NAREDCO all praise for Bhu Bharati, BuildNow in Telangana
HYDERABAD: The National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO) Telangana on Wednesday extended its support to the government's initiative of Bhu Bharati portal and BuildNow application.
Speaking to the media here, the NAREDCO members asserted that the Bhu Bharti portal will serve as a restructured and more efficient version of Dharani portal, addressing challenges by simplifying processes, correcting legacy errors and improving public confidence in land ownership records.
They said that Bhu Bharati is a modernised Record of Rights (RoR) system that provides clean and verified land titles essential for reducing legal risks and supporting developers in making secure, informed investment decisions.
NAREDCO president Vijaya Sai Meka said: 'The Bhu Bharathi initiative marks a significant stride toward a transparent and efficient land administration system in Telangana. Alongside this, the BuildNow application is set to streamline building and layout approvals, further easing project execution for developers".
"NAREDCO Telangana believes this initiative will bring immense value to developers, investors and buyers alike. The Council is committed to working closely with the government to ensure that the real estate sector maximises the benefits of this progressive reform,' he added.
He further said that the Bhu Bharati portal was a vital reform aimed at transforming the state's land governance framework. The core objective of this initiative is to establish a transparent, efficient and legally robust land administration system that strengthens land security, reduces disputes, and simplifies property transactions, he added.
The Council also urged the government to maintain an open channel of communication with industry stakeholders to ensure seamless implementation, ongoing improvements and user-friendly access to the Bhu Bharathi platform.
Such collaboration is essential to positioning Telangana as a model for land reforms that not only support economic development but also build a future-ready and investor-friendly real estate environment, the members said.

Washington, Jun 6 (PTI) India is not friendless in the UN Security Council and Pakistan chairing its Taliban Sanctions Committee and being named vice-chair of the Counter-Terrorism Committee is a designation without much practical consequence, Congress leader Shashi Tharoor has said. Pakistan, a non-permanent member of the Security Council for the 2025-26 term, will chair the Council's Taliban Sanctions Committee for 2025 and will be vice-chair of the Counter-Terrorism Committee of the 15-nation UN organ. Guyana and Russia will be vice-chair of the 1988 Taliban Sanctions Committee. Algeria will chair the 1373 Counter-Terrorism Committee while France and Russia will be the other vice-chairs. Pakistan will also be co-chair of the Informal Working Groups on Documentation and Other Procedural Questions and on the General UNSC Sanctions Issues. India has consistently reminded the international community that Pakistan is host to the world's largest number of UN-proscribed terrorists and entities. Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden was hiding in Pakistan's Abbottabad for years and was killed in an operation by the US Navy Seals in May 2011. There's nothing more than that. And many of these positions are rotational…. He highlighted that there are various committees of the Security Council, such as one pursuant to resolution 1540 that deals with preventing non-state actors from acquiring, developing or using nuclear weapons. 'It would have been really funny if Pakistan had been given that particular chairmanship, but that at least mercifully, has not happened.' Pointing out that the UNSC committees work on consensus, he said there is no way that the chairman, whoever it may be, can get a particular point of view through or get something accepted or rejected merely by virtue of being chairman. 'The others will weigh in very heavily. And we are not exactly friendless in the Security Council, and therefore in its committees,' he said. The delegation, which had arrived from India in New York on May 24, had travelled to Guyana, Panama, Colombia and Brazil before arriving in Washington Tuesday afternoon for the last leg of the tour. Tharoor pointed out that the delegation did not go to the United Nations headquarters in New York. 'For us, it's more a series of bilateral exercises with countries that we believe need to be sensitised to our point of view, and as I said, that mission has been successful.' Book launched on Telangana's steel prowess
Hyderabad: About 6,000 years ago, Telangana had the best type of steel in the world which was exported to many countries. This steel was also used for manufacturing high quality knives in Damascus. These were the details mentioned in the book 'Wootz, The Forgotten Metal Craft of Deccan' which was released by Leader of Opposition in Council S Madhusudhana Chary on Thursday. A paragraph from the book reads, 'Damascus is the main centre for manufacturing the highest quality knives in the world. However, Damascus used to import steel produced in Telangana for the manufacture of these knives. Moreover, they used to provide ten gold nuggets for one piece of steel to our Telangana manufacturers. About 6,000 years ago, Telangana had the best type of steel in the world and was exported to many countries of the world.' The book, written by Dr Sriperambudur Jaikishan, was released at a programme held at the Telugu University Auditorium in Nampally. The programme was organised by the National Vishwakarma Employees and Professionals Association under National President of the Association A Padma Chary. Madhusudhana Chary said that this book, prepared with evidence, would serve as a good research book that Telangana, which had a rich cultural and historical history, also produces high-quality steel.
