EastEnders' Suki Panesar's 'exit sealed' as actress makes huge career announcement

Daily Mirror3 days ago
It was another dramatic night in EastEnders tonight as Suki's baby plan was rumbled after Eve took Avani to have an abortion - and now fans think an 'exit' is on the way
There were emotional scenes in EastEnders tonight as Eve Unwin took Avani Nandra-Hart to have an abortion behind Suki Panesar's back. Now, fans fear an exit is on the way for Suki, as actress Balvinder Sopal shared some huge career news earlier today.

Over recent weeks, Avani confided in her grandmother Suki that she had fallen pregnant with Joel Marshall's baby. Avani expressed her desire to have an abortion, however, Suki persuaded her to keep the baby, telling her she would raise it as her own.

Avani seemed to be keen on the plan, although recent episodes saw her opening up to Eve saying she wanted a termination. Tonight, Eve took her to the clinic behind Suki's back, and the teen went through with the termination. It comes after EastEnders confirmed Ben Mitchell's return with first look funeral pictures.

At the end of the episode, viewers saw Avani in tears at home with Eve and her parents, Ravi and Priya - as it became apparent they were aware of what had been going on in the previous weeks.
"Do you want to tell me what the hell you think you've been doing?" a furious Ravi said to Suki - as the episode dramatically ended.

Earlier today, it was revealed Balvinder Sopal would be taking part in this year's Strictly Come Dancing. Sharing the news with fans, the actress said: "This is gonna be the ride of my lifetime! I can't wait!"
Although Balvinder said she'd be working alongside the competition, fans are certain she'll need a short break at some point, and they think they know exactly where she'll go to get away.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan said: "So with Bal confirmed for #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing Does this mean that Suki will go and visit Ash in Canada in an attempt to patch things up with her following the aftermath of Avani's termination?"
Another agreed: "Working alongside it? That is going to be one tired diva! But if we get more Suki content I'm here for it. If she did have any kind of break, it will probably link to that, maybe go and make up with Ash."
In recent weeks, we've heard updates from Ash, as Eve learnt that she had gotten engaged without telling her estranged mother Suki. Her brother Vinny headed over the Vancouver to her engagement party, leaving Suki fuming.

EastEnders star teases 'really disturbing' storyline for the Knight family

EastEnders star Colin Salmon, who plays George Knight on the BBC soap, has teased that a 'really disturbing' storyline is coming up for his Walford family Colin Salmon has teased that he has a 'really disturbing' storyline coming up on EastEnders, The actor, 63, plays George Knight on the BBC soap and while he cannot say much about what to come, he has promised that something is coming up that is 'perfect' viewers right now. ‌ Fans of the London-based soap will know that George was previously at the centre of a baby farming storyline, after he learned from his parents that they were actually paid to take him rather than adopt him of their own choosing, but he explained that something even more dramatic is on the cards. ‌ During an appearance on Friday's Good Morning Britain, he told hosts Rob Rinder and Charlotte Hawkins: "We've got another storyline you haven't seen before. I did the farming storyline, we have another storyline that is perfect for this time, it's real, it's really disturbing and it's coming. I can't tell you what it is." It comes after one EastEnders star was announced to be taking part in this year's Strictly Come Dancing. ‌ Colin, who is known starring in the James Bond franchise, and has also appeared on other TV staples like Doctor Who and Merlin over the course of his career, was introduced to Albert Square as George in 2023, and headed up the Knight family alongside son Junior (Micah Balfour), Anna (Molly Rainford) and Gina (Francesca Henry). He married Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) but began an affair with ex-wife Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins), which culminated in kicking off the Who Attacked Cindy? storyline last Christmas when she was attacked with a shovel. In making history for the soap, George became the first black landlord of the famed Queen Vic pub, and Colin insisted that while he has never tried explicitly to change things in terms of diversity, he has always faced things head on as he has tried to move forward within his career.. He added: "It was interesting because I'd been asked before and I'd known that family that life. If you see it, you can be it, it's a real simple thing. I've lived by life trying to be Avant-garde but not in an aggressive way or an antagonistic way, but just being myself in going forward without fear." Meanwhile, Colin is now reprising his role as as the Barber in Nobody 2, the sequel to the 2021 comedy, alongside Bob Odenkirk, and recalled arriving on the set to discover that his co-star is a fan of the show, and he told him about the workload that comes with making a continuing drama. He said: "When I arrived in Winnipeg I had to shoot all my scenes very quickly. And my manager in Hollywood said 'You can't do that!' I said 'Do you realise what I do for a day job? Once arriving on set, I was asked about EastEnders, and I said 'Oh we shoot a movie in a week, we shoot very quickly.'" ‌ For EastEnders fans, the storyline that Colin teased comes shortly after it was announced that his on-screen daughter Anna is to leave Walford for good. According to a source it was a mutual decision between actress Molly and soap bosses, following new Executive Producer Ben Wadey taking over the soap. It's claimed Molly is ready for new ventures, while details on Anna's exit remain under wraps for now. The BBC told us in June : "We can confirm that Molly Rainford will be leaving EastEnders later this year, and we wish her all the best for the future." Anna's biggest storylines have included her being spiked, being revealed as Cindy Beale's daughter, and her love triangle with Bobby Beale and Freddie Slater. ‌ A source confirmed the decision behind the exit, and said to The Sun: 'New boss Ben Wadey is making sweeping changes on the show and his decision coincided with Mollie deciding she wanted to pursue other challenges." They added: "New boss Ben Wadey is making sweeping changes on the show and his decision coincided with Molly deciding she wanted to pursue other challenges. "She's hugely talented and wants to spread her wings and see what else is out there for her." Molly's character Anna arrived in 2023 as part of the Knight family, with dad George, sister Gina and stepmother Elaine Peacock. They took over The Queen Vic, and soon it was revealed Anna was Cindy's secret daughter."

Strictly's Thomas Skinner responds to Narinder Kaur after she slammed BBC show for signing him

Former Big Brother star Narinder Kaur slammed Strictly Come Dancing for choosing Thomas Skinner to take part and she took to social media to make her opinions known but now he has responded Thomas Skinner has reached out to Narinder Kaur after she slammed Strictly Come Dancing for signing him up. The businessman, 34, is one of many famous faces set to hit the dancefloor when the Saturday night favourite returns to screens this September, but Narinder was not happy about it at all. ‌ The Apprentice star has also become known for sharing his political views on social media as well as his friendship with JD Vance, and Narinder, who is best known as an ex-Big Brother contestant, took to X immediately to complain about the news that he is to be on the show as she claimed she had been deemed 'too controversial' for it herself. ‌ She said: "Apparently I was deemed too controversial for @bbcstrictly because they only hire quiet brown and black women that fit in a box. But you can be a white man AND be controversial and you'll be hired on the spot! Hello Thomas Skinner!! #BBCStrictly your unconscious bias and prejudicial views against British brown women is disgraceful." It comes after a Strictly star pulled out of the show as he made a career announcement. ‌ In an accompanying video, Narinder added that she was 'raging' with the broadcaster for the actions as she pointed out his criminal past : She said: "They wouldn't take me on, we approached them and thy said that I was too controversial. They put brown women and black women on who are quiet because that's the kind of brown and black woman their audience likes. "But God forbid you're a brown woman who has some opinions, then they'll never take you on. But if white man, Thomas Skinner, proud patriot, Thomas Skinner, of the online right, who has got a criminal past, they'll take you on!" But Thomas was quick to respond to Narinder, who regularly debates current affairs on shows such as Good Morning Britain, as she made her views clear, and he issued a statement towards her in which he insisted he was not there to 'divide' people with his Strictly stint, and suggested that she stop being 'angry towards' other people. He wrote: "Narinder, I respect that you stand up for what you believe in, not everyone's got the guts to do that. Yes, I've got a past, but I'm not here to divide people. "I'm just trying to get people to believe in themselves and realise they can do more than they think. Life can be so much better when you let happiness in and don't always be angry towards others. If I've ever upset you, I'm sorry… that's never been my intention. I wish ya nothing but peace, happiness, and a life you can truly enjoy. Bosh." ‌ Many of Thomas' followers told him to 'ignore' Narinder, and she quickly backtracked on one of her complaints as she waded in once more with the comment: "I don't mind you have a criminal past.. you know I turned up for you. But you DO divide.. I try to make this country fair ALL COMMUNITIES..I fight against the racism you seem to support recently." In a statement, she added: "There's only so much you can say in a short video, but I felt something many others have been feeling all day and that was complete shock and utter bewilderment – to see Thomas be announced in the line-up, considering all the rhetoric about how people with right-wing opinions are cancelled and not allowed on the BBC. ‌ 'I've debated Tom on Good Morning Britain before, I supported his book release at his launch party, there is a huge disparity in what certain demographics of people are allowed to say and still get one show after another. I met the Strictly team at the TV Choice Awards earlier this year and got talking to one of the bookers about the show generally – and she said 'You're a bit too controversial and we can't have that for the show.'" Tom will be showing off his footwork for judges Craig Revel Horwood, Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke next month, and he is joining the likes of Neighbours legend Stefan Dennis, Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison and Love Island winner Dani Dyer amongst a host of others. ‌ Thomas said in a statement: "I'm beyond excited to be joining Strictly Come Dancing. I've tackled the boardroom and some big breakfasts in my time but stepping onto the dance floor under that glitter ball is next level stuff! "I've never danced in my life (other than at weddings) but I'm ready to graft and of course have a laugh. Bring on the sequins, sambas and most importantly, the BOSH to the ballroom!'

Hollyoaks confirms Sienna Blake goes to the police as killer Jez closes in

This is the moment Sienna Blake (Anna Passey) is cornered by Jez (Jeremy Sheffield) in Hollyoaks next week as she plans to report her villainous dad's antics to Dodger Savage (Danny Mac). Jez, as audiences know, has claimed the lives of various villagers since his arrival in the show, namely Dilly Harcourt (Emma Johnsey-Smith), Abe Fielding (Tyler Conti) and Bobby Costello (Zak Sutcliffe). He's also murdered therapist Tommy Odenkirk (Brandon Fellows), pinning the blame for that one on Joel Dexter (Rory Douglas-Speed), and social worker Ian Stone, framing Bobby for the latter. Sienna had some knowledge of her devilish dad's wrongdoings when she discovered that he murdered her beloved cousin Dilly, who was planning on reporting Sienna to the police for her role in husband Ethan Williams' (Matthew James Bailey) demise. The realisation that her supposedly kind father was responsible for the murder of Dilly left Sienna shaken to the core but in the heat of the moment she assisted Jez in getting rid of her body, burying her in the allotment. Jez vowed that he would turn over a new leaf and Sienna believed him but when she found out that the patriarch was engaged to her sister Liberty (Jessamy Stoddart), the fear of what he's truly capable of started to creep back in. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video And such fears were exacerbated further when Dodger revealed that Dilly's DNA was found in connection with the Ian Stone case – and that of Dennis Savage, who – as viewers know – was also killed by Jez. With Dilly already dead at the time of Ian's demise, Sienna put two and two together and her worst fears were realised upon a trip to the allotment, where she discovered that not only was Jez still claiming lives but that he was doing so because he believes it's what he was 'born to do'. Who will take down Jez? Sienna - if anyone can outwit a villain it's her Liberty - she will see through his lies Dodger - the detective will solve the mystery Martha - she will see what she must do in order to make amends Someone else - tell us below in the comments! Upon unearthing Robbie Roscoe's (Charlie Wernham) body, Sienna confronted Jez, who was relieved to no longer have to hide his obsession with taking lives. Horrified and appalled, Sienna raced to tell her loved ones about Jez's true nature, but the killer caught up to her, resulting in the pair of them taking a tumble from the city walls. Jez recovered in hospital and instructed mum Martha (Sherrie Hewson) to 'take care' of Sienna so to speak, knowing she will expose his horrid secrets. Sienna, however, claimed to have no memory of the events leading to her fall, with Jez relieved to be out of the woods. Or so he thinks. Subsequent scenes confirmed that not only is Sienna still aware of Jez's murderous antics but she's also keeping a list – and she intends to do whatever it takes to take him down. Next week, Sienna heads to a chatroom online for advice on what to do if your dad is a serial killer and, to further protect her loved ones and bide her time while she contemplates her next move, she tells Jez and Lib that it's unlikely she'll ever regain her memory. Liberty, however, grows concerned that Sienna is keeping something from her. Will she get to the bottom of such a thing? The jury is still out but there's soon concern when Sienna starts to behave in a peculiar manner, selling the stall and all of her stock, which leaves Liberty confused. Afterwards, Sienna makes a beeline for the police station, hoping to speak to Dodger about what she knows, but to her horror, Jez appears before her very eyes, as seen in new images shared exclusively with Metro. An emotional showdown ensues, with Sienna left in tears. The question is: will Sienna be able to cover her tracks in a swift fashion? Or is Jez aware that she recalls the truth about his murders? More Trending In terms of location, she's in the ideal place to ensure Jez is held to account – but will he have a trick up his sleeve to keep her quiet? And is Sienna officially a target once again for the killer? Alternatively, can she bring Jez to justice? Or is Jez truly as invincible as he likes to believe?
