Lily James hits back at Instagram moderators after her racy nude celebration is removed for breaching community guidelines
The British actress has been on location in the Canadian wilderness while filming Harmonia, a forthcoming thriller from director Guy Nattiv.
James, 36, caught the eye of Instagram moderators after sharing an array of photos from the shoot, including one in which she and her co-stars appear to be completely naked.
The blurred shot captures James and five unidentified fellow actresses holding hands as they form a tight circle and gaze up at the sky, as if in worship.
Scheduled for release in 2026, Harmonia is inspired by the real life experiences of Nattiv's own grandmother and her connection to a bizarre cult in the 1980s.
The new film also features Carrie Coon, formerly of The White Lotus, The Last Of Us star Bella Ramsey, and Odessa Young, who also features alongside Jeremy Allen White in forthcoming Bruce Springsteen biopic Deliver Me From Nowhere.

But James' apparent celebration of the shoot was cut short by Instagram, who removed the post in accordance with community guidelines regarding online nudity.
Evidently unhappy with the decision, she later posted: 'Instagram you deleted my last post … why…'
Instagram is yet to respond publicly, and the post remains notably absent from her social media platform.
Harmonia marks a productive period for the former Downton Abbey star, who has multiple projects in the pipeline over the coming year.
The actress will also star in a rebooted version of Sylvester Stallone's 1993 blockbuster Cliffhanger, playing Naomi, the eldest daughter of seasoned mountaineer Ray Cooper, played by Pierce Brosnan.
The legendary actor, 71, recently shared a behind-the-scenes photo of himself alongside the actress after completing work on the film.
Sharing the snap with Instagram followers, he wrote: 'Dear Lily, thank you and Jaume Collette Serra (director) for inviting me to come play with y'll in the mountains of Austria and the fair city of beautiful Munich.'
He added: 'I had a blast, am gonna miss ya. I wish you et al every joy of success with your production of Cliffhanger. Mighty work

The father-daughter duo, Naomi and Ray 'run a mountain chalet in the Dolomites. During a weekend trip with a billionaire's son, they are targeted by a gang of kidnappers,' an official synopsis reads.
James will also voice characters in two new animated features - LoliRock: The Movie and The Angry Birds 3.
Additionally, she is expected to take a starring role in Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo, a standalone sequel director Abel Ferrera's hard-hitting 1992 thriller.

Now a new documentary from Louis Theroux 's production company Mindhouse will re-examine the bizarre tale. 9 9 9 Alien Autopsy attempts to answer the question: was it a total hoax or based on a genuine occurrence? While the 18-minute 1995 film was found to have been made in a flat in Camden, North London, many are still convinced it is not only based on an actual alien autopsy, but includes images from a 1947 film. These appeared to show three officials in hazmat suits dissecting the corpse of an alien recovered from a crash-site near Roswell, New Mexico. The new documentary's director John Dower said: 'With its makers describing it as 'a restoration' it is still possible that it's based on original frames from an existing post-war film. GANGS BACK ON PROWL GANGS Of London has been given the green light for a fourth series. Sky only announced series two of the show last month. LAW WAR LOOMING FOR DOM 9 SKY has unveiled a huge new legal thriller starring Dominic West and Sienna Miller. War is set in the elite world of London law and is already so well thought of that two series have been ordered all at once. The team behind the show say it will launch with a legal wrangle that 'sends shockwaves through boardrooms, bedrooms and courtrooms alike.' War follows two of the capital's most prestigious rival firms – Cathcarts and Taylor & Byrne – as they go head to head in the divorce case of the century. The show comes from top creator George Kay who also gave us Apple TV+ thriller Hijack with Idris Elba, and the global hit Lupin, on Netflix. Similarly, War will air around the globe, but only on Sky here in the UK. TODAY'S line-up at the Edinburgh TV Festival will be the highlight of the four-day event, featuring interviews with the big bosses from Sky, ITV and the BBC. Plus there will be the announcement of the festival's annual awards, hosted by comedian Nick Mohammed.

She explained that when her daughter, Vale, 11, got her own iCloud account, she even drafted a contract for her to sign. Jenna then admitted that Savannah had sent her the contract so that she could use it as well. 'It was basically like, "I know that mommy and daddy love me more than anything in the world. I know that mommy and daddy can read my texts. I know I will not put in a text anything I wouldn't want grandma and grandpa to see, that I wouldn't want to see on the front page of The New York Times, blah, blah, blah,"' Savannah said of the contract. The journalist explained that her daughter understands that her mom is able to look at her text messages - but she admitted it's not something she does very often. 'I trust her,' Savannah added.
