Egypt Sets November 1 as Official Opening Date for the Grand Egyptian Museum

Ali abo deshish Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly has officially announced that the Grand Egyptian Museum will be inaugurated on November 1. During the weekly Cabinet meeting held at the government headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, the Prime Minister directed all ministries and relevant bodies to continue finalizing the preparations for this historic event. These include technical and organizational arrangements for both the museum and the surrounding area to ensure the opening ceremony reflects Egypt's cultural prestige and accommodates visiting delegations and guests appropriately. The date was approved by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. Dr. Madbouly highlighted that the inauguration will welcome a large number of official figures from various countries and will feature a series of cultural and tourism-related events. These celebrations aim to underscore the museum's significance as a global cultural destination that showcases the richness and continuity of Egyptian civilization through the ages. Earlier, Dr. Madbouly had announced that the official opening of the museum had been postponed to the last quarter of 2025, after initially being scheduled for July 3. According to a statement from the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the delay was due to regional developments, with a new date to be determined in coordination with all stakeholders to ensure the event meets international standards and reflects Egypt's cultural and touristic stature. The ministry emphasized that the decision reflects Egypt's national responsibility and its commitment to presenting the event in a way that honors its ancient heritage and attracts global attention. Meanwhile, the museum continues to welcome visitors as part of its soft opening phase until the official inauguration takes place. Back in February, the Prime Minister had announced President El-Sisi's approval for the July 3 opening, with planned festivities to extend over several days. At that time, Madbouly had emphasized ongoing coordination between various ministries to ensure the event would serve as a powerful promotional platform for Egypt and its recent achievements. read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Arts & Culture Lebanese Media: Fayrouz Collapses after Death of Ziad Rahbani Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results
