TRNSMT 2026: Who are 23 acts fans think could perform in Glasgow next year?

Scotsmana day ago
It's not even been 24 hours since TRNSMT 2025 saw Snow Patrol close out this year's festival, and yet people are already speculating who 'could' be performing in 2026.
But given that a number of acts are set to release new works within the run-up to next year's event, some of the usual names have been surfacing on social media, while some other names seem a little more plausible, if we're being (brutally) honest.
From the grapevines of TikTok, X, Reddit, and Blue Sky, we've picked out some of our favourite artists that have been suggested, coupled with a look at what upcoming album releases are taking place, to add to the speculation who 'could' perform at TRNSMT 2026 – as we wait for tickets to go on pre-sale hopefully a little later this week.
1 . Lana Del Rey
Known for her dreamy, cinematic pop and captivating stage presence, Lana Del Rey would offer a mesmerising and atmospheric performance at TRNSMT. Her unique aesthetic and rich storytelling through song create an immersive experience that draws audiences into her distinctive world. |for ABA Photo Sales
2 . Lizzo
The multi-talented and utterly infectious Lizzo would bring a tsunami of joy, empowerment, and pure funk to TRNSMT. Her high-energy performance, incredible vocals, and positive message would turn the festival into a full-blown dance party, making her an absolute must-see. | Getty Images Photo Sales
3 . Sky Ferreira
After a long-anticipated wait for new music, Sky Ferreira's return with a fresh album would make her a truly compelling act for TRNSMT 2026. Her unique blend of synth-pop, indie rock, and a darkly atmospheric aesthetic has cultivated a devoted cult following. Expect an enigmatic and fiercely individual performance. | Torben Christensen / Ritzau Scanpix / AFP Photo Sales
4 . A$AP Rocky
A leading figure in modern hip-hop, A$AP Rocky combines cutting-edge style with raw lyrical talent. His performances are known for their slick production and infectious energy, making him a compelling presence on any festival stage. He has a new album, Don't Be Dumb, coming out so perhaps an ideal for of promotion for his new record? | VittorioPhoto Sales

Some long-standing Love Island viewers took to social media as they claimed the couple has gone completely missing from the ITV2 dating show. On social media fan forum site Reddit, one user started a thread which was titled, 'No Screen Time For Non-Toxic Islanders?' The user fumed: "Am I going crazy here? This is the second episode in a row that Billykiss and Boris have had almost zero screen time for the entire episode. "Day before yesterday, they weren't even seen on screen until 47mins in and it was about a 60 second clip of them manifesting on the terrace and yesterday's episode they weren't shown at all until about an hour and 15 minutes in!!!! "And I don't think they even said anything! As part of their discussion, they claimed producers deliberately were not including Billykiss and Boris in the show due to a lack of drama. They continued: "Not having 'much of a storyline' is one thing, but it seems like they just don't want to show an actual normal couple who like each other and are cracking on well. "I'm actually sick of it! It's Love Island not Drama Island. Where is the love??" They added: "I'm so glad the viewers voted to keep Billykiss and Boris in as a compatible couple and can see that they've actually got something cute developing. "I just wish the producers would stop trying to sabotage them by editing them completely out of the show in favour of the toxic waste plant that is the other islander's failed relationships. "I get it, there needs to be drama to keep it interesting but they've literally removed them from the show entirely and it's not right." An additional user seemed to agree as they commented underneath: "They hardly even showed Meg and Dejon last episode and still had no screen time for Billykiss and Boris, they might just be boring." However, a third fan claimed there was simply not enough allocated time to properly show off each pairing. They said: "There are so many couples in there right now, there's absolutely no way to get everything in. "If they excluded these dramas people would be furious here, but there's only so much time." 5 One user claimed producers want to choose dramatic storylines over blossoming relationships Credit: Eroteme 5 A fan even claimed that producers have been 'sabotaging' the couple Credit: Eroteme 5 Viewers say they want to see a happy couple who is happy to crack on Credit: Eroteme Love Island continues on ITV2 and is available to stream on ITVX.

Starbucks' secret menu is now official, and you could win $25,000 for submitting your own creation

Secret menus—unofficial, creative combinations of standard menu options—have been a thing at many chains over the years, including Starbucks. Most remain secret, but Starbucks just pulled back the curtain by officially adding four "secret" drinks to their menu. Plus, they've launched a contest to find the next big drink and you could win big. Starting today, Starbucks is putting its most talked-about drink hacks front and center in the Starbucks app. The legendary 'secret menu' that's fueled Reddit threads and fan sites with the likes of Butterbeer Frappuccinos and Thin Mint Cold Brews is now officially endorsed. Rewards members can tap the "offers" tab in the app and find the first four creations, each already customized and ready to order with a single click. Here's what's in the inaugural lineup: Cookies on Top: Cold Brew with two pumps of vanilla syrup, Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Foam and a cookie crumble topping Lemon, Tea & Pearls: Black tea and lemonade with raspberry popping pearls Just Add White Mocha: Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso upgraded with White Chocolate Mocha Sauce and Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Foam The move is inspired by Starbucks' Not-So-Secret Menu broadcast channel on Instagram, where creative mashups have been shared for months. Now, these viral drinks can finally be ordered easily, without awkwardly reciting the recipe at the counter. But Starbucks isn't stopping there. To celebrate, they're launching a contest to find their next big drink. From now through July 20, submit your dream drink customization via the secret menu contest page. Four finalists will snag $5,000 and see their drink featured in the app from August 18–25. The drink with the most fan votes on Starbucks' Instagram wins an extra $25,000.
