Who is Rebecca Loos? Inside David Beckham affair rumours with Celeb SAS star
Lucy Spraggan, Louie Spence, Adebayo 'The Beast' Akinfenwa, and many more are all set to take on the challenge.
Yet there's one contestant who's sure to draw the audience's eye more than the others. We're talking about Rebecca Loos.
The 48-year-old is, of course, well known for being a former glamour model and a reality TV star.
Yet she first came to attention back in 2004 when she alleged that she'd had a four-month affair with David Beckham while she was working as his personal assistant.
David and Victoria denied the allegationscalling them ludicrous, but that didn't stop the story from propelling Rebecca to international fame. So with that in mind, here's everything you might need to know about the model turned yoga teacher.
Former TV star Rebecca Loos rose to fame after claims she had an affair with David.
The now mum-of-two is a former glamour model who was born in Spain but gained Dutch citizenship through her father, a Dutch diplomat.
Rebecca has previously appeared on the likes of The Farm, Extreme Celebrity Detox, Temptation Island and The X Factor: Battle of the Stars, as well as appearing on the cover of Playboy.
She now lives a very different life, having met her husband, Sven Christjar Skaiaa, while filming 71 Degrees North, as he was a medic on the show.
The pair married in 2012 and went on to have two sons, and now live in Norway, where she works as a yoga teacher.
In 2004, Rebecca claimed she had an affair with David after working as his personal assistant.
She told Sky that he was an 'amazing lover' and that they 'couldn't keep their hands off each other'.
She said, according to reports: 'We were just locked into each other all night, conversation-wise, other people noticed… we just connected.
'I think the chemistry between David and me was so strong… people were aware and they weren't very happy.'
'He knows how to please. He's not afraid of a woman's body. He seems to know what he's doing,' Rebecca added to Kay Burley.
In 2021, Rebecca recalled telling her story to Closer magazine, saying: 'I just felt the need to be truthful.
'Whether you've done something that's right or wrong, it was kind of just eating me up. I was living a lie and keeping secrets.
'Max Clifford [former celebrity agent] said to me he'd negotiate an exclusive with the newspaper and that if I was willing to tell absolutely all the juicy details, then I would get up to five or six hundred thousand pounds. Ridiculous money.'
'People said I was mad. Who was this guy? I hardly knew him, what on earth was I doing? But look at everything I have now, I am so happy. I have no regrets, I am so happy with my life now,' she later told The Daily Mail.
'But many people are so afraid of change. Change is good, change is how you learn, people should just f**king go for it.'
She continued: 'I like the way my life has taken me. If I hadn't been famous, I would not have been invited on the TV show where I met my husband, Sven and had my lovely boys. I would not have had the life I have now.'
Talking about the affair scandal, Rebecca added: 'I took a lot of wrong decisions, and got talked into a lot of things. Of course, if I could go back in time, I might change some things, but wouldn't everyone? I have no regrets.'
David has always denied the scandalous rumours, calling them 'ludicrous'.
In a statement when the allegations first arose, the then 28-year-old said: 'During the past few months, I have become accustomed to reading more and more ludicrous stories about my private life.
'The simple truth is that I am very happily married. I have a wonderful wife and two very special kids. There is nothing any third party can do to change these facts.'
Victoria didn't address the claims at the time, but in a 2007 interview, she said: 'I'm not going to lie. It was a really tough time.
'No one said marriage was going to be easy. Yes, there have been bumps along the road.
'But the fact is we've come out of everything we've been through stronger and happier.'
In later years, David was accused of having affairs with model Sarah Marbeck and beautician Danielle Heath, all of which were denied by statements released on behalf of the Beckhams.
After hitting the headlines, it emerged that Rebecca was actually related to broadcaster Piers Morgan – they're second cousins. More Trending
'I've met him a few times over the years, mostly at showbiz parties, where he'd be like, 'Hi, cuz,' but I've not seen him for years,' she told OK!
When writing about his most shocking personal revelation, former Good Morning Britain presenter Piers told The Independent: 'Two days into the David Beckham/Rebecca Loos scandal, I discovered she was my second cousin. And I had even apparently danced with her at a family wedding in Madrid.'
Hilariously, despite their relation, she refused to sell him the story.
Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins begins tonight on at 9pm on Channel 4.

TV fans baffled as sizzling period drama plays completely in Spanish
Fans of The Gilded Age were left completely baffled after the latest episode aired entirely in Spanish. The Gilded Age is an American period drama from Downton Abbey creator Julian Fellowes and usually airs in English on HBO. However, due to a technical difficulty, fans were treated to a Spanish-dubbed version of the show, which left many struggling to understand what on earth was going on. '@hbomax The Gilded Age is currently only playing in Spanish on my app and I cannot follow what is happening to Señora Russell. Help! Ayuda!' said kpfallon on X. 'Same here, ended up watching it with English subtitles, but it wouldn't let me switch it to English language audio. Kind of like watching a Tele Novella. Ay, caramba!'williamriccijr added. 'Is The Gilded Age in Spanish for everyone or am I having a stroke,' asked NKinRealLife. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Fans worked out that the only way to rectify the issue was to select Spanish for the audio – which, because of the switch-up, would play the audio in English. 'GildedAge tonight defaults to Spanish – go in and choose Spanish and it will play in English,' said 5horizns, a tip that was echoed by a lot of fans. Although many worked out this hack, many didn't and just resigned themselves to watch the entire episode in a language they didn't understand. 'Exactly! Me too – just tweeted the same. However: I watched the damn thing in Spanish,' said sharonwaxman. The series stars Carrie Coon, Morgan Spector, Cynthia Nixon, and Christine Baranski and is set around the boom years of the 1880s in New York City. Carrie stars as one of the main characters, Bertha Russell, and had a hilarious reaction to the Spanish mix-up. '¿A todos les gustó mi acento? GildedAgeHBO #BerthaRussell☺️,' said Carrie on X. This translates to: 'Did everyone like my accent?' As she poked fun at the error. Fans have praised the most recent third season, which kicked off in mid-June and is available for UK viewers on Sky. More Trending The synopsis for the third season reads: 'Bertha sets her sights on a prize that would elevate the family to unimaginable heights while George risks everything on a gambit that could revolutionise the railroad industry — if it doesn't ruin him first.t 'Across the street, the Brook household is thrown into chaos as Agnes refuses to accept Ada's new position as lady of the house. As all of New York hastens toward the future, their ambition may come at the cost of what they truly hold dear.' View More » The Gilded Age season three is available to watch on Sky. Celebrity SAS' Conor Benn considered suicide after drugs ban
Celebrity SAS' Conor Benn considered suicide after drugs ban The boxer's battle to clear his name clearly took a huge toll on his mental health Conor Benn was left distraught amid doping allegations a couple of years ago (Image: Getty Images) Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins is back on our screens for another series this week, with a number of household names set to be pushed to their limit in one of the most gruelling reality shows on the planet. As well as testing the physical and mental endurance of the celebrity line-up, the show also gives viewers a raw and honest glimpse into the personal lives Among those taking part is boxer Conor Benn, who is no stranger to pushing his body to the limit, due to his career in the ring. However, his time in the world of professional boxing has also taken a huge toll on his mental health at times. Back in 2022, weeks after his planned fight with Chris Eubank Jr was cancelled, Benn twice tested positive for women's fertility drug clomifene. He gave up his licence under the threat of a lengthy ban, but fought his case. Article continues below For 24 months Benn protested his innocence to the UK Anti-Doping (Ukad) and the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC), before his provisional suspension was lifted in 2024. The experience clearly caused Benn to spiral, and he candidly revealed it had even caused him to consider taking his own life. "It's hurt me," said Benn in an interview on Piers Morgan: Uncensored. "I didn't think I was going to make it through this period. I didn't think I was going to make it through." Asked if he was talking about taking his own life, Benn replied: "Yeah. Yeah, I'd say so - and it upsets me now because I don't know how I got so bad. I got in a really bad way about it. "I was shamed for something I hadn't even done. It's hard because I felt like I was on death row for something I haven't even done. "If I had done something wrong, I'm human. I'd raise my hands to it, 'I made a mistake', whatever it is, I raise my hands. Never this. "I felt seven years of hard work and sacrifice, and leaving my family and the image I maintain, was just ruined by somebody else's incompetence. It's been hard for the family." When he was eventually "cleared of any wrongdoing" the welterweight reiterated he was always "an advocate for clean sport". "This past 24 months has unquestionably been the toughest fight of my life," Benn wrote in a statement published on X. Article continues below "[It has been} a rollercoaster period within which the WBC had already decided that I was innocent and the NADP decided in the first instance that there was no case to answer and I was free to fight."
