Coronation Street's Helen Flanagan shows off painful 'black eye' after surgery

Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan - who played Rosie Webster on the ITV soap - showed off her 'black eye' after undergoing cosmetic surgery Helen Flanagan has shown off her 'black eyes' after undergoing cosmetic surgery. The Coronation Street star - who played Rosie Webster in the ITV soap - was seen sporting some bruising around her eye in a new post on social media. ‌ The Corrie star has been open about the surgery she has undergone, which at times she has been heavily criticised for. She opened up in 2022 about undergoing a breast enhancement and said it really helped her to get her confidence back. ‌ Speaking a few years back, she said of her decision: "I was quite open here on Instagram in January about my recent boob job. This was something I wanted to do for a really long time and by doing so I've really got my confidence back. ‌ "I breastfed in total for three years. Matilda I fed for eight months. Delilah I fed for 13 months. Charlie I fed for 14 months. As soon as I finished my breastfeeding journey with Charlie I wanted to get them done pretty much straight away. I felt like you could tie them in a bow. I had to wait though for six months after feeding and then I went for it in January." She added: "I don't regret one second of my breastfeeding journeys they were precious times. I was a little bit nervous I was worried they were going to be too big for my frame but they are so perfect for me and so in proportion." ‌ As part of her latest treatment, Helen underwent polynucleotide cosmetic facial surgery in her latest procedure. It is a type of cosmetic surgery, which uses DNA fragments to help to rejuvenate and revitalise the skin. It gives a youthful and radiant complexion but can initially cause redness, swelling and bruising where they are injected. In 2019, Helen also decided to have Botox and explained how it has made her feel more confident. ‌ "I felt super tired from having Delilah and I wanted to feel fresher and more confident in myself. I would take pictures on my phone with the kids and would be shocked how much older I looked where in my head I still feel like I'm 20," she said. "I'm so happy with my Botox and if you're like me and still want to look 23, then it's a good idea." Just a few weeks ago, Helen recalled how she was verbally abused by a man on the Tube for standing up for another woman. She explained how the woman had been harassed by the man and when she stood up for the woman, she was verbally abused too. "He was really awful and I actually felt really intimidated, and I felt like I couldn't say much to him because I did feel really intimidated by him. He said to me, it was like the weirdest thing he could have said, 'You've got so much Botox in your forehead', and I was sat there with an iced coffee, and he was like, 'I'm surprised you can even drink through a straw,'" she recalled.

Inside England captain Leah Williamson's romance with Miss USA winner Elle Smith

England captain Leah Williamson will be leading the Lionesses to hopeful victory in the Women's Euro 2025 finals tonight. Leah's England will take on former rivals Spain in St Jakob-Park in Basel, Switzerland, two years after losing out on their World Cup attempt. All eyes will be on the England team, including 29-year-old team captain Leah, who was permanently appointed to the post by England manager Sarina Wiegman in 2022. But what do we know about Leah's life away from the pitch? Does she have a girlfriend or partner? When not leading her team to victory, Leah has made headlines for her rumoured romance with former Miss USA Elle Smith. Here's all we know about Leah Williamson's relationship with the 27-year-old beauty pageant winner. American journalist and beauty pageant contestant Elle Smith was crowned Miss USA in 2021. In the run-up to the competition, she was named Miss Kentucky USA that same year, making her only the second woman from Kentucky to win Miss USA. She went on to represent the United States at Miss Universe, ultimately finishing in the Top 10, losing out to India's Harnaaz Sandhu. Although they became romantically linked in 2024, Leah and Elle have not officially confirmed whether they are in a relationship. Speculation that the pair were 'soft-launching' a relationship began in March, when Elle posted a video of her and Leah floating in the ocean together on a paddleboard. This came accompanied by the caption 'happy birthday my love x,' to which Leah responded with a series of emojis. Since then, they have continued to pop up all over each other's social media, including a picture of them celebrating England's 6-0 win against Portugal, back in May. In the black-and-white picture, Leah sits on Elle's lap, with the former Miss USA titleholder's arms around her. In response to the picture, Leah commented: 'We did it🥹🥹🥹' Last month, Elle shared a series of snapshots from their holiday to Majorca together – many of which saw the pair looking very loved-up indeed. These images included a snap of Elle and Leah on a paddleboard together, as well as shots of them all dressed up and headed out for dinner. Leah shared her own carousel of images on her Instagram page, too, which included a number of grabs of Elle smiling and contented. Leah also showed her appreciation when Elle shared a series of snaps posing in her Skims bikini while on holiday in Jamaica for her birthday last month. 'I have no words,' Leah wrote in the comments to the post – to which Elle responded: 'all yours.' More Trending She then commented again soon afterwards, writing: 'Just come for a second viewing.' Elle has shared a message of support ahead of tonight's final, posting a snap of herself in a t-shirt to her Instagram Stories. This wasn't any old England t-shirt either. The message emblazoned on the white tee's front in red writing? 'Live, Laugh, Leah.' Got a story? BBC Countryfile's Adam Henson says 'I'll go back' as he hints at future away from show

Countryfile presenter Adam Henson has been a familiar face on our screens for more than 20 years, but has a very different life away from the TV cameras Adam Henson has dropped a mysterious hint about potentially stepping back from television if his "face doesn't fit one day". ‌ During a BBC Farmwatch broadcast, the presenter discussed his Cotswolds operation, revealing that 180 staff work at the Cotswold Farm Park in Cheltenham. ‌ It appears Adam's responsibilities have shifted over time, admitting his "hands are soft" and that his current duties involve "managing managers", with an 8am kick-off (considerably later than most farmers begin their day). ‌ Nevertheless, the Countryfile favourite clearly retains affection for traditional agricultural work. When questioned whether he missed that aspect of farming, he replied that he "always wanted" to be a farmer and continues to adore it. ‌ Adam remarked: "Yeah, you know, I grew up on a farm wanting to be a farmer, went to agricultural college, you know, travelled the world working on farms. It's something I've always wanted to do, and I still love it." He added: "So the telly world has taken me slightly away from that. That's a pleasure, but if my face doesn't fit one day, which I'm sure it won't, I'll go back to being a proper farmer." The beloved broadcaster has also featured on programmes including Gardeners' World, Springtime on the Farm and Lambing Live, sharing expertise from his farm since 2001. Adam is wed to spouse Charlotte, and together they share two grown-up children, Alfie and Ella. ‌ Nevertheless, his children have chosen not to mirror his professional journey and have instead embarked on completely different vocational routes. Adam was apparently motivated by his father to pursue the dual occupations of agriculture and broadcasting, explaining how he would telephone after every programme to provide encouragement or critique. Chatting to the Express, Adam shared how his father was "ahead of his time" by welcoming visitors to the farm and allowing guests to "bottle-feed a lamb or hold a chick". ‌ He commented: "While I was pulling on my wellies and chasing my dad out of the door to join him on the farm, my own children aren't interested in a career in farming." The 59-year-old disclosed that his daughter works as an events organiser in Perth, while his son is a financial adviser in Leeds. This means that when the tenancy expires in 12 years, he and Charlotte will relocate to a bungalow in Winchcombe. Nevertheless, it probably won't be too far removed from his former agricultural existence, as Adam observed that they will still have a few acres and he intends to keep "a few sheep and the dogs".
