Race Across the World star Sioned Cray has shared some honest insight into how she feels about her fellow contestants upon her return to Wales. The popular BBC show came to a tense conclusion last week, with mother-and-son team Caroline and Tom Bridge coming in first place and scooping the £20,000 prize.
Sioned, 20, joined the show alongside her partner, Fin, with the couple being the youngest participants to take part in the hit travel competition. The BBC star confessed 'coming home to Wales was a bit of a shock to the system', while Fin said he 'missed everything about the race', especially the 'suspense of not knowing where you're going to go next'.

The young couple finished in third place.

As the show has come to its gripping conclusion, instead of a nail-biting racing episode, this week's final instalment offered viewers a reunion among the players, with each duo reflecting on their experiences.
For all the competing teams, many parts of the race proved to be difficult and emotionally taxing - and this was no different for Sioned and Fin.
During the reunion episode, Sioned revealed there were times she didn't think she'd be able to carry on. She said: 'I think there were many times in India where I thought, 'I can't do this, I need to go home, not want to but I need to because this is too much'.

'But, I'm really glad I just stuck it out because experiencing it has been really valuable.'
In another update, posted on Instagram, Sioned offered further insight into her thoughts on her Race Across the World experience, as well as behind the scenes insight after reuniting with her fellow contestants
Sioned described them all as being 'bonded for life'.

She shared a carousel of images and penned: 'We had the sweetest reunion! We are genuinely bonded for life and like a little extra family. Who knew Race Across The World would result in SO MANY positives!?
'Not only positives for myself and my own journey, but positives for mine and Fin's relationship, positives in regards to sharing memories with strangers who have ultimately became our best friends and also positives when [it] comes to all of you watching!?'

She then went on to thank viewers for all the 'kind messages' they 'received along the way', as well as the many 'kind words' that have been said to the couple 'in public'.
Sioned branded the response as 'insane' while praising the 'whole process' of taking part in Race Across the World as 'so rewarding and so valuable'.
The 20-year-old highlighted how important it was for her to have potentially helped many people who, like her, 'struggle with confidence' which may have stopped them from 'reaching goals or achieving things you desperately want to'.

Fin was open about his Type 1 diabetes throughout their journey, and the couple were glad to have raised awareness of the condition.
In the comments section, people shared their thoughts. One person declared: 'I love this program but what a great group you clearly are.
'A life changing experience for everyone one of you. You are all winners. The producers of this show really chose well.'

Strictly star Alex Kingston's heartbreak before finding love with TV presenter

Strictly star Alex Kingston's heartbreak before finding love with TV presenter The Doctor Who actress has been announced as one of the stars taking part in Strictly Come Dancing 2025. Strictly Come Dancing contestant Alex Kingston endured a turbulent romantic history before discovering happiness with her current husband. ‌ The Doctor Who star, 62, has joined the upcoming series of the popular BBC dancing show as she gets ready to showcase her moves on the ballroom floor. ‌ She won over Doctor Who enthusiasts after securing the part of River Song, with her character featuring during David Tennant, Matt Smith and Peter Capaldi's tenures on the science fiction programme. ‌ Her television work has included appearances in American medical series ER, costume dramas The Fortunes and Misfortunes of Moll Flanders, Arrow and A Discovery of Witches. Alex Kingston is getting ready to put her dancing shoes on (Image: BBC) Alex has been open about her enthusiasm for Strictly, revealing in 2019: "Sarah Hadland and I talked about how much we'd like to do Strictly Come Dancing. Then I discovered she's a trained ballet dancer. 'Hang on a minute! That's not fair!' So, I can't do it on a season when she is on it!" ‌ Beyond her screen work, Alex has experienced considerable romantic disappointment. She first met Oscar-nominated performer Ralph Fiennes at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in 1983. The pair married ten years later, though their relationship ended catastrophically when Ralph became involved with a woman 18 years his senior. Alex previously reflected: "We were like strangers – very fragile," reports the Mirror. ‌ "His mother was dying and somehow we thought the wedding was going to heal everything. But that was crazy, of course." Ralph Fiennes and Alex met in the 80s (Image: Ron Galella Collection via Getty Images) In 1995, Ralph starred in Hamlet at Hackney Empire opposite Francesca Annis-who played Gertrude, his character's mother. ‌ Despite the age gap, their affair led to him leaving Alex and confessing his love for Francesca. Ralph, aged 32 at the time, embarked on a romance with Francesca, then 50. Francesca, who has three kids with photographer Patrick Wiseman, reportedly left him for the actor. ‌ Alex revealed the depth of her emotional struggle post-divorce to the Daily Mail, saying: "I was feeling worthless, that I would never find anyone else as good as my husband, which is ridiculous, but I had so little self-esteem. "Divorce is awful but it is also something I don't regret happening to me because it has shaped who I am now." Their relationship came to an end after an affair (Image: NY Daily News via Getty Images) ‌ Ralph and Francesca dated for 10 years between 1997 and 2006 and hit back at age gap concerns. "Of course I don't spend days agonising over the age difference. How can I? There is nothing I can do about it," she once said. "Ralph and I have been together ten years now so, whatever happens, we have had a very good, different relationship and an interesting time." ‌ Their relationship crumbled following explosive claims of infidelity when Romanian singer Corneila Crisan alleged she had conducted a two-year affair with Ralph. Alex has suffered her fair share of heartbreak (Image:for Pragnell) The following day, Ralph and Francesca announced their separation, stating: "Miss Annis confirms today that she and Ralph Fiennes are to separate." ‌ Ralph's affair had a devastating impact on Alex, who confessed to contemplating suicide. She later married German writer Florian Haertel and they welcomed a daughter, Salome, in 2001. However, the couple separated in 2009 and finalised their divorce four years later. Fortunately, Alex has found love again and is now married to TV presenter Jonathan Stamp, with the couple tying the knot in Italy in 2015. He previously dated presenter Hayley Palmer from 2023 until splitting in 2024. Speaking to the Daily Mail , the 44-year-old gave her verdict on her Mark's search for new love. Although wishing her ex well, Hayley said she did not intend on watching him in the E4 show. She added: "A year later, I've been able to turn past trauma into something positive. "I feel like I've done a lot of glowing up. I am in a really strong, happy place. Feeling very grounded." Mark and Hayley confirmed their split in May 2024, just days after their one-year anniversary. Taking to Instagram at the time, Hayley wrote in her Story: 'It is with regret I announce that myself and Mark have gone our separate ways. "We had the best year together and I truly wish him all the best for the future." The Sun later told how Mark took a swipe at his ex, saying he would only consider divorcing estranged wife Katie if he met someone serious. EXCL The Chase's Mark Labbett reveals he was forced to quit date after shock health scare Mark married Katie - who is also his second cousin - in 2014 and they separated in 2020. The former couple also welcomed a son during their marriage. He said: 'It will happen if either Katie or I get with someone serious — then it might obviously be a different matter.' Mark spoke out after Hayley told The Sun a month earlier that his break-up with her a week after their one-year anniversary left her 'completely crushed'. She said at the time: 'The whole thing was traumatic, and it's been a journey to heal from it. He was truly beastly.' But Mark feels relieved, explaining: 'I'm just quite content being on my own. 'Facts are easy. Numbers are easy. People are complicated. 'I could sum me up as the kind of guy who could tell you the capital of Estonia is Tallinn but would have no idea why that pretty girl is giving me a funny half-smile. 'That's why I never played poker seriously, because I realised I can't read people.' Mark Labbett and Hayley Palmer relationship timeline May 16, 2023 - The pair went on their first date to a Toby Carvery in Southsea, Portsmouth. December 24, 2023 - The couple decided to record a podcast together after being in a relationship for several months. They planned to cover everything from Mark wooing Hayley with his Toby Carvery card to dating in the public eye, shopping trips, their big rule of not sharing chips and hilarious inside jokes. May 25, 2024 - Mark broke up with Hayley over the phone, saying he wasn't ready to finalise his divorce with his ex wife Katie. Meanwhile, Hayley later fired back at these comments. Taking to Instagram, she told fans: 'I think it's a shame that someone could say something so heartless over a relationship that lasted over a year. "I have moved on and working to be the best version of myself. "I think what is actually serious is Mental Health and we should all be working together towards a caring Christmas. X."
