'Asim Munir wants to take control of Pakistan before November 2025 to save himself from a US bill,' says Dr Salman Ahmad, a member of Junoon and an aide of former PM Imran Khan
Dr Salman Ahmad, a member of Junoon band and a close aide of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) leader and former PM Imran Khan, in an exclusive interview with News18, explained the motive behind their Army chief Asim Munir's actions.
'Munir wants to eliminate Imran Khan. His speech before the diaspora was unwarranted. He spoke about sectarian division, like the British army wanted to divide and rule," said Ahmad.
Addressing the Overseas Pakistanis Convention in Islamabad last month, just before the Pahalgam attack, Munir said, 'Our forefathers thought we are different from Hindus in every aspect…Our religion is different, our customs are different, our traditions are different, our thoughts are different, our ambitions are different, that's where the foundation of the two-nation theory was laid. We are two nations, we are not one nation."
He also repeatedly termed Kashmir Pakistan's 'jugular vein". He added that Pakistan will not forget this and expressed solidarity with the 'struggle" of the region.
He urged Pakistanis to teach their children a narrative of religious and cultural superiority. Munir also vowed to crack down on terrorists in Balochistan and termed it the 'destiny of Pakistan", stating that 'even ten generations of terrorists cannot harm Balochistan and Pakistan".
'ASIM MUNIR TRYING TO PROTECT HIMSELF'
The Pakistan Democracy Act introduced in US Parliament has recommended sanctions against Asim Munir for visa restrictions and asset freeze, said Ahmad. 'Munir wants to take control of Pakistan before November 2025 to save himself from this bill," Ahmad said, adding, 'Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif is a puppet in the hands of Munir and his employees."

The Khan camp feels a campaign of terror will be launched against Khan soon. 'This campaign will also target Khan's supporters…In the coming days, incidents of violence, murder, physical torture and kidnapping will increase…These attacks will happen to silence those who bravely raise their voices against the injustices of Munir. Maryam Nawaz Sharif and their family have spoken in favour of the real Prime Minister Imran Khan," he said.
Ahmad said that during the three-and-a-half years in power, Khan wanted military to be in barracks, just like India. 'But in 78 years, Pakistan has been taken over by a military cartel, from Yahya Khan to Pervez Musharraf to Munir. They controlled everything — economy, foreign policy and media and even control. But the Army doesn't understand civil matters."

According to intelligence sources, Munir is desperate after a misadventure on India. 'Munir wants internal crises to handle backlash after Pahalgam. He also wants to control Khan. He is worried about his future because America is adamant to clear the bill on Pakistan democracy. He wants to capture Pakistan before that," they said.

Rajasthan State employee who was detained earlier arrested for espionage
The Rajasthan Police's intelligence unit has arrested a State government employee on charges of spying for Pakistan. He had been under surveillance for suspicious activities for an extended period. The accused, Shakur Khan, was earlier detained on May 28 and subjected to an intensive interrogation by multiple agencies. Khan, 49, working as an assistant administrative officer (AAO) at the district employment office in Jaisalmer, was allegedly passing sensitive and strategic information to his handlers in Pakistan. He obtained Pakistani visas on several occasions and travelled to Pakistan without reporting to higher authorities. Inspector General of Police (Security) Vishnu Kant said here on Tuesday that Khan was in regular contact with some individuals working at the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi, especially Ahsan-ur-Rahim, alias Danish, and Sohail Qamar. Danish was declared persona non grata by the Union government last month and was asked to leave India immediately. 'During his visits to Pakistan, Khan came in contact with the agents of the Inter-Service Intelligence (ISI). He collected sensitive information after returning to India and transmitted it to his Pakistani handlers through WhatsApp and other social media platforms,' Mr. Kant said in a statement. Khan had access to sensitive documents while working in the border district of Jaisalmer. Since the matter constituted a serious security breach, a case was registered under the Official Secrets Act, 1923, and Khan was arrested, Mr. Kant said. A court in Jaipur, where Khan was produced under strict security on Tuesday, remanded him to police custody for seven days. Pakistani contacts As per the first information report, Khan had several Pakistani phone numbers saved in his three mobile phones, which have been seized and sent for technical analysis. He allegedly shared strategically important videos and images with his handlers on these numbers, but this material had been deleted. A native of Mangliyon Ki Dhani hamlet in Jaisalmer district's Badoda Gaon village, Khan served as a personal assistant to former Minister Saleh Mohammed during the previous Congress regime. Khan's association with Mr. Mohammed has led to a political controversy since his detention. Pradesh Congress Committee president Govind Singh Dotasra said being a personal assistant to a Minister did not constitute a valid ground to implicate the Minister or his family in a crime. 'We have nothing to do with any criminal or anti-national activity. If the police have received some inputs, they should investigate and take action against the accused,' Mr. Dotasra said.

1 2 Pune: Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan on Tuesday said "on May 10 around 1am, Pakistan aimed to bring India to its knees in 48 hours" but "their operation, which they thought would continue for 48 hours, folded up in about eight hours". "Then they picked up the telephone and said they wanted to talk," Gen Chauhan said. He said Op Sindoor was the first time India had engaged in non-contact warfare. "We didn't see each other. We saw it either through radar or at different ranges, except for what was happening on the LoC. It was a mixture of kinetic and non-kinetic war. When I say non-kinetic, that happened in the information domain and cyber domain. And, of course, there were kinetic operations where destruction was being caused to each other. It was also nonlinear in nature. So there's something happening on the LoC and something happening as far back as Sargodha." Gen Chauhan spoke about how India networked all its air defence architecture and was using AI for predictive analysis to give a comprehensive picture and negate the threat. "So better and faster information was available to our side. We also tried to kind of network our counter UAS system, which was countering drones. And in the 7-15 days, we were able to do that," Gen Chauhan said. The CDS, delivering a special lecture organised by Savitribai Phule Pune University's Department of Defence and Strategic Studies on the "Future of War and Warfare", also touched upon data-centric warfare, which will be based on data analysis deciding cognitive or decision superiority. "Similar green shoots of that were visible in Op Sindoor," he said. He also explained how, through Operation Sindoor , India raised the bar and redrew new lines for military operations in response to terror. Referring to his previous media statements about India suffering losses, Chauhan said, "You should be able to understand what went wrong, rectify your mistakes, and go out again despite the initial setbacks. That is a hallmark of a professional force. And that's the kind of thing we displayed. What I said in a couple of my interviews — that losses are not important, it's the outcome which is important." Chauhan likened it to Test cricket, where, when one side wins by an innings, there are no questions about how many balls or players played. Gen Chauhan said they would share data on the result of Indian strikes based on technical parameters like electronic intelligence and signal intelligence at some point. Stating that it was Pakistan's strategy to bleed India by a thousand cuts, Chauhan said Gen Asim Munir (now field marshal) had spewed similar venom against India and Hindus a few weeks before Pahalgam. "But these decisions can be retracted as Pakistan is faced with a different kind of prospect, that it faces military action in case we find terror happening against us. So we have kind of raised the bar. We have connected terror to water and we have drawn out new lines for military operations against terror." When Pakistan did ask for talks and de-escalation, Gen Chauhan said India accepted, but not immediately. According to the CDS, Pakistan's decision to talk stemmed from two facts: "They must have assumed that if they continued in this mode, they were likely to lose much more. And the second, since they struck us on multiple fronts, they still did not have the benefit of understanding what they struck and they wanted to talk. It is only after one or two days that they realised that all their attacks against us had failed." Revealing details of the night of the first airstrikes on May 7, the CDS said, "We did it from 11.05pm to around 1.30am, and five minutes later we rang the director-general of military operations to say that we've done this, we hit only terror targets, that military establishments are out of the purview of the strikes, and we ensured that there was no collateral damage to civilians. We need to talk to each other." The CDS said war has expanded into space, cyberspace, the electromagnetic domain, etc. "A lot of activities took place between both of us for four days in the electromagnetic domain. Interactivity also took place in the cyber domain. We also had a lot of activity in the domain of perception management, information, or maybe you can call it cognitive warfare, in which shaping the mind of the people is more important than the landscape. "

MP: Pachmarhi Sanctuary to be named after Raja Bhabhoot Singh, says CM Yadav
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], June 3 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Tuesday announced to name the Pachmarhi Sanctuary after Gond ruler Raja Bhabhoot Singh, a symbol of the tribal community's bravery and valour. The CM also chaired a cabinet meeting at Raj Bhavan in Pachmarhi in memory of the Gond ruler and remembered his legacy. Ahead of the cabinet meeting, while addressing the council of ministers, the CM announced to rename the Pachmarhi Sanctuary 'The Pachmarhi Sanctuary will now be known as 'Raja Bhabhoot Singh Pachmarhi Sanctuary'. This renaming is dedicated to Raja Bhabhoot Singh's love for nature and his lifelong efforts to protect Pachmarhi from foreign forces. The sanctuary will also showcase details of Raja Bhabhoot Singh's life, his struggles, valour, and contributions. This move aims to enhance local pride and strengthen the identity of the sanctuary, making it a symbol of both historical and natural heritage,' the CM said. He also stated that Raja Bhabhoot Singh had a deep influence on the tribal society, and his tales of bravery still resonate in the public consciousness. Holding the cabinet meeting in Pachmarhi is a tribute to his legacy. Recalling Raja Bhabhut Singh's contributions, the Chief Minister said that he was a close ally of freedom fighter Tatya Tope during the 1857 War of Independence. Known for his guerrilla warfare tactics, Bhabhut Singh was referred to as the 'Shivaji of Narmadanchal.' The British had to summon the Madras Infantry to capture him. Despite constant battles against the British until 1860, they could only arrest him after two years and subsequently hanged him the same year. Additionally, CM announced that three tribal community conventions will be organized this month. The Baiga Convention at Bajag in Dindori on June 7, Kol Convention in Beohari, Shahdol on June 9 to mark Birsa Munda Jayanti, and Sahariya Convention in Kolaras, Shivpuri on June 18. He also informed that from June 9 to 21, state-wide events will be held to commemorate 11 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's public welfare governance. Additionally, the birth centenary of former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee will be celebrated, who shared a special bond with Madhya Pradesh. The Chief Minister further noted that May was a month full of developmental achievements for Madhya Pradesh. Prime Minister Modi inaugurated new airports in Datia and Satna, and the Metro in Indore. He also released the first installment for the construction of 1,271 Atal Gram Good Governance Buildings. These milestones reflect the state's progress in development and welfare. Furthermore, CM Yadav shared that Khandwa district has set a national record in water conservation under the 'Water Conservation - Public Participation Campaign' for the period from April 1, 2024, to May 31, 2025. Khandwa ranked first in the country among districts, while Madhya Pradesh secured fourth place among states. This is a matter of pride for the state. The Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan is being run from March 30 to June 30, and the Chief Minister called upon all cabinet members to lead public awareness and participation in water conservation efforts in their respective regions.
