Jesy Nelson admits being in 'constant state of fear' during tough pregnancy with twins
Former Little Mix star Jesy Nelson has opened up about the rare health condition that left her in "a constant state of fear" during her pregnancy with twin girls Ocean and Story. Back in May, Jesy gave birth to twin girls, naming them Ocean Jade Nelson-Foster and Story Monroe Nelson-Foster.
Speaking in her first live interview with This Morning, Jesy, who shares her twins with Zion Foster, opened up about learning that her twin girls had twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome - a rare condition that threatened their lives before they were born.
"I couldn't believe the percentages and what could potentially happen to them. I almost felt from that point I couldn't really enjoy my pregnancy because I was constantly worried that something would happen," she said. "I could only take it two weeks at a time."
Opening up about the symptoms, she said: "There were symptoms to look out for - if your belly gets really tight like a drum, if you're struggling with your breathing.
"We went to the park and I couldn't even walk because I was so out of breath." However, she added that she often couldn't tell the difference between signs of the condition and what was normal for a pregnancy with twins.
She added that she was in a "constant state of fear" due to the twins' condition.
Thankfully, Jesy delivered the baby girls in May, announcing the news on Instagram. Jesy said: "So… Our beautiful baby girls decided to come at 31weeks plus 5 days. It all happened so quickly, but we are so blessed that they are here with us, healthy and fighting strong! We've never felt more in love. Everybody meet Ocean Jade Nelson-Foster and Story Monroe Nelson-Foster. Born on 15.05.2025."
The first-time mum had lived in hospital for ten weeks before the birth, after their daughters developed twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome in the womb. The rare condition could have been fatal for both babies so the couple planned for Jesy's labour to be induced once the twins were deemed strong enough around the 32 week stage.
In the months leading up to Ocean and Story's birth, Jesy documented her difficult and emotional pregnancy for fans. She required emergency surgery in April after the twin-to-twin transfusion diagnosis, with Jesy telling fans at the time: "We feel so grateful and blessed that these little babies are still going strong."
Jesy and Zion began dating back in November 2022, with the musician running the London Marathon in May to raise money for the Twins Trust - a charity which offers support for families with twins.
Speaking to The Mirror at the time, Zion said of the twins: 'They're giving us so much hope they're going to come out healthy. Jesy and the twins have come through so much. There were so many times in this pregnancy we didn't think we'd get to where we are now.
"Their strength has been unmatched. We literally feel like we know them already just because of how much they've overcome. Their characters are so strong. They're so brave.'
Earlier this year, Jesy revealed that she will be showing her pregnancy journey on screen as part of a six-part documentary. Set to arrive on Prime Video, the series will follow the ups-and-downs of her pregnancy experience.
Jesy said: "I feel so excited and proud that we can finally reveal we have been filming our own series for Amazon! We met with the creative director Demi Foyle and Producer Gavin Evans at Navybee and letting the cameras in wasn't an easy decision for us as it's such a deeply personal time but I knew I wanted to tell my story in my own words.
"We opened the doors fully and I'm really looking forward to letting you all in as I navigate my way to becoming a first time mum to our beautiful baby girls Ocean and Story. I'll be honest, it's not been easy as it's been such a high risk pregnancy, so you'll see all the highs and lows and rollercoaster of emotions we have been going through. I hope you will all join me on this journey as I really open up and say goodbye to the past and enter this new chapter in my life. I hope you love it as much as we do."
Meanwhile, Prime Video said that Jesy will "share her truth like never before", with the documentary featuring footage of "weekly hospital visits and candid conversations" as well as the unwavering support of her loved ones.
Jesy is also set to open up about her decision to leave Little Mix in 2020, her mental health difficulties and the controversies that hit her career.

Rochelle Humes rushes to comfort This Morning guest as he sobs over family death
Rochelle Humes was presenting the ITV morning show alongside Dermot O'Leary when she rushed to comfort one of the guests as he became overwhelmed with emotion This Morning presenter Rochelle Humes couldn't bear to watch one of her guests breaking down in tears live on air without stepping in to offer comfort. The ITV personality, 36, is currently appearing alongside Dermot O'Leary this week, filling in for regular hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley whilst they take their summer break. During Monday's programme (July 28), they welcomed the relatives of Yvonne Ford, the British holidaymaker from Barnsley, South Yorkshire, who was scratched by a puppy whilst on holiday in Morocco and tragically died months later from rabies. Initially showing no signs of illness, she was taken to Barnsley Hospital after experiencing a "horrendous" headache, and within days her health deteriorated rapidly. She started hallucinating, lost the ability to walk, speak or swallow, and developed hydrophobia. Once alarm bells sounded, doctors moved the grandmother-of-four to the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield, where relatives were informed she had contracted the deadly disease, reports Wales Online. Her family are now determined to ensure Yvonne's death wasn't meaningless, hoping to spread awareness as widely as possible, beginning with a This Morning appearance despite being overwhelmed by grief after losing their mother and wife just last month on June 11. Still coming to terms with their loss, husband Ron alongside daughter and neonatal nurse Robyn Thompson and her son Adam, appeared on the ITV show to highlight the risks of rabies. Ron and Robyn remembered Yvonne as a "huge animal lover" with the "biggest heart", noting that she hadn't been bothered or sought medical attention after a puppy scratched her during a holiday in Morocco. Yvonne's husband recounted how her cut hadn't even bled, telling the hosts she'd seemed fine and had even danced the night away just weeks before her death. As he spoke about his fun-loving wife who showed no symptoms, Ron was overcome with emotion and broke down in tears. Rochelle, visibly moved herself, reached out to comfort him, placing a hand on his shoulder as he covered his face with his hands. Giving Ron a moment, Rochelle's co-host Dermot turned the conversation to Robyn, discussing their reasons for appearing on the show. The nurse explained they simply wanted to raise as much awareness as possible to prevent other families from experiencing the same pain they had endured watching their mum tragically deteriorate. Dermot thanked them for coming in, acknowledging their grief and their efforts to channel it through their appearance. He sensitively asked: "What's the one message you'd like to get across today?" Adam added: "Check the rabies recommendations. I mean Morocco was only recommended. We don't want anyone to go through what we've been through seeing our mum go through the seven days of deterioration that we had. Get those injections." Ron went on to caution: "The World Cup is in Morocco in 2030, so anybody going just be aware." This Morning airs weekdays on ITV1, from 10am.

Olivia Rodrigo's rollercoaster love life - high-profile love triangle to Paddington star
Olivia Rodrigo has had a string of rumoured high-profile romances, many of which have inspired her hit songs, from her fling with Joshua Bassett to her current partner Louis Partridge As one of pop's leading voices on the agony of young love, it's fair to say Olivia Rodrigo has had her share of personal pain. 'Her first album Sour was very much written in the pit of despair, and most of the songs seemed to be about losing the same boy,' says BBC music correspondent Mark Savage. 'She was definitely in that place where you're stuck in a cycle and can't think about anyone or anything else.' With 22-year-old Olivia - who is now in a relationship with Louis Partridge - admitting that Sour was inspired by 'earth-shattering' heartbreak, she told how Drivers License was based on her own journal entries. 'I realised part of the reason I wanted to get my licence so bad was because of… this boy,' she said, sharing an excerpt from her diary. 'I always felt bad about being too young to drive over to see him.' It was widely assumed the boy in question was her ex, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series co-star Joshua Bassett, who was rumoured to have moved on with Sabrina Carpenter after he and Olivia broke up in July 2020. 'She never confirmed any of those stories, but I'm not sure it even matters who the song is about,' says Mark. 'What matters is whether you feel what she's feeling, and with Olivia you absolutely do.' She and Joshua first met in early 2019, playing on-screen love interests Nini and Ricky, when they were 16 and 18 respectively. Regular Instagram selfies sparked speculation they had grown close off-camera, and at one point Olivia said, 'I love him so much. He's my best friend… It was like I wasn't acting.' But by the following summer, it was claimed they had split, with Olivia posting a TikTok video in which she ate a muffin with her song All I Want playing in the background. 'All I want is a good guy / Are my expectations far too high?' she sang, while captioning the clip, 'And that's on failed relationships.' Regardless of the mystery, an earlier relationship with her Bizaardvark co-star Ethan Wacker was said to have ended amicably. Though never confirmed, they were thought to have started dating in 2018, and Ethan, now 23, shared an Instagram post in January 2019 saying, 'Happy 6 months! You are the greatest.' The pair also enjoyed a trip to Hawaii, where Olivia captioned a photo, 'Heaven is a place on earth wit u.' It's thought they parted later that year, but despite deleting all their social media posts, they remained on good terms, with Olivia commenting 'He's the best!' when Ethan announced he was off to university in 2020. The following year, Olivia was reported to be seeing music producer Adam Faze. Again, it was never officially confirmed, but the two attended showbiz events together and were snapped kissing. But it was thought to have ended when Olivia unfollowed Adam on Instagram in January 2022. Soon afterwards, she was linked to DJ Zack Bia, and he attended her 19th birthday celebrations that February. However, by August the romance was said to have fizzled out, apparently due to clashing schedules. 'We hung out, we're both busy and we ended up not furthering our relationship,' Zack said. 'There was never any drama, you know?' When Olivia released fiery comeback single Vampire the following year, rumours spread that it was either about Adam, now 28, or Zack, now 29, since the lyrics suggested friction over a woman older than her. 'Went for me and not her / 'Cause girls your age know better,' she vented. Unsurprisingly, there was no official comment, and Mark says, 'We'll never know who Vampire was about, and that's probably for the best. In this kind of internet-sleuthing era, trying to guess is almost half the fun. From Olivia's point of view, keeping quiet about the subject of her songs helps grow their mystique.' When talking about her second album Guts, Olivia did reveal that a string of bad relationships had influenced the record, saying, 'Maybe I did things that maybe I shouldn't have – dated people that I shouldn't have.' And while on tour, she told fans in LA, 'I met so many people that I've dated on Instagram DM. Some of them a little questionable.' On another occasion, she spoke of a serious red flag when weighing up potential love interests. 'I always ask them if they would want to go to space… If they say yes, I don't date them,' she said. 'I just think if you want to go to space, you're a little too full of yourself.' Thankfully, Olivia's romantic status is currently far rosier, and she has been with British actor Louis Partridge for more than 18 months. After meeting through mutual friends, they were first snapped together in London in October 2023 as they shared a series of nights out. Louis, 22, who starred in the Enola Holmes films and Apple TV+ series Disclaimer, then showed up to support Olivia at iHeart Radio's Jingle Ball in New York that December, singing along with her best pals, Conan Gray and Madison Hu. In August 2024, they made their debut at Venice Film Festival, with Louis tenderly kissing Olivia on the head in one picture. They also enjoyed a lowkey outing to watch Manchester United play Chelsea in November, and surprised locals when they took a trip to north Wales the same month. Although she has avoided talking about Louis publicly, Olivia did post on his Insta page on his birthday last year, writing, 'Welcome to the 21 club angel boy!!!!' Meanwhile, the pair have looked particularly loved-up in recent months, schmoozing at the Grammys in February and the Oscars in March, while in January they joined pals Tate McRae, the Kid LAROI, Iris Apatow and The White Lotus actor Sam Nivola for a couples' break in the Caribbean. Louis was a regular supporter during Olivia's Guts World Tour as well as for her headline slot at Glastonbury, where she was also spotted on his shoulders watching Pulp play. During her Dublin show last April, many noted that she changed the lyrics of So American from 'Think I'm in love' to ''Cause I'm in love'. It was even suggested that the song, which featured on the deluxe reissue of Guts, was a message about their future plans: 'Oh God, I'm gonna marry him / If he keeps this sh*t up,' she sang. After admitting to being 'a hopeless romantic' in the past, Olivia once told how she hopes to tie the knot in the next few years. 'I just wanna be, like, 30, in a cool mid-century modern house with two babies and a husband, writing songs that I like, and having brunch with my girls on the weekends,' she said. But there could be a little more drama before she gets to that stage. 'Last time I interviewed Olivia, she told me, 'I've still got a few heartbreaks left in me,'' Mark tells us. 'I'm not sure she's quite ready to settle down just yet!' Olivia Rodrigo OK! Their engagement comes as Bec continues to build her brand away from reality TV, having first risen to fame on Locky Gilbert's season of The Bachelor in 2020. Bec previously made headlines when she was forced to break her silence on her long-running feud with former best friend and co-star, Bella Varelis. The friendship soured after the pair shared a flat together in the beachside suburb. Bec pulled no punches about the pair's acrimonious split when she was quizzed about their falling out during an Instagram Q&A. 'Bella and I have no contact whatsoever. I will never disclose the reasons why we are no longer friends,' she wrote. She went on to say the two women have 'well and truly closed the chapter' as they continue on with their lives. Bec has since moved on with her influencing career in the Sunshine Coast and Bella is an in-demand influencer in Sydney. The once close former reality stars had a 'disagreement'. 'They had a disagreement a few months ago and unfollowed each other on Instagram,' a source told the publication.
