EastEnders fans shocked as unexpected item miraculously survives the fire
Fans of EastEnders have been left taken aback by an item in the Queen Vic that amazingly survived the explosion.
In February, as part of the show's 40th anniversary celebrations, the Queen Vic caught fire and exploded. It put multiple lives in danger, and also led to the deaths of Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman) and Martin Fowler (James Bye).
The boozer was shut for around two months for refurbishments, opening last week on VE Day.
The interior looks very similar to what it did previously, bar a few adjustments and updates. A lot of miscellaneous items though were damaged in the explosion, meaning they had to be replaced.
Amazingly, eagle-eyed fans have noticed one framed photograph survived the ordeal and is now pride of place on the shelf behind the bar. It's the picture of Lola Pearce (Danielle Harold), who died after being diagnosed with a brain tumour.
Taking to social media platform X to share their surprise, some fans of the BBC One soap couldn't help but think it was time for the picture to be taken down.
Others also said the photograph should be replaced with one of Martin, but given how loved Lola was among the Walford residents, it's no surprise the image is still being displayed.
'Bbceastenders replace lola's photo with martin immediately! #EastEnders', one user wrote.
Also expressing their thoughts on the item, this person said: 'They put back Lola's picture in The Vic but I can't see Peggy's'.
The loss of a resident in Albert Square usually prompts the pub to hang a picture up of them. This has been done plenty of times in the past with names including Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) and of course, Peggy Mitchell (Barbara Windsor).

Lola Pearce received her brain tumour diagnosis in 2022, and told her family in March the following year that she only had around six months left to live. More Trending
The storyline focused on Lola as she embraced every single moment she had left with her family.
She married Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick), went to the seaside for her final trip with him, and spent time recording video messages for daughter Lexi (Isabella Brown), that she views at key points in her life, like her birthday.
Lola died in May of 2023, with Lexi and Jay by her side.

Heartbreaking Corrie scenes as Debbie confirms dementia diagnosis to loved ones
Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) has been keeping a huge secret from (most of) her family recently in Coronation Street, after she was diagnosed with dementia. Proud, independent Debbie felt like she didn't want to burden her brother Kevin (Michael Le Vell) with the news, as he's already going through a tough time with cancer treatment. As for her relationship with Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan), Debbie opted to dump him rather than tell him the truth. Debbie's split with Ronnie hasn't been easy for either of them, as they both love each other and had previously decided to get married. Ronnie has been left hurt and confused, while Debbie thinks he's already moved on as she's spotted him a few times in the company of Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson). So far the only person who knows about Debbie's diagnosis is her other brother, Carl (Jonathan Howard) – and he only found out by accident and has been sworn to secrecy by Debbie. But all that is about to change in an episode airing soon, where Debbie takes a sudden turn for the worse and is forced to open up to her family about what's really going on. Debbie and Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove) go to the Chariot Square bar for a few drinks to cheer Debbie up after she admits to Bernie that she's finding it hard to be in the same room as Ronnie. Also in the bar is Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey), and when he causes a fuss by failing to produce ID when asked, Debbie loses it with him. We've seen Debbie becoming irrationally angry before and it's a symptom of her condition, and this time she really loses control and smashes Brody's glass on the bar. The next day Bernie is worried about Debbie because of her behaviour at the bar but also because she forgets to pay at the cafe. She's under pressure because there's been a flood at the hotel and she's facing having to cancel an awards ceremony, but Leanne offers to host the event at Speed Daal. Debbie's grateful for that, but once again she sees Ronnie and Leanne together joking about something, and it bothers her. More Trending Then Debbie suddenly collapses. She wakes up to find Kevin and Abi (Sally Carman) by her side and they tell her she has to go to hospital. Debbie tells them there's no need for that.
