PSL Awards: Kaizer Chiefs represented after years of absence
On Tuesday, the PSL honoured those who were head and shoulders above the rest last season in different categories.
And with Chiefs winning the Nedbank Cup to end their 10-year trophy drought, three of their players made were nominated.
Gaston Sirino, Inacio Miguel and Pule Mmodi were all nominated for the Nedbank Cup Player of the Tournament award.
On the day of the awards, Mmodi was named the best player for the tournament, beating his fellow teammates to the award.
This was the first time in almost a decade that a Chiefs player gets to be honoured by the league at its end-of-season awards.

SA ‘champions' beat Aussies in last-ball thriller to qualify for legends final
The South Africans will now face Pakistan in the final in Birmingham. AB de Villiers and his South African 'champions' cricket team will play in the World Championship of Legends final after edging Australia by one run in their semi-final in Birmingham, England on Thursday. Australia were then reduced to 185 in their 20 overs, De Villiers and Wayne Parnell exacting a run-out on the last ball of the innings, leaving the Aussies one run short of tying with the South Africans. The best batters for Australia were Shaun March (25 off17), Chris Lynn (35 off 20), Darcy Short (33 off 29) and Dan Christian (49 off 29). The best SA bowlers were Hardus Viljoen (2/41 in four) and Parnell (2/33 in four). Former Sundowns defensive flop joins Liverpool on loan

Suarez recently left Sundowns after they decided against making his loan stay permanent at the end of the season. The left-footed centre-back had joined Sundowns from Argentine outfit CA Talleres at the start of the year. Lefties reign supreme at CSA Awards with Nonkululeko Mlaba and Keshav Maharaj crowned

The Proteas Women's star scooped four prestigious prizes after being crowned SA Women's Player of the Year, Women's Players Player of the Year, T20 Player of the Year and Women's Best Delivery Fuelled by KFC. Mlaba, who is nicknamed Lefty, was consistent across all formats, starring with the ball in Proteas' solitary Test match, claiming a maiden 10-wicket haul, while she also bagged 15 ODI wickets at an average of 22, and a further 16 T20I wickets at 18.62. Mlaba broke the record for the most wickets by a South African at the ICC Women's T20 World Cup. Fellow left-arm spinner Keshav Maharaj was once again overcome with emotion when he was named Cricket SA's Men's Player of the Year for the second time in three seasons.
