The clip shows them twerking and laughing at the royal residence, just metres from portraits of senior royals.
The couple were later greeted by the Monarch, 76, when they attended the high-profile event last month.
Despite their eyebrow raising moves, photographs shared from the glitzy occasion showed Charles chucking with them.
Speaking on their podcast, NearlyParents, Jamie, 36, explained: "When you meet the King, you slightly bow your head, or you curtsy, then you hold your hand out and call him Sir afterwards.
"Do not raise your hand and shake his hand until he's raised his hand towards you.
"He kept looking towards Sophie, 30, and as soon as he went towards Sophie, Sophie put her hand up, like this... and then he turned away and she put it back down again.
"And she did this about three or four times, and then what happened was he looked at her again, because he's just being polite. You're meant to wait until he puts his hand up!"
Sophie confessed she was embarrassed by the mishap and added: "I thought I was missing my opportunity and I didn't listen to that, because they were talking and it's just noise in my ear.
"So I thought "he's looking at me, is this my moment, I'm meant to shake and curtsy?" And I was buckling."
Jamie told how his wife kept her hand held out waiting for Charles as he made his way down the row of guests.
Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo reveal they're stopping their hit podcast - and devastated fans think they've worked out why
He continued: "And then what happened was, the last time, he turned towards Sophie, Sophie put out her hand. She didn't withdraw, she just held it there.
"She just held it there and didn't move it until he came and shook her hand. Just holding it like that!"
This comes after their Buckingham Palace dance divided fans' opinion.
Jamie posted the video to his 1.6 million Instagram followers, writing: 'They said we couldn't film in Buckingham Palace."

Sophie, wearing a pastel yellow halter-neck dress, showed off her growing baby bump as Laing pointed to it.
The pair danced to Starrkeisha's Baby Mama, the same track used in Meghan and Harry's original clip.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex recorded their version in 2021, shortly before Meghan gave birth to Princess Lilibet.
She posted it last month to mark their daughter's fourth birthday.
Despite sparking some controversy, palace aides appeared to see the funny side of Jamie and Sophie's stunt.
The Royal Family's official Instagram account commented: 'We see you,' adding a pair of eye and wink emojis.
The King's Trust, which hosted the reception, also responded. 'All of our attendees are very well behaved,' it joked, with a laughing emoji.
But Fearne Cotton, who also attended the event, called Jamie in the comments, writing: 'You also had your pap camera out with a flash. Think of what the flash has done to those priceless paintings.
Fans were quick to react - with one joking: 'When you get to do it at the Palace but Harry and Meghan couldn't lol."
Another added: 'In a world at times worrying and serious, this comment was so needed.'
The King's Trust, set up by King Charles in 1976, supports disadvantaged young people.
It has helped more than a million into work, education or training.
Jamie and Sophie were just two of several high-profile guests at the palace event, alongside George and Amal Clooney.
The reception honoured this year's award winners - young people who have turned their lives around with help from the charity.
NEW CHAPTER

DISNEY+ has officially confirmed reality shows featuring Jamie Laing and wife Sophie - as well as the Rooney family.
Both of the new unscripted original shows follow stars at new stages of their lives.
One features former Made In Chelsea cast members Jamie, 36, and Sophie, 30, - under the working title "Jamie and Sophie: Raising Chelsea."
This new programme features the couple tackling their upcoming parenthood.
Earlier this month, it was revealed Jamie and Sophie are expecting their first child.
Their new show will highlight the pregnancy, busy professional lives, first family home, support from loved ones and their hit podcast, NearlyParents.
Discussing the project, Jamie and Sophie said: 'For nearly a decade, we've brought audiences along the highs and lows of our personal and professional lives through TV, radio, social media and our podcasts.
"It's such an honour to now partner with the incredible teams at Disney+ and Dorothy St Pictures to bring our next chapter to viewers across the globe.
"Navigating our lives with a baby on the way has opened up a whole new stage of our relationship – we can't wait to give you a front row seat!'
Also announced is an observational docu-series featuring Coleen and Wayne Rooney - under working title "The Rooneys".
In particular, the 10-part programme will follow Coleen's journey with entrepreneurship while Wayne trades training for the school run.
Although the couple are no strangers to public interest in their lives, this new show will include highs and lows of family life - to quality time on holiday.
Earlier this year, it was revealed Coleen had landed a £10million deal with Disney+ for a reality show - following a bidding war.
An insider told the Mail: "It has taken months of bidding against one another.
"The money has gone up and up and has got to £10 million, which is way higher than was first imagined, but Coleen is very much in demand.
"Both streamers were aware of the viewing public's appetite for the inside track on footballers' home lives."
Filming is underway for both shows - with a new iteration of dating series Blind Date also announced alongside them.

People are just realizing hidden detail in Kai Trump's first Instagram post

Kai Trump, the eldest daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Haydon - and the oldest grandchild of former President Trump - was just 14 when she made her Instagram debut. Her very first post? A photo with her grandfather and Tiger Woods, taken on a sunny day at one of Trump's golf courses and shared on February 23, 2021. 'Wishing Tiger luck and a speedy recovery. Also wishing his family all the best in these incredibly trying times. Get well soon! #goat #tigerwoods,' she captioned the shot, referencing Woods' serious car crash in early 2021. Now four years later, people have been noticing the significance of the post after Kai's mother started dating the golfing legend. Vanessa and Trump Jr divorced in 2018 after 12 years of marriage and since Thanksgiving 2024 Vanessa has been dating Woods. Sharp-eyed fans have been commenting on Kai's first post with one writing: 'Ironic this is her first post when he's now dating her mom.' Now 18, Kai has made a name for herself in golf. A senior at The Benjamin School in North Palm Beach, Florida, she committed to the University of Miami last year and is poised to become a star in one of the country's top golf programs. She's also one of the most-followed student-athletes online, with a growing fanbase thanks to her YouTube channel and golf content. Last fall, she played against popular golf creator Garrett Clark and regularly shares behind-the-scenes vlogs. Her popularity has paid off. She recently landed a major NIL deal with Accelerator Active Energy, joining stars like Livvy Dunne and Travis Kelce. Her announcement video - complete with a mock presidential speech - showcased her signature humor: 'My fellow Americans and content creators. After months of reflection, I made a decision. I'll be running - no, stepping - into a new role. 'One with great responsibilities and 100 per cent natural caffeine. I've partnered with Accelerator!' Speaking to Fox, Kai said the 'organic' partnership was a natural fit: 'I love energy drinks… I don't eat a lot of sugar, because I get a little jittery and I crash and with accelerator there is no sugar and I don't crash at all.' She reportedly holds a $1.2 million NIL valuation and is now part of a brand lineup that includes Dunne - who launched her own cotton candy flavor in April - and Super Bowl champ Kelce. Kai is the eldest of Don Jr. and Vanessa's five children. Her younger siblings include Donny, 16, Tristan, 13, Spencer, 12, and Chloe, the youngest. Kai has previously spoken about how her grandfather has pushed her to be a better golfer. 'He taught me to just keep on working at it, and, honestly, I've gotten a lot better in past years with golf, but, he really just [taught me to keep] trying to keep on fighting and keep on practicing and whatnot,' she told 'Fox & Friends' last month. 'And I love playing golf… it's something that we share, a special bond together.' The high school student also spoke about the difficulties in having such famous relatives. 'I mean, it's a lot to handle sometimes with the public eye and also being a high school student and just like a normal kid,' she said. 'But honestly I wouldn't trade it for anything. I'm very lucky and grateful for the opportunity I have to meet all these people and meet world leaders. 'I'm very thankful and just lucky to have this opportunity.'

Celebs Go Dating agents reveal the ‘real reason' Christine McGuiness quit the E4 show and admit it was a ‘brave' move

The model - who was married to comedian Paddy McGuinness, 51, until their split in 2022 - signed up alongside six other famous faces in the bid to find love and get help on their dating life. In an exclusive interview, love gurus Anna Williamson, Paul C. Brunson and Dr Tara opened up Christine's sudden exit when The Sun visited the Celebs Go Dating agency ahead of the new series. Anna admitted Christine's decision to join the show after her public split was a "brave" move, and it equally took courage for her exit the process after discovering it "wasn't the right time" for her. Anna explained: "It wasn't the right time for Christine to continue her journey in the agency. "I think this is the absolute beauty of what the Celebrity Dating agency does - yes it's a TV show, but it's also real. "What myself, Paul, Dr Tara do, we are not scripted, our skill sets are something we very much practice on the outside as well as within the agency construct. "And for Christine it was very brave that she wanted to dip her toe back into the world of dating and throughout the process of us getting to know her, she realised that perhaps this actually wasn't quite the right time for her to be doing that and took a great deal of confidence and bravery inside to recognise and actually now is not the right time." Anna said that viewers will get to see a different side to Christine and revealed the mum-of-three did in fact go on dates during her short stint on the show. "Christine is a fascinating woman and I think viewers are going to really empathise with everything she brings to us and the show and the Dating Agency," Anna continued. "And Christine for the short amount of time she was with us, she wanted to date and date she did." Inside the Celebs Go Dating house with Anna Williamson and Dr. Tara ahead of the new series CGD EXIT The Sun revealed that Christine decided to quit the show in a surprise move. In a statement, Christine said: 'I joined Celebs Go Dating with great intentions but have realised that dating on a public platform and the attention that brings is just too soon for me. 'They've said the door is always open for me, which I'm so grateful for, but for now I'm returning home to my family.' Christine had spent a few days in Ibiza filming for the show with stars including Kerry Katona and Olivia Hawkins. Pals told The Sun she was looking forward to moving on and potentially finding love again. At the time, a source said: 'Christine has been through so much but she's ready to move on. 'When she signed up to Celebs Go Dating the production team were told she was open to dating women as well as men. 'Taking part in a TV show about finding love is all new for Christine but she's just having fun and is enjoying herself.' However those close to Christine said since she flew to Ibiza, she had struggled with putting her private life on camera. A friend added: 'Christine has decided that some things are important for her to keep private. 'She thought signing up to Celebs Go Dating was a good idea at first but now she feels overwhelmed by the attention. 'Christine has stepped away from the show and they have been really supportive of her and her decision. 'Her wellbeing was their main priority and Christine is looking forward to getting home to be with her family.' Christine and her ex, comedian Paddy McGuiness announced they had separated in 2022 after 15 years together. The couple first met through a mutual friend in 2007, when she was 19 and he was 33. Two years later, he popped the question and they married in 2011 at Merseyside's Thornton Manor Estate. The TV personality delighted her former co-stars when she made a surprise return to the series' finale in June. A insider told The Sun: "Christine's return was kept top secret from everyone, so they were all so excited to see her come back. "The cast were really sad when she quit the show, even though they totally supported and understood her reasons, so it was great to see her come back. "She started the journey with them all, so it was the perfect end that she got to finish the series with them too. "Christine may not have found love on the show, but she seemed really happy and in a great place. "Leaving the show was the right decision for her but she loved being back in the mix without the pressure of having to actually date on camera."
