A man has been charged after the Guelph Police Service received multiple calls about a suspicious man.
The reports started coming in shortly before 11 a.m. on Thursday. Police were told a man had been spotted in the Waverly Drive and Balmoral Drive area and, according to one resident, he went into his unlocked truck and stole a garage door opener, which he then used to get inside the garage.
When police arrived, they saw the man leaving the garage and approach another house.
Police said the man was also wearing a sweater, hat and blanket stolen from the victim's truck and garage.
A 30-year-old Guelph man was charged with break and enter, possession of stolen property and two counts of breaching probation.
