Where does Belly live in The Summer I Turned Pretty?

Daily Mirror3 days ago
The Summer I Turned Pretty (TSITP) season three is in full swing and its latest episode is already a huge hit with fans.
The Prime Video series, based on Jenny Han's YA trilogy, dives into a heated love triangle between Belly Conklin (Lola Tung) and the Fisher brothers, Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno) and Conrad (Christopher Briney).
So far, the third and final season has followed Jeremiah and Belly as they prepare for a huge step in their four-year relationship: marriage. Meanwhile, Conrad has been silently pining after his brother's fiancé.
Much of the show's drama unfolds in Cousins Beach, a fictional seaside town that Belly's family visits every summer. However, viewers rarely see the Conklins in their hometown, which author and showrunner Han does not specify in the books. But the show drops hints about the Conklins' real residence.
Where do the Conklins live in The Summer I Turned Pretty?
In season one, it was hinted that the Conklins live in Pennsylvania because their family car has a Pennsylvania license plate.
Later in the show, it was confirmed that they live in Philadelphia. During a conversation with his ex-girlfriend Shayla, Belly's brother, Steven (played by Sean Kaufman), revealed that he "grew up in the suburbs of Philly."
Where do the Fishers live?
The Fisher family is confirmed to live in Boston, Massachusetts in the books and the show. They annually travel to Cousins for vacation.
As for Cousins itself, Han drew inspiration for the fictional town from several places across America. "Cousins is inspired by a lot of different beaches," she told TODAY back in 2022.
The author went on to explain that she was inspired by Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts, alongside The Hamptons in Long Island and Nags Head in North Carolina.
She believes the generic beach town is familiar to readers across the globe. "I think it's why these books have really resonated with people all over because. Everybody has like a beach they've been to as a kid, so people like in Sweden or in Vietnam can imagine their own."

The Summer I Turned Pretty's Conrad and why he's perfect for Belly

Reach Screen Time spoke exclusively to one relationship expert about the brooding older Fisher brother WARNING: This article contains spoilers from The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3, episode 5 ‌ The Summer I Turned Pretty fans have been left swooning after the latest episode of the YA Prime Video drama, which was narrated by Conrad Fisher (played by Christopher Briney) and where he opened up his heart to audiences about his feelings for Belly Conklin (Lola Tung), after viewers previously predicted the show's endgame. ‌ The instalment titled Last Dance saw Conrad chivalrously helping Belly with wedding shopping after Jeremiah Fisher (Gavin Casalegno) was stuck in New York for some of the July 4 weekend. ‌ There was also a flashback to Belly and Conrad sharing an intimate moment, which was the last time they were together before he ended their romance. Throughout the episode Conrad expressed his regrets about letting her go and trying to be there for his younger brother after making a deathbed promise to his mother Susannah Fisher (Rachel Blanchard). Many fans are now fiercely debating about which of the Fisher brothers Belly should be with. ‌ In an exclusive interview with Reach Screen Time, relationship coach Gemma Nice addressed Conrad's green flags that makes him the ideal partner for Belly. Nice said Conrad's green flags were 'undeniable' and went on to explain how he remained single after four years since breaking things off with Belly. ‌ Moreover, Conrad 'openly admits that she is the only person he has ever truly loved', while Jeremiah cheated on Belly twice after they'd had an argument about spring break. Nice went on to say: 'Throughout the series, Conrad consistently shows that he listens to her and pays attention to details in ways Jeremiah does not. "In series one, he chose an infinity necklace in silver, Belly's preferred colour, while Jeremiah overlooked this detail with her [engagement] ring. ‌ In series two, during a conversation with Jeremiah in the store, Conrad remembered that she would enjoy sour sweets and prefers this over Swedish Fish which Jeremiah picked up for her, further showing how attentive he is. 'Most recently, in series three, after overhearing her crying, he baked her favourite cakes to comfort her. These moments highlight Conrad's unwavering thoughtfulness." Nice added: "Conrad puts the happiness of the love of his life first. In [a] recent episode, he even agreed to be his brother's best man despite how painful it was for him, because he knew it would make Belly happy after seeing her cry about no one wanting the wedding between her and Jeremiah to go ahead. ‌ 'This contrasts with Jeremiah, who agreed that Belly should not go to Paris, a lifelong dream of hers, because he selfishly wanted her to stay at home." Audiences will have to keep watching to see if Conrad can keep his feelings from Belly or if the truth will eventually come out. If Conrad does share his feelings, it could have huge consequences for Belly and Jeremiah, who are due to walk down the aisle.

"When Mickey does not throw his first fight as agreed, an infuriated Brick Top demands another match." ‌ The synopsis adds: "Meanwhile, gangster Frankie Four Fingers comes to place a bet for a friend with Brick Top's bookies, as multiple criminals converge on a stolen diamond that Frankie has come to London to sell." Prime Video fans have just days to watch 'one of the best teen dramas ever'

One of the most iconic teen dramas is about to be removed from Prime Video. Prime Video fans have just days to watch "one of the best teen dramas ever". Created by Kevin Williamson, Dawson's Creek centred around the lives of a close-knit group of friends in the fictional town of Capeside, Massachusetts. ‌ The series, which began in high school and continued into college, starred James Van Der Beek as Dawson Leery and Katie Holmes as his best friend and love interest, Joey Potter. ‌ Joshua Jackson and Michelle Williams also appeared as Pacey Witter and Jen Lindley, respectively. ‌ Across its six-season run from 1998 to 2003, Dawson's Creek dealt with several hard-hitting topics such as death, homophobia, class differences, heartbreak, mental health and divorce. It also paved the way for a wave of hit American teen dramas, including One Tree Hill, The OC, Gilmore Girls and 90210. ‌ However, Prime Video viewers haven't got long to binge the iconic series, as it is set to leave the streaming platform on Wednesday (August 13). Over 20 years on from its ending, and Dawson's Creek fans are still in love with the show, with many taking to social media to share their praise. "I love Dawson's Creek from beginning to end. It's my favourite guilty pleasure drama series of all time," one person wrote on IMDb. ‌ Another added: "One of the best shows ever from American television. It's an amazing TV drama that always surprises me." A third said: "This show is absolutely timeless. It takes you back to your teens where it seemed like anything was possible. Give it a try if you want to be possibly transported back to another time of your life and most likely your youth." ‌ A fourth fan echoed the sentiment, saying: "Dawson's Creek is the show that made me watch TV again. There isn't a better show on TV." Another similarly shared: "Dawson's Creek is my favourite American teenage drama. It has been replicated but can never be matched." ‌ The news comes after Dawson's Creek fans were recently left excited when former co-stars Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson reunited on the set of a new project. Their characters, Pacey and Joey, notably had an on-off relationship throughout the noughties classic, before ultimately ending up together. The pair are now set to play on-screen lovers in a romantic trilogy titled Happy Hours, which has begun filming in New York City. As well as starring in the films, Katie is also writing and directing, with Dawson's Creek fans eagerly awaiting their release.
