Billy Flynn Received ‘Blessing' From This Y&R Star
In March, Flynn sent shockwaves across the soap community when he announced his Days exit and joined Y&R. The actor, who plays Chad DiMera on the Peacock drama took a big risk with the career move. But it's one he felt needed to be done.
In a new interview with TV Guide Magazine, Flynn opened up about the decision to leave Days. 'I felt like my version of Chad had run its course. It wasn't for money. I wanted to feel excited again about the work, and I wanted to work with different people and learn more,' he explained.
Just as Flynn made the decision to leave Days, Y&R approached him with an offer. The actor was excited about his new role, yet also nervous, especially his first scenes with co-star Eric Braeden.
While working with a legendary actor like Braeden can be intimidating, Flynn had a wonderful experience with his co-star.
'We got along from the jump. He's just super kind and sweet to me. I felt like he gave me the blessing, and that made me feel good.'
With a new role and new co-stars, Flynn has reignited his creative spark. The actor will have the soap community buzzing with his debut during the week of June 16th. While speculation is that Flynn is playing Aristotle Dumas, his role remains a secret.
Fans will have to wait and see who Flynn's character will be, and what drama he'll bring to Genoa City.

With the rift machine destroyed in Devil May Cry season one, thanks to Dante (Johnny Yong Bosch), the demon hunter's down-on-his-luck fate appeared to be turning around after being humanity's salvation. The trailer shows the long-coated and dramatic exchange comes to a clash of weapons of blood versus blood. As their brotherhood stands diametrically opposed as foes, the story from the Capcom game you thought you knew might be reimagined in a new thrilling way when it returns in 2026. At least that's Shankar's hope, as he recently told Deadline, 'I approached this as a new continuity. So, it's not a remake, it's not a rehash, but in some ways it's closer to a retelling. And that's the thing I do across all my stuff. If you watch even the short films on YouTube, it's always like there's the IP and then there's the Adi Shankar spin on the IP. I wanted my show to feel like Devil May Cry, to take the spirit of DMC, but I thought of it as like Marvel's Ultimate Universe, or even X-Men: The Animated Series, like reinterpretations that preserve the emotional core while restructuring the mythology to suit a new medium. Essentially the foundation remains, but the scaffolding has been rebuilt to support long-form storytelling in a serialized, animated format for streaming television.' Shankar continued, 'It's a new universe, but it is one constructed from a complete obsessive understanding of canon, right? Both the public-facing story and the deeper internal mythology that's only known to Capcom, because you get access to all of that and just kind of absorb it even more. And you become even more of a super fan because you've gotten to peek behind the curtain. So, then, my job as creator-showrunner is franchise architect for the DMC universe on Netflix. It's to essentially take the full spectrum of knowledge and build something that respects the past while unlocking new narrative possibilities.' Netflix Anime Hits Anime NYC: 'Blue Eye Samurai,' 'Splinter Cell: Deathwatch' and More
Netflix's panel at this year's Anime NYC convention brought on a string of announcements and sneak peeks at its upcoming anime slate, including drops for the new season of the Emmy-award-winning series, Blue Eye Samurai. But you didn't have to be there in person to see everything revealed. The streamer just debuted trailers and visuals for existing hits Sakamoto Days, Devil May Cry and Record of Ragnarok along with the release date and teaser for its new entry: Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Deathwatch. Old Dominion plays Minnesota State Fair ahead of latest album release
The sights and sounds of country band Old Dominion lit up the Grandstand at the Minnesota State Fair on Thursday, and WCCO got to sit down with the band hours before they took the stage. "They should expect to see a band very joyous and happy to be playing up there. It's a big night for us," said Trevor Rosen. It's a big night for a big album release. Their latest album, "Barbara," drops on Friday. "It took a lot of writing. A lot of writing and soul searching," they said about the new record. "Initially, it was to entertain ourselves. We thought it would be really fun to name the album off of a person's name. I don't think we realized it would take off like it has." Fans at their activation booth were psyched. "Super psyched. I've seen Old Dominion like six times," said Jill Waldmann, who flew from New York for the show. And it's not Old Dominion's first time at the Great Minnesota Get-Together. "I remember playing at the free stage before," said Matthew Ramsey. "Carrie Underwood was playing [the Grandstand]... I think there was a bluegrass band that played before us." Now that they have superfans like Carrie Underwood. "Thank you for giving us this life," Rosen said. "We always want people to take what they need. Once we put music out, it's theirs, not our's anymore," Ramsey said.
