Premier League new kits 2025-26: every home and away shirt ranked

Telegraph4 days ago
It is the end of an era in the exciting world of Premier League football kits. It has been 23 years since Fulham ditched Pizza Hut for Betfair.com as their shirt sponsor, the first time a betting company appeared on the front of a top flight-kit. What a time we have had since.
Everton's shirts adorned with the logo of Curaçao's favourite online gambling destination, which also appears on seemingly every viral video of street fights. Palace and Wolves' unforgettable ManBetX eras. Southampton having to chuck away shirts with a Chinese bookies' logo on the front after being unable to 'secure confirmation that LD Sports are still an appropriate and viable partner for the club.'
All of this will be lost after this season, the last before Premier League's self-imposed ban on front-of-shirt gambling ads begins. This was decided in April 2023, but you cannot rush these things. In any case we still have one more year to enjoy all our old favourites, 11 of the 20 clubs wring the last bit of revenue from the betting industry's well-used flannel this season.
This year's kit trends report includes a surprise comeback for pastel shades, the continued rise of the stylised stripe and further isolated experiments with centralised team emblems. There are few big swings for the fences and therefore fewer outright disasters. Here is who is responsible:

Chapman will begin his tenure on Saturday, and we examine his life beyond television, including his footballing allegiances and salary details. Mark Chapman's Gary Lineker quip Whilst Saturday marks Chapman's debut as permanent presenter, according to PA, with colleague Logan handling the Sunday programme, he is well-versed in fronting MOTD, reports the Mirror. Article continues below Chapman quipped about his upcoming role in January (Image: BBC) The 51-year-old began the show alongside Micah Richards and Alan Shearer with a clever reference to his forthcoming position, stating: "Evening, thought I'd get the practice in..." His co-stars couldn't help but chuckle at the admission, with Shearer exclaiming: "You haven't wasted any time, have you? Six months too early!" Chapman retorted: "It's going to be a long night, eh?" ‌ What football club does Mark Chapman support? Former presenter Lineker made no secret of his devotion to childhood team Leicester City, where he launched his playing career. He turned out more than 200 times for the Foxes between 1978 and 1985. Chapman is a Red Devils fan (Image: Getty) ‌ Hailing from Rochdale, Chapman revealed to the iPaper in 2018: "It's not my fault that I support a big team! I had to put up with a lot of poor, if at least entertaining, stuff in the 1980s. I am a genuine Manchester United fan." Following the Red Devils' challenging 15th-placed Premier League campaign last season, featuring some woeful performances, Chapman revealed during a 2025 Catchphrase appearance: "By the time we go on air, I've had enough time to stop being a sore loser. So by then I'm fairly impartial." How much does Mark Chapman earn? Lineker was famous for being amongst the BBC's most handsomely remunerated employees throughout his tenure with the broadcaster. Reports suggested he earned approximately £1.35million last year prior to his departure. ‌ Hosting duties will rotate between Chapman, Cates and Logan (Image: BBC/Charlie Clift) Colleague Shearer was also a top earner last year with a reported salary of £440,000, though Chapman earns considerably less than the two former England strikers. Throughout the 2021/22 season, Chapman earned roughly £250k, and this salary was subsequently boosted the following campaign to around £325k. Article continues below During the 2023/24 season, Chapman took home somewhere in the region of £260k for his coverage on Radio 5 Live, MOTD 2, the Challenge Cup, the Euros and Olympic Games.

Antoine Semenyo praised for his reaction as Bournemouth express anger over racist abuse

Antoine Semenyo went on to score two excellent counter-attacking goals in the second half for Bournemouth after allegedly being subjected to racist abuse on the sidelines Bournemouth have expressed their shock and anger that the opening match of the Premier League season was overshadowed by an incident of alleged racist abuse towards Antoine Semenyo. ‌ The match between the Cherries and Liverpool on Friday night at Anfield was halted in the first half after Semenyo reported that a supporter had said something to him while he was preparing to take a throw-in. Liverpool later released a statement condemning the alleged actions while confirming that the police are now investigating. ‌ Arne Slot's side went on to win the game 4-2 with late goals from Federico Chiesa and Mohamed Salah. But Semenyo produced a remarkable performance in the second half, scoring twice to drag the away side back into the game. ‌ The Bournemouth winger kept his composure to tuck in David Brooks' cross for 2-1 before charging forwards on another counter-attack to find the bottom corner for 2-2. While full of admiration for his team-mate, captain Adam Smith expressed fury at full-time. "Totally unacceptable. Kind of in shock it happened in this day and age. I don't know how Ant has carried on playing and come up with his goals," Smith told Sky Sports. "He's a little bit down. Something needs to be done. Taking a knee has taken no effect. We've supported him and hopefully he'll be OK. I wanted him to react [after scoring], that's what I'd have done. I'd have gone straight over there. It shows what kind of man he is to report it to the ref and carry on. Fair play to Ant. "It's more anger. Shocked. I said to the ref I wanted him removed immediately but the police went and sorted it. The Liverpool players were very supportive to Ant and the rest of the team. Just so angry. "We've had discussions with the Premier League about it so they have been taking it seriously. I don't know what else we can do. We've been doing it for a long time now and no-one is getting it. I just feel sorry for Ant and he's had to take that. The whole country is watching and it's shocking." ‌ Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola added: "The referee explained to both managers straight away the situation. It is a big shame we have to start talking about these things. "The Liverpool manager and the players they feel it the same. Everyone understands that these things have to be out of everywhere but especially football. "Now we have to go again to talk to the police and the officials. I think for sure he (Semenyo) will have it in his head [now] and it shouldn't be like this." ‌ Kick it Out said in a statement: "Thirty minutes into the first Premier League game of the season, and Bournemouth 's Antoine Semenyo is racially abused by someone in the crowd. "Two nights ago, Tottenham 's Mathys Tel was racially abused online. This is a stark reminder of an ugly reality: black players are facing this every week. "We stand in solidarity with Antoine and can't praise him enough for his courage in calling this out after such a distressing episode before going on to score twice. "Anthony Taylor and his refereeing team also deserve credit for acting swiftly and decisively. We will keep pushing to kick this disgusting behaviour out of the game through punishments, accountability and education, but football still has a long way to go."
