Rajasthan: Crackers, drones banned in Jaipur, schools closed in Nagaur, Hanumangarh
Jaipur: In the wake of the escalating tension along the India-Pakistan border, authorities across Rajasthan have announced a series of emergency measures to ensure public safety and maintain law and order.
In Jaipur, a complete ban has been imposed on the bursting of crackers and flying of drones, particularly during wedding ceremonies and public gatherings.
The directive has been issued by Additional Police Commissioner (Law and Order) Rameshwar Singh, citing heightened security risks. Changes have also been implemented at Jaipur Junction railway station, where multiple entry and exit points have been closed, including the gate near the DRM office.
Entry and exit will now only be permitted via Parshuram Circle. In addition, daily mock drills by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) will be held between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. at key railway stations.
In Chomu, the administration has asked traders to close markets by 8 p.m., while also extending the ban on firecrackers and drones.
Police station in-charge Pradeep Sharma confirmed that special surveillance is underway at sensitive locations and disaster relief equipment is being mobilised. To handle potential threats, two detention centres have been established in Jaipur city.
Police Commissioner Biju George Joseph has directed all station in-charges to remain on high alert and monitor outsiders.
Strict verification procedures have been ordered, with immediate legal action to be taken against individuals with questionable documents or identity.
In response to growing concerns, all government and private schools and Anganwadis in Nagaur have been closed until further notice.
Hanumangarh District Collector has ordered the closure of schools, Anganwadis, and coaching institutes from tomorrow. In Pali district, the administration has taken over 36 private hospitals for emergency use. Orders have been issued by the Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO).
Further, the National Lok Adalat, which was scheduled for Saturday in Jodhpur, Barmer, and Bikaner, has been postponed.
Rail services from Bikaner to Jaisalmer have been suspended for the past two days and will remain closed. The trains which have been cancelled till Sunday include Train 54760 – Suratgarh to Sriganganagar, Train 04770 – Sriganganagar to Hanumangarh and Train 04778 – Hanumangarh to Sadulpur.
In a significant development, two youths have been arrested in Gharsana for sharing sensitive military movement details on social media.
Authorities have emphasised that such acts will be dealt with strictly under relevant security laws. Authorities have been appealing to citizens to remain calm, follow official instructions, and avoid spreading unverified information. The situation is being closely monitored across all districts, said officials.

Swift RPF action saves life of boy who fell from train
1 2 Nagpur: After a 4-year-old boy fell off a running train from a sleeper class emergency window, the personnel from the Railway Protection Force (RPF) of South East Central Railway (SECR) worked on war footing and succeeded in saving his life. Now admitted to a Raipur hospital, the boy has been declared out of danger. Sagnik Bera had slipped through the open emergency window of the Kurla-Shalimar Express train and landed on his head on the track in the Dongargaon-Jatkanhar Railway Division of Chhattisgarh on Tuesday evening. The RPF's Herculean effort paid off, especially their swift actions in the golden hour after the boy was picked up from along the track. Sagnik was travelling with his mother, Anandita, a native of East Midnapur (West Bengal), in Coach S-3 from LTT to Kharagpur. As Anandita was climbing to the upper berth, Sagnik fell through the open emergency window while playing on the seat. Her screams prompted passengers to pull the chain, halting the train. Escorting head constable TNS Chouhan and lady constable Jyoti Bala from RPF Nagpur Division acted swiftly. They, along with the mother, ran on the tracks for almost a kilometre to pick up Sagnik, who had fortunately landed at a safe distance from the track. Divisional security commissioner, SECR, Deep Chandra Arya said that a team was sent from Dongargaon to help the escorting RPF personnel, who had picked up the boy from the track. "The RPF staffers checked on Google for the nearest hospital and took the boy to a medical facility at Dongargaon," said Arya. "The boy was later rushed to a hospital in Rajnandgaon and from there to Raipur," said the RPF official. Arya instructed inspectors Taruna Sahu and Prashant Aldak, in-charges of RPF posts Rajnandgaon and Dongargarh, to coordinate real-time updates. SECR general manager Tarun Prakash, Bilaspur principal chief security commissioner Munawar Shaikh, and Nagpur divisional railway manager Deepak Kumar Gupta were kept informed, and they too directed all possible assistance to save the child's life. Due to Sagnik's critical condition, he was referred to Pendri Medical College, Rajnandgaon. Assistant sub-inspector Arjun Singh, along with sub-inspector DB Meshram and head constable SK Mishra ensured his smooth transfer to a hospital in Raipur for advanced treatment. The RPF team coordinated with hospital authorities & transport department, arranging an ambulance and accompanying the boy to Raipur, where a CT scan & other tests were conducted. The RPF also retrieved the family's belongings from the train & provided essential supplies, including medicines & water, to the distressed mother. Over 6k fined for travelling without ticket
1 2 Patna: Samastipur division of the East Central Railway (ECR) on Wednesday conducted a massive ticket-checking drive, detaining a total of 6,383 passengers travelling without valid tickets across key stations. The drive resulted in a collection of Rs 52.47 lakh as fine from them, said Samastipur divisional railway manager (DRM) Vinay Srivastava. According to Srivastava, a total of 218 ticket-checking staff were deployed as part of the intensified drive, which aimed to ensure a smoother journey for passengers, especially travelling in reserved coaches of long-distance mail and express trains. "The campaign, led under the directive of the ECR headquarters in Hajipur, was described as one of the most comprehensive ticket-checking efforts in the recent years in the division," he said, adding that the drive was carried out from 6am to 9pm at Samastipur, Bapudham Motihari, Narkatiaganj, Saharsa, Banmankhi, Jaynagar, Raxaul, Darbhanga, Purnia Court, Supaul and Saraigarh stations.

Hyderabad: The Panchayat Raj Minister Dhanasri Anasuya (Seethakka) directed the district collectors to make arrangements to inaugurate Solar Plants owned by Women Groups on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti on October 2 this year. In a video conference with the collectors, the Minister of Panchayati Raj Danasari Anasuya Seethakka said that the Indira Mahila Shakti CM's flagship program of the Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy. The Collectors should work with the goal of making one crore women crorepatis. If Telangana Rising 2047 is to be realised, women's associations should be strengthened. Collectors should work to ensure that women's associations set up solar plants and petrol stations. The places required for them should be identified immediately and work should be started. Telangana will be good only if Anganwadis and government schools are good. Therefore, give special focus on them, said Seethakka. 'We are sewing uniforms for government school students through women's groups. 90 per cent of the uniform sewing work for this academic year has been completed. We will distribute uniforms to all students on the opening day of the school. Earlier, uniforms were received six months after the start of schools. But now we are entrusting the uniform responsibilities to women's groups and getting them to do the work. Anganwadis will open on the Wednesday. Before that, all the collectors should check how they are being managed. For the first time, we have given holidays to Anganwadis. Anganwadi buildings should be inspected by field level staff,' said Seethakka.
