Five "Israeli" soldiers killed in Khan Younis ambush

On Friday, the Palestinian resistance carried out a well-planned ambush targeting the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) in the city of Khan Younis, in southern Gaza, resulting in the death of five soldiers and the critical injury of two others. According to Palestinian sources, a 12-member unit from the IOF was caught in the ambush, which led to the collapse of a booby-trapped building they were taking cover in, causing the casualties. The sources reported that rescue operations are still underway, as several soldiers remain trapped under the rubble amid an ongoing security incident. The ambush coincided with an escalation of the IOF's operations in Khan Younis, where the city has witnessed heavy airstrikes and artillery shelling in the northern and central areas, resulting in dozens of Palestinian deaths since Thursday. This escalation comes during the Eid al-Adha holiday, which has been marred by the sound of bombing and the suffering of residents.

Public Security Implements Comprehensive Security, Traffic, and Humanitarian Plan Ahead of Eid Al-Adha Holiday

The Public Security Directorate has developed a comprehensive security, traffic, and humanitarian plan to facilitate services for citizens and ensure their safety during the Eid Al-Adha holiday, aiming to provide a secure environment for both residents and visitors. اضافة اعلان The all-encompassing plan spans multiple sectors and covers all governorates of the Kingdom, including internal and external roads, residential neighborhoods, markets, and recreational and tourist sites. It involves an increased presence of both mobile and foot patrols, and heightened readiness to handle reports and observations around the clock. The plan also includes elevated preparedness at border crossings and terminals, which are expected to witness heavy traffic due to the return of expatriates and the arrival of visitors from neighboring countries, in addition to pilgrims returning from Hajj. On the traffic front, specialized departments have already begun implementing a strategy to organize traffic flow and prevent dangerous violations and reckless behavior. Environmentally, the Royal Department for Environmental Protection, in cooperation with relevant authorities, will conduct inspections in markets, livestock sacrifice points, and touristic and forested areas to ensure adherence to environmental regulations and prevent violations that could harm public health or the ecosystem. Additionally, correctional facilities will open their doors for family visits during the holiday, in line with a rehabilitative approach that supports family ties and maintains a humane environment within detention centers. Meanwhile, the Civil Defense Directorate has increased its preparedness to provide humanitarian services, deploying advanced field teams to recreational areas and water bodies to ensure quick emergency response and efficient incident management. The Public Security Directorate emphasized the importance of public awareness and compliance with safety guidelines, urging citizens to remain vigilant and not hesitate to report any emergency via the unified emergency number (911).

Sweden tries terrorist over Kasasbeh burnt, eyebrow scar identifies him

Ammon News - The trial of Swedish terrorist Osama Karim begins Wednesday, in the Swedish capital, Stockholm, for his role in the 2014 capture and subsequent killing of a Jordanian pilot burned alive in Syria. The case is considered unique as the other involved in the brutal killing, which sparked international outrage at the time, are presumed dead, Swedish prosecutor Henrik Olin told AFP. He now faces charges of "serious war crimes and terrorist crimes" for the killing of the Jordanian pilot, with his trial due to open at 9:00 am (0700 GMT) at Stockholm's district court. On December 24, 2014, an aircraft belonging to the Royal Jordanian Air Force crashed in Syria. Bringing the case to trial was the result of extensive cooperation with officials in Belgium, France and the United States, prosecutor Olin said last week. Eyebrow scar It was thanks to a scar on the suspect's eyebrow, visible in the video and spotted by Belgian police, that Krayem was identified and the investigation was opened, said another prosecutor on the case, Reena Devgun. Other evidence includes conversations on social media, including one where Krayem asks a person if he has seen a new video "where a man gets fried", according to the investigation, a copy of which has been viewed by AFP. "I'm in the video," Krayem said, pointing out the moment when the camera zooms in on his face. The other person replies: "Hahaha, yes, I saw the eyebrow."
