Viewers of Lorraine were left feeling a touch unsettled on Tuesday when Amanda Owen, the well-known Yorkshire shepherdess and mother-of-nine, made a live appearance from her farm that became more than just a plug for her new show.
Famed for her role in Our Yorkshire Farm alongside now ex-husband Clive Owen and their expansive family, 50 year old Amanda was on the show to chat about the forthcoming series of Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids. This More4 spinoff documents the erstwhile couple and their kids as they embark on an exciting new renovation venture.
During her conversation with presenter Lorraine Kelly, 65, Amanda didn't shy away from the realities of life after divorce and the intricacies of co-parenting whilst still managing sizeable shared responsibilities. Yet, it wasn't the stories of farm life or humorous memories that had viewers glued; it was Amanda's own personal state.

Reflecting on her rapport with Clive post their 2022 separation, Amanda gave a forthright and eye-opening perspective: "It's about moving forward. We've got plenty to amuse ourselves. There's space... There's room to get away from each other, if we're being absolutely brutally honest here. If we got on like a house on fire, we wouldn't be separate would we?".

With honesty, Amanda touched upon the trials of bringing up nine children in the wake of a split, conceding: "It's not all sunshine and springtime. The reality is, we're just getting on with it and making it up as we go along.", reports the Mirror.
Amanda brought a touch of sincere wit to her candid reflections on her lively yet fulfilling lifestyle: "I'm quite proud of how we're going on. It's about priorities. This life isn't about perfection... Turn around, go in the house - goodness me. There are goats going through the house. Literally tumbleweed going through the door. It took me time to get the children to school this morning without being covered in lamb poo and snot."
However upbeat her comments may have been, some followers sensed that not all was as it seemed. On social media, concern for Amanda quickly surfaced.
"Is Amanda OK? Something doesn't seem right," questioned one viewer on X. "She doesn't look well." another observed.
Accusations surfaced that the interview overlooked what appeared to be evident signs of fatigue or pressure. "Lorraine acting completely oblivious to what she's seeing in front of her eyes - as usual."
A further voice chimed in with, "God, Amanda doesn't look well at all. Hope she's doing okay."
The consensus wasn't universal, though; numerous supporters rallied behind Amanda, lauding her tenacity, genial nature, and unwavering commitment to her family. "Nine kids and running a farm - Amanda Owen is a powerhouse," an admirer commented.
"She looks incredible considering everything she juggles."
Ever since the Owen clan gained fame back in 2018, Amanda has stayed in the limelight with Our Yorkshire Farm, a show which followed their tough but picturesque life at Ravenseat Farm and won over the nation. Following five successful series and a public breakup, the programme concluded in 2022.
Since then, the family has continued to grace our screens through spinoffs such as Beyond The Yorkshire Farm: Reuben and Clive and Reuben: Life in the Dales. Now, with Our Farm Next Door, audiences are offered a fresh insight into how Amanda, Clive, and their brood are constructing something new - both physically and emotionally.

Emmerdale star's real-life brother sobs as they go head to head for award
It was an emotional night at the British Soap Awards as Amelia Flanagan and her brother broke down in tears during the Best Young Performer Award Emmerdale star Amelia Flanagan was seen in tears when she accepted the award for Best Young Performer at the British Soap Awards 2025. The 16-year-old, who plays April Windsor in the ITV soap won the award for her portrayal of the character, who is the half-sister of Leo Goskirk and daughter of police officer Donna Windsor and chef Marlon Dingle. However, Emmerdale star Amelia wasn't the only member of her family to be nominated for the award. Her brother, William Flanagan was also nominated for his portrayal of Joseph Winter-Brown on Coronation Street. There was no sibling rivalry between the two however, as they engaged in an adorable moment as Amelia accepted her award. In an emotional moment, Amelia sobbed as she took to the stage, paying tribute to her brother in her speech. The star and her brother broke down in tears as her name was announced, with William giving his older sister a standing ovation. Starting her speech, Amelia, 16, paid tribute to her brother. "This means everything. I just want to say, my little brother," as the audience erupted into cheers. "Who I love so much," she continued. Amelia went on to thank everyone at Emmerdale, before concluding with tears in her eyes: "Thank you so much, this means the world to me." Amelia's win came after she took centre stage in a harrowing storyline earlier this year when she ran away from home after falling pregnant. April sadly suffered the loss of her baby daughter in a stillbirth, and has since been struggling to adjust to life back in the village. Over in the cobbles, William's nomination came after a difficult time for Joseph. Last year, the character fell ill, and most recently, we've seen the character left guilt-stricken, after he pranked the emergency services. The family affair doesn't stop there, as William and Amelia's sister Isabella Flanagan is also a soap star, starring as Hope Stape alongside Joseph in Coronation Street. In the soap, Joseph and Hope's prank meant the ambulance could not get to injured Mason Radcliffe in time after a stabbing. Mason later died from his injuries, and Joseph was horrified and tried to report himself to the police. Amelia and William were nominated in the category alongside EastEnders star Sonny Kendall who plays Tommy Moon, and Hollyoaks star Noah Holdsworth who plays Oscar Osborne.

Coronation Street and Emmerdale humiliated at British Soap Awards as rival soap wins EIGHT gongs But it was bad news for Coronation Street as the programme suffered a devastating loss after managing to bag just the specially curated Outstanding Achievement Award which went to Roy Cropper star David Neilson. The show failed to secure wins in any of the main panel or viewer-voted categories amid ITV's ongoing cash crisis and the mass cast exodus at the soap over the past six months. Its ITV counterpart Emmerdale also faced a crushing blow ahead of the impending ITV schedule changes which will see 30 minutes worth of each programme cut a week from January 2026. Advertisement BBC rival EastEnders swept the board after collecting a total of eight gongs in its 40th anniversary year - more than double its nearest rival, Channel 4's Hollyoaks who got three awards. EastEnders was awarded Best Soap after its huge live episode and anniversary week which saw Anita Dobson return as Angie Watts and Martin Fowler killed off in the arms of his love, Stacey. It was certainly not the only award that they picked up with actress Lacey Turner receiving the trophy for Best Leading Performer ahead of her impending exit from the show. The British Soap Awards were due to air on ITV on Wednesday evening but the star-studded ceremony was forced off air due to a technical glitch, leaving fans fuming. The British Soap Awards aired to a technical hiccup last night, leaving ITV viewers distinctly unimpressed. The anticipated awards ceremony was scheduled for an 8pm start on ITV1 but failed to grace the screens as planned. Instead of the glitz and glamour of the soap world, viewers were presented with an apology message stating: "We're sorry for the disruption." Both ITVX and the television channel encountered the issue, prompting fans to vent their frustration on social media platforms, reports the Mirror. Disgruntled fans took to Twitter to air their grievances, with one viewer exclaiming: "Where are the #BritishSoapAwards, ITV? Is this because #EastEnders won everything? !" Another disappointed fan added: "Not like we've been waiting all day for this. Cut it out, ITV! #britishsoapawards." One comment read: "Welcome to the "We're sorry for the disruption" awards I guess! #britishsoapawards," while another frustrated viewer shared: "#BritishSoapAwards Oh come on @ITV. Get on with the soap awards! ! Just hope they show from the start. Bloody annoying!!" The star-studded event took place in London over the weekend, with the broadcast traditionally following a few days afterward on ITV. Hosting duties were assumed by Jane McDonald, who returned to take the reins from Phillip Schofield. Jane McDonald expressed her delight at returning to host The British Soap Awards by saying, "I'm beyond excited to be hosting The British Soap Awards again as I had such a ball hosting the awards last time. You all know I love my soaps, so to be in a room giving recognition to all these wonderful actors and their fantastic hard work is simply joyous. I can't wait to get my glittery frock on and celebrate with everyone." EastEnders emerged as the big winners during this year's prestigious Soap Awards, scooping numerous accolades including Best British Soap and Best Leading Performer for Lacey Turner, who took on the role of Stacey Slater. The Villain of the Year was awarded to Navin Chowdhry, the actor behind the sinister Nish Panesar - a character whose storyline concluded with dramatic scenes earlier in the year. Steve McFadden garnered praise for his compelling portrayal of Phil Mitchell and the associated psychosis storyline which gained the Best Single Episode award, whilst McFadden himself was honoured with Best Dramatic Performance. The Scene of the Year accolade was secured by EastEnders for Angie Watts' shock return during the show's 40th anniversary celebrations, while Coronation Street veteran David Neilson received the Outstanding Achievement Award presented by Julie Hesmondhalgh, his ex-colleague from the cobbles. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Anita Dobson, an EastEnders icon speaking ahead of receiving the Scene of the Year trophy, commented: "It was just perfect." When asked about the potential of returning to the show, she replied: "I don't think so, although I should say never say never, it would have to be something special." Gillian Taylforth, known for her portrayal of Kathy Beale, expressed her thoughts as well: "It was just brilliant, although none of us knew that she was coming back! We'll need Ange back if anything ever happened to Kathy, not that I want it too."
