his first screen role came three years later – in the 1986 movie, Ricochets. Other films he went on to feature in included Two Fingers from Sidon, Every Time We Say Goodbye and Makom L'Yad Hayam. It was in 1988 that Hollywood came calling, with Aboutboul playing Nissem in Rambo III. Subsequent American movies he was seen in were Killing Streets, Deadly Heroes and The Order. In 2005 he appeared in Steven Spielberg's Munich – a film about the Mossad assassinations following the Munich massacre at the 1972 Summer Olympics. Then, in 2008, he acted alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe in Ridley Scott's Body of Lies. In 2012 he appeared in another blockbuster – playing Dr. Leonid Pavel in The Dark Knight Rises. Since then Aboutboul had been seen in Septembers of Shiraz with Salma Hayek and Adrien Brody, in which he played a revolutionary guard. The next year he played an arms dealer turned terrorist mastermind alongside Gerard Butler, Aaron Eckhart and Morgan Freeman in London Has Fallen. On the small screen he also appeared in shows including the Israeli programmes Shabbats and Holidays, Harem, and Sirens, as well as Homeland, Snowfall, Twin Peaks, The Leftovers, and FBI: International. More Trending Earlier this year he also announced the release of new music. Just last night he'd reposted a photo of a beach on his Instagram account. Aboutboul is survived by his wife, Shir Bilia, and their four children. They lived in Israel and Los Angeles. Got a story? Virgin River fans predict Mel and Jack's future as season 7 airs on Netflix

Fans of the hit Netflix series Virgin River have taken to Reddit to speculate what's in store for Mel and Jack in season seven As Virgin River gets ready for its highly anticipated seventh season - set to premiere on Netflix early next year - fans are already speculating about what lies ahead for beloved couple Mel Monroe and Jack Sheridan. ‌ The hit Netflix drama follows nurse practitioner Mel, played by Alexandra Breckenridge, who moves to the quiet Northern California town of Virgin River after experiencing a tragic personal loss. There, she unexpectedly falls in love with Jack (Martin Henderson), a former Marine and the town's bar owner. ‌ Season six wrapped up with a major milestone for the couple as they finally tied the knot. The finale brought heartfelt celebrations but also delivered a few dramatic twists - most notably involving Charmaine (Lauren Hammersley), whose sudden disappearance left fans confused. ‌ Meanwhile, Mel was blindsided by a surprising request from Marley, who asked her to take care of her baby. The season finale has sparked a flurry of fan theories online, especially on Reddit, where viewers are busy piecing together what Mel and Jack's future might look like. Some believe parenthood is next on the cards for the newlyweds, particularly in light of Charmaine's vanishing and Marley's baby. ‌ One fan kicked off a discussion with their bold prediction: "Jack and Mel: Now that they are married, they're going to end up adopting the surrogate mother's baby, Charmaine's twins, and probably will be godparents to the baby Lizzie and Denny have." "They'll finally move into their new house with their three new kids," they added. ‌ But not everyone agreed with that vision. Another viewer offered a slightly different take: "Mel & Jack will just adopt the twins, but help find a home for the other baby." Others raised concerns about the tone of the show shifting too dark, particularly regarding Charmaine's fate. "I hope Calvin didn't kill Charmaine though; even though we all can't stand her, that would be pretty dark," one fan wrote. ‌ They continued: "I don't think they'll go that route. I also don't want Mel and Jack to adopt the twins, especially because they were the boys Jack was tricked into thinking were his. I think Mel and Jack will just adopt Marley's daughter." Another fan echoed this statement, offering their own theory: "I don't think Charmaine was killed. It is more likely that she murdered Calvin or maybe Jack saw something completely not connected to the Calvin situation, which would give them material for a new plot." Still, some fans believe that Mel and Jack's story needs more conflict to stay interesting, stating: "My thought was that Mel and Jack will need more drama to keep them front and centre, so Charmaine would be dead (or seriously injured), they track down Calvin with the boys and adopt the other baby, and when they get the boys back, either they adopt them too (because Charmaine passes) or they get them back to her."
