Love Island fans slam Harrison's ‘scripted' apology as he reunites with Lauren on Aftersun after quitting villa
LOVE Island fans have slammed Harrison Solomon's apology on tonight's spin-off show Aftersun after he reunited with Lauren Wood. Harrison quit the villa on Friday in shock scenes just 24 hours after Lauren was dumped from the show. 4 4 4 It followed his love triangle with her and Toni Laites, which drew criticism from charity Women's Aid. Aftersun host Maya Jama grilled Harrison over his behaviour in the villa after viewers watched him swap between the two girls with little consideration for their feelings. He even pleaded with Toni to pick him in a recoupling hours after having sex with Lauren. When Toni did choose him, Lauren was left in floods of tears and felt humiliated. Speaking tonight, Harrison said the point his romancing both girls had gone too far was after he'd slept with Lauren. "I think maybe when we did bits," he said. "Probably took it a little bit too far talking to Toni after that. "I obviously regret that massively and I apologise to both the girls but, yeah, it wasn't good for me." He then said if he had his time again he would have had up front conversations with Toni and Lauren earlier to save them getting upset. It followed his return to social medi a earlier in the day in which he said: "Back on home turf and carrying every lesson with me. What a whirlwind, confusing, raw, beautiful in parts, and deeply humbling. I entered with the intention not to hurt anyone. "Truthfully, although I didn't manage that, I leave with a heart more open, and a soul willing to learn. Life isn't always easy, it's felt, it's flawed, it's full of growth. Thank you to those who saw the good in me even when I struggled to see it myself. This is just the beginning," Love Island fans stunned as girl is brutally dumped after arrival of latest bombshell Angel But viewers weren't buying his latest apology, with one writing on X: "Harrison has CLEARLY wrote a speech and memorised it this is not genuine." Another said: "Harrison has gotten away with what he's done way too easily." A third posted: "Harrison's not sorry for sh*t." A fourth said: "Is anyone buying this with Harrison?" "Im glad no one clapped at Harrison's poor excuse of an apology." Prior to his villa exit, Women's Aid responded to the difficult scenes in the villa, criticising the ITV reality show for perpetuating misogyny and sexism. Jessye Werner, Communications Manager at the charity, acknowledged the efforts production companies have made to highlight toxic behaviours but stressed that more progress is necessary. She told The Tab: "Despite these positive steps, we still see unhealthy patterns of behaviour on these shows, showing just how steeped in misogyny and sexism our society still is. 'Women are often lied to, slut-shamed and manipulated, as well as laughed at behind their backs. Misogyny and sexism lay the foundation for the tolerance of abuse and violence – it reinforces a culture that excuses and trivialises violence against women and girls. 'More must be done to educate contestants on sexism and misogyny, and it is a great credit to viewers who take to social media, continuing to call out these behaviours as soon as they see them.' Amanda Holden brands herself 'new Kris Jenner' as daughters' career move revealed
Amanda Holden admitted feeling like she is following in iconic momager Kris Jenner's footsteps as her two teenage daughters have been cast to walk in London Fashion Week Amanda Holden admitted to feeling like she is the UK's answer to Kris Jenner after both her daughter's landed jobs walking the catwalk at London Fashion popular TV and Radio presenter joked about her prowess as a 'momager' after confirming that Lexi, 19, who is signed to Storm Model Management will be joined at the lavish fashion bash by her younger sister Hollie, 13. Amanda, 54, is proud to admit that both of her daughters are already following in her showbiz footsteps. Speaking about their blossoming modelling careers as nepo babies she said, "Lexi's good, she's sort of dipped her toe in and she's done a couple of photoshoots. "She is loving university as well but what she doesn't like doing is taking time off, so I think she'll work it out but it's something she's enjoying. She's doing London Fashion Week again in September and we've actually just heard that Hollie is going to be doing it as well." Amanda continued to the Daily Mail, "It's definitely something I think Hollie is going to enjoy she's going to die when I tell her she's doing London Fashion Week this year. I literally just heard she got it and she's gone for the week with my mum in Cornwall so I'll have to ring her after." She then joked about her role in their success emulating Kris's role as manager of her hugely successful daughters adding, "With both girls doing it, I do feel like Kris Jenner now. We need our own reality show. Oh my god, yeah here we go, I could see that." However, while Amanda may have hopes of a family reality TV show, it seems that not everyone would be happy to take part. While they have the celebrity friends to make it interesting - including Simon Cowell's son Eric and Alesha Dixon's daughter Azura - Amanda admits that Amanda's Lexi "wouldn't want to be on camera." She shared, "But one of my daughters would do [a TV show] but Lexi wouldn't want to be on camera, that's irony, whereas Hollie would, definitely." She also confirmed that Hollie loves TV so much she enjoys coming to work with her when she is filming Britain's Got Talent, where they "put her to work" as a runner and causes "mayhem" with Simon's son Eric. Amanda said, "She loves coming with me to Britain's Got Talent, she makes Simon his ginger tea, she likes to be a little runner, so when she comes, they put her to work. "She likes the crew hoodie, the snacks, she delivers snacks to the desk, goes around with Eric, creating absolute mayhem behind the scenes, god knows what they get up to anyway. "She doesn't watch any of the show though, although she did when she decided to press the golden buzzer anyway. She didn't get a slap on the wrist because Eric was with her, so that's all good."
