Speaking to ANI, Mahendra Bhatt emphasised that party's focus will be on winning the upcoming Panchayat elections and State Assembly polls.
BJP MP Mahendra Bhatt has been re-elected as Uttarakhand BJP for the second time in row. He has been holding the position of state BJP chief since July 30, 2022.
Meanwhile, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday virtually addressed the Shrimad Bhagwat Saptaah Gyan Yagna-Shrimad Bhagwat Katha organised by Jagdish Swaroop Vidyanand Ashram Trust at Bhimgoda, Haridwar, from his residence.
Addressing the event, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that both the congregation of saints and Hari Katha are rare and both are obtained only by good fortune.
'Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuran is not an ordinary text but is the embodiment of the divine words of Shri Krishna himself. In this, an excellent description of the four purusharthas of devotion, knowledge, detachment and religion is found,' he said.
CM Dhami said that in today's era, when man is mentally and spiritually disturbed in the race of materialism, at such a time, listening to the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha shows us the path of inner peace, solutions and self-realisation. (ANI)

Salem: The custodial death of a youth in Sivaganga indicates the DMK govt's gradual departure from its ethical responsibilities, BJP MLA Vanathi Srinivasan on Tuesday. "When the Centre raises inquiries, the DMK govt claims that they cannot respond but only desires the funds to flow in," she said. She refrained from commenting on a BJP-AIADMK coalition govt in Tamil Nadu, stating that such decisions would be made by the party's high command in New Delhi. "We must ensure that the DMK is ousted in the upcoming 2026 elections, and then we will determine our next steps," she said. DMK to begin door-to-door campaign tomorrow
Coimbatore: Former electricity minister V Senthilbalaji on Tuesday said the DMK members would meet 11.58 lakh families in the district to explain to them the state govt's achievements, especially the schemes for the people of Coimbatore, in the past four years. "DMK functionaries and cadres will meet the residents in person and inform them about the injustices being done to Tamil Nadu by the BJP. They will simultaneously carry out the membership campaign. The work will commence on July 3. We will conduct public meetings at three places on Wednesday evening to convey the betrayals of the BJP govt at the Centre to the people," Senthilbalaji said while addressing the media at his office at Peelamedu here in the afternoon. Pointing out that the district was home to 31.85 lakh voters, he said the DMK's target was to attract 10 lakh voters to the party. BJP man held for hate speech
Namakkal: A 28-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday for his social media remarks targeting a minority community. The Nallipalayam police identified the arrested person as S Praveen Raj, of Muthukalipatty in Rasipuram taluk. A functionary of the BJP IT wing, Praveen was posting messages on social media under the pseudonym of Sanghi Prince, a police officer said. On Tuesday, Praveen in his post on X referred to the recent custodial death in Sivaganga, stating that he would be the next Ajith Kumar, but the difference would be that he would be a victim of terrorism. "He had in the past circulated videos against deputy chief minister Udhayanidhi Stalin," the officer said. On seeing the post on X, the Namakkal district cybercrime police lodged a complaint with the Nallipalayam police, who took him into custody. He has been booked under sections 196 (promotion of enmity between various groups based on religion, race, place of birth, residence, language, caste, or community) and 346 (removal, destruction, defacement, or addition to any property mark, with the intent or knowledge that it may likely cause harm to any individual) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. District superintendent of police S Rajesh Kannan urged the public to refrain from expressing their views on social media in ways that could provoke caste or religious sentiments, potentially leading to law and order issues.
