The esteemed British perfume brand has unveiled its latest summer collection, and it's absolutely delightful. The Raspberry Ripple range draws inspiration from the iconic ice cream flavour, evoking memories of childhood visits to the quintessential British seaside.
While the full-sized 100ml Raspberry Ripple Cologne is priced at £128, a more portable 30ml version is available for £59 on the Jo Malone website and Cult Beauty, both adorned with charming candy-striped bows.

Jo Malone London characterises this new summer fragrance as "A scrumptious raspberry ripple ice cream. Sharp-scarlet juices of lush raspberries and redcurrants swirling through white musk. Vivacious and enticing," featuring top notes of redcurrant, heart notes of raspberry, and a base note of white musk.
Although the Raspberry Ripple Cologne has only been released this week, it has already received a five-star review on the Jo Malone website, where it's been hailed as "another best ever", reports the Mirror.

The scent is said to be like 'icecream in a bottle'
If you're looking for something along the lines of the aforementioned scent but with greater longevity, consider Jo Malone London's new Beach Blossom Cologne, priced at £86, or the iconic Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess Eau Fraîche Skinscent, which is currently on offer with a 25% discount, bringing it down to £43.50.
A shopper eagerly purchased a new fragrance as soon as it was available through an early pre-sale, buying it blind without having sampled the scent. They've done this with their previous limited edition fragrances, which they found to be excellent.
"This is no different and does not disappoint and I love it! Fruity and sharp but with a lovely background hint of subtle musk of some sort! Not too sweet but reminds me of summers and ice creams, It's very distinctive and for me, lasting well. I just love it! The packaging is also lovely, another Jo Malone triumph. I'm a big fan!" they wrote.
Beauty editor Laura had the opportunity to sample the fragrance before its release and shared her thoughts: "I'm not normally one for fruity fragrances, but this is utterly irresistible. It's much more tart than sweet, and transports me to a particular moment or memory more than any other perfume I've ever smelt. A definitely summer hit."

'I watched Brookside for the first time and one scene resonated most'
Brookside was a British soap opera which aired on Channel 4 from 1982 to 2003, and was a hugely influential show during its 21 year run As a new Hollyoaks crossover is being planned, it's time to take another look at Brookside. For reporter Holly Clarke, it was her first experience with the iconic soap Here are her thoughts: I took a trip down memory lane and watched Brookside for the first time, and boy, did it leave an impression. Brookside was truly ahead of its time. Having hit our screens in 1982 - admittedly, ahead of my time - the soap became a sensation and ran for more than 20 years. While every scene in Brookside holds some significance for viewers, I chose to watch the iconic scene from a 1994 episode that forever changed the face of television. The episode showcased a kiss between Beth Jordache and Margaret Clemence - an interaction that would barely warrant a second glance these days. But at the time it was a groundbreaking moment for LGBTQ+ representation on television. This scene marked the first lesbian kiss broadcast before the 9pm watershed on Channel 4, revolutionising LGBTQ+ acceptance. For millions, life on Brookside Close was as much a part of their daily routine as what was happening right outside their own front door. Despite being axed in 2003, the show left a lasting legacy with its dramatic storylines and boundary-pushing narratives, leaving an indelible mark on British TV. But it was this particular scene that seemed to resonate most with viewers, pushing the envelope and proving that Brookside could change narratives. It underscored just how influential TV can be in shaping societal norms. The sequence featuring Margaret (Nicola Stephenson) and Beth (Anna Friel) was daring, bold and groundbreaking. The show's creators genuinely concentrated on the characters' genuine feelings, emotions and responses to one another. Consequently, countless viewers felt represented. It brought to mind the recent plot development on Coronation Street, where supporters were thrilled to witness beloved character Carla Connor begin a romance with DS Lisa Swain. Taking to social media, audiences were delighted to see Carla remain authentic to herself and embrace her genuine feelings. The enthusiasm fans showed for witnessing the romance develop could suggest they owe a debt to Brookside, as that's where it all began. The sequence gave young women a fresh feeling of belonging, within a conventional society during the 1990s when encouraging homosexuality in educational settings was discouraged. Following the episode, I noticed that Brookside was entertaining and packed with drama, but crucially portrayed authentic and everyday existence. Maybe this explains why the moment was so revolutionary, witnessing two 'ordinary' women do what felt right for them and their feelings. More than 40 years have passed since Brookside first broadcast, yet this legendary moment still feels refreshing for the LGBTQ+ community. It certainly won't be my final Brookside episode - and I'm open to suggestions about which episode watch next.
