Love is Blind returns to screens on August 13
Love is Blind UK is returning to screens soon and Netflix has just announced the 28 new hopefuls hoping to find their dream partner.

A group of brand new singletons will arrive in the hopes of finding their perfect match. But in true Love is Blind fashion, there is of course a pretty huge twist to the standard dating show dynamic.

Participants explore connections and take part in dates without ever setting eyes on one another. Secluded in their own pods, should a couple decide to take their relationship further, it is only then will they meet face to face as they become engaged.

Following a hugely successful first series, Season 2 got the green light and it is set for release on August 13 on Netflix, hosted once again by Matt and Emma Willis.
So who are the cast members this year? Here's everything you need to know about the brand new singletons.

Wednesday fans gobsmacked as they realise where they've seen Judi Spannagel before

Netflix's Wednesday season two, part one, has landed with fans quickly realising where they recognise the star behind Judi Spannagel from. WARNING: This article contains spoilers from Wednesday season two. ‌ Wednesday season two has arrived, and fans were surprised to see a familiar face from the 1990s join the cast. ‌ Netflix launched its second series of Wednesday on Wednesday, August 6, featuring the eternally gloomy Wednesday Addams (played by Jenna Ortega) returning to Nevermore Academy. ‌ It's not long before she's embroiled in another mystery, which begins with a vision of Enid Sinclair's (Emma Myers) death and quickly spirals into something much bigger. Murderous crows have started to kill off people, and Wednesday is determined to uncover the reason. At one point, she suspects Tyler Galpin might be involved. So, she heads to Willow Hill Psychiatric Hospital where he's being held. However, before she can confront Tyler, Wednesday must endure the overly cheerful Judi (Heather Matarazzo). ‌ Judi serves as the executive assistant to chief psychiatrist Dr Rachael Fairburn (Thandiwe Newton), who oversees Tyler's care. Wednesday briefly chats with Judi while waiting for her meeting with Dr Fairburn, but it's clear that the sarcastic teen is far from charmed by Judi's upbeat attitude and vibrant jumper. ‌ Despite her brief appearance, fans were quick to recognise Judi as actress Heather Matarazzo. The 42 year old has appeared in numerous films in recent years including Paint, The Zombie Wedding, and Booger, but she remains most famous for her role in 2001's The Princess Diaries. Acting alongside Hollywood star Anne Hathaway, Matarazzo brought to life her outspoken best mate Lilly Moscovitz. ‌ She later reprised her role in the 2004 follow-up and also portrayed Martha Meeks in the horror flicks Scream and Scream 3. On Reddit, one user observed: "Guys it's Lilly. From Princess Diaries. ‌ "Being overshadowed all those years as the bestie to royalty obviously led her to madness and the dark side." Another user wrote: "I literally spent that whole scene trying to remember who she was." Meanwhile, a third fan enthusiastically declared: "OMG is that lilly from The Princess Diaries." ‌ What viewers weren't anticipating, though, was for Judi's role to be expanded in the midseason finale as it's unveiled that Judi is actually The Avian controlling the murderous crows. She has been attempting to prevent Wednesday from discovering that Stonehurst (Phil Philparr), her father, had been conducting experiments on outcasts to steal their abilities and transfer them to "normies". Judi, who was originally a "normie" before successfully transforming into an Avian, was carrying on his research but what will unfold in part two now her secrets have been exposed?

Streaming service set to block you from password sharing

Warner Bros. Discovery's streaming service, HBO Max, is preparing to implement an "aggressive" crackdown on password sharing. JB Perrette, CEO and President of Global Streaming and Interactive for WBD, indicated the company aims to close the password sharing loophole by the end of the year, with financial benefits anticipated from the fourth quarter and fully by 2026. This strategy follows the successful model of Netflix, which reported significant revenue increases after implementing its own password sharing restrictions. Disney+ also announced plans in 2024 to curb password sharing, citing Netflix's positive financial outcomes as a key motivator. Several users praised the company's business strategy, while others complained that despite Netflix's increasing revenue the quality of their product is declining.

Frankie Dettori to show star US jockey how to win the Shergar Cup at Ascot

The Italian superstar has offered to help advise Katie Davis as she makes her British debut on the Rest Of The World team at Saturday's event Frankie Dettori is to show one of the stars of Saturday's Dubai Duty Free Shergar Cup how to win at Ascot. The Italian superstar quit Britain at the end of 2023 to relocate to the US where he is now established among the leading jockeys. ‌ While in Britain he rode in 12 editions of the Shergar Cup, a unique event contested by teams of jockeys from home and abroad. There have been few better riders of the track than Dettori who rode 81 winners at Royal Ascot where he was leading rider seven times. In 1996 he famously went through the card, riding the winners of all seven races in what was dubbed 'Frankie's Magnificent Seven'. ‌ So even though he is riding on the card at Saratoga in New York state on Saturday, he has offered to give US Katie Davis some tips on how to master the course. ‌ Davis, 33, is from a family of jockeys. Her father, sister and brother are all former or currently successful riders. She is a multiple stakes winner in the US where she has ridden more than 340 winners but will be making her British debut at Ascot on Saturday when her six mounts will include Miss Information, winner of the Kensington Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot, in June. 'We were both riding work for Wesley Ward when Frankie caught me off guard.' said Davis, who featured in the hit Netflix documentary 'Race For The Crown. 'He said, 'Don't you forget me. You gotta call me when the entries come out'. So we're going to Facetime. Trust me, I'm here to win.' Davis is part of the Rest Of The World team with the Hong Kong-based duo Karis Teetan and Hugh Bowman, the Australian best known for partnering the great Winx to 25 Group 1 victories. She added: 'Words can't explain how much I am looking forward to it. I work well under pressure. It's more of an excitement for me. I will definitely enjoy every bit of it.'
