The much-anticipated sequel Son of Sardaar 2 has been released in theatres on August 1. Prior to the film's premiere, the makers hosted a glamorous special screening in Mumbai last night, drawing an impressive gathering of Bollywood celebrities. The film's star cast, Mrunal Thakur, Ravi Kishan and Kubbra Sait, among others, were joined by popular stars who came to show their support.
The event saw celebrities like Tamannaah Bhatia, Nushrratt Bharuccha, Mouni Roy, Dhanush and others gracing the evening in their best attire.

Mrunal Thakur attended the event in a floral dress with white heels. South superstar Dhanush made a stylish appearance in a white tee paired with a navy blue jacket and pants, while Mouni Roy turned heads in a chic polka dot dress.

Nushrratt Bharuccha brought glamour to the red carpet in a bold, body-hugging red dress, while Tamannaah Bhatia opted for a playful red-and-white co-ord set.
Other notable attendees included Siddhant Chaturvedi and a number of industry insiders who gathered to celebrate the action-comedy sequel. The Dhadak 2 actor sported an all-black ensemble that added to the evening's glitz.
Son Of Sardaar 2: Cast, Plot, and Storyline
The action comedy, directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, is a spiritual sequel to Ajay Devgn's 2012 hit film of the same name. Son Of Sardaar 2 promises a mix of high-octane action and humour, with new characters and fresh twists adding to the legacy of the original. Headlined by Ajay Devgn, the actor will be seen reprising his iconic role as Jaswinder 'Jassi" Singh Randhawa in the comedy franchise. Son of Sardaar 2 follows Jassi, who flies to Scotland to win back his estranged wife but stumbles into a mafia war, a hostage crisis, and a chaotic Sikh wedding.
Besides Ajay, the film also brings together an ensemble cast that includes Sanjay Mishra, Ravi Kishan, Vindu Dara Singh, Dolly Ahluwalia, Neeru Bajwa, Mrunal Thakur, Chunky Panday, Kubbra Sait, Deepak Dobriyal, Sharat Saxena, Sahil Mehta and debutant Roshni Walia in other pivotal roles.
Son of Sardaar 2 is produced by Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande, N. R. Pachisia, and Pravin Talreja under the banners of Jio Studios and Devgn Films, a Devgn Films and SOS 2 Limited production. To tickle the funny bones of viewers, the film was released at the theatres on August 1.

79th I-Day: Google showcases doodle celebrating Indias traditional tiles
Agency: PTI Last Updated: New Delhi, Aug 15 (PTI) From Jaipur blue pottery to terracotta relief work of West Bengal, search giant Google on Friday came up with a striking doodle that draws inspiration from the country's traditional tile designs, marking India's 79th Independence Day. The digital artwork ingeniously embeds themes emphasising India's achievements in space, cricket, chess, and cinema. The letters in 'GOOGLE' are made of six uniquely designed tiles from different regions of India, each symbolically representing a style. The first one is made from a Jaipur blue pottery-themed tile bearing the alphabet 'G' in a classic font, surrounded by floral artwork. The second tile bears a floral pattern and an image of a spaceship, while the third one has another traditional design and an image of a cricket ball and two cricket bats in the centre. The fourth tile represents a striking design symbolising another traditional tile of India. The fifth tile showcases a chess piece image in the centre, while the last one carries an icon of a cinema reel, forming the letters 'L' and 'E'. A note on the Google doodle webpage carries details about the story behind the doodle. The doodle artwork, illustrated by artists Makarand Narkar and Sonal Vasave of Boomranng Studio, features an enduring artistic expression of India — traditional tile, it says. 'The tiles are a diverse array of styles and textures from different regions in India, ranging from Jaipur blue pottery (Rajasthan) to terracotta relief (West Bengal). Each tile showcases a different style and a different national achievement, from space missions and world chess titles, to cricketing glory and international film recognitions," the note says. This doodle celebrates India's Independence Day. On this day in 1947, India gained its freedom after nearly two centuries of British rule. 'The Indian Independence movement was led by prominent figures who championed civil disobedience and nonviolent protests. Their efforts culminated in the birth of the world's largest democracy," it adds. On Independence Day, citizens celebrate their freedom and pride with a blend of ceremonies, cultural displays, and individual expressions of patriotism. Across the country, flag-hoisting ceremonies are organised, the note says. Families and neighbourhoods gather to perform patriotic songs, skits, and dances. Homes and streets are decorated with the national flag, which waves alongside countless colorful kites symbolising freedom.
