Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio Reteam for New Action Thriller

Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio are teaming up for a new action thriller feature.
The project, titled "Carthage Must Be Destroyed", hails from Ocean's Eleven scribe Ted Griffin.
The film's synopsis reads: "A stranger happens upon a rust-belt city in decline, ruled by its criminal underworld. Using brain and brawn, he sows distrust and creates chaos, in order to dismantle the corrupt power structure."
Scorsese and DiCaprio are exec producing; Chad A. Verdi, LBI Entertainment's Christopher Donelly and Gareth West, Michelle Verdi, Chad Verdi Jr., Paul Luba, and Jennifer Davisson are producing. Lisa Frechette and Sera Verdi are also exec producing.
The production companies are Sikelia Productions, Appian Way Productions, Verdi Productions, and Ketchup Entertainment. Casting is currently underway, with production set to kick off in October in Rhode Island.
The project comes after DiCaprio starred in Scorsese's latest film, 2023's "Killers of The Flower Moon."

Ahmed Hatem to Headline Film "Shagle Eial"
Yara Sameh Egyptian actor Ahmed Hatem has signed on to star in the film "Shagle Eial" from director Yahya Ismail. Principal photography is set to commence at the end of the year. Hatem made his last appearance on the big screen in the 2024 film "Ashek". The cast also includes Asma Abulyazeid, Mohsen Mohiedine, Karim Kassem, and more. It is scripted by Mahmoud Zahran and directed by Amro Salah. "Ashek" marks the second collaboration between Hatem and Abulyazeid after the 2021 star-studded film ' Qamar 14 ' (Full Moon). It also witnesses Abulyazeid's comeback to the big screen after an absence of one year. She made her last appearance in the 2023 film " El Ameel Sefr ." Hatem, born on December 25, 1987, made his acting debut in the 2006 film "Awqat Faragh". Other notable film credits include "El Kenz" (2017), "El Haram El Rabea" (2016), "Qeset Hob" (2019), "El Ghassala" (2020), "Arousty" (2021), and "Qamar 14" (2022). Ryan Reynolds' "Animal Friends" Delayed to 2026
Yara Sameh Ryan Reynolds fans will have to wait a little longer to meet Warner Bros Pictures and Legendary Entertainment's 'Animal Friends,' as the upcoming movie is getting pushed back to next year. The project, which the Burbank, CA lot inherited from Sony, was moved from its scheduled October 10 theatrical release to May 1, 2026. It was previously dated for August 15 under Sony. When it moved to Warner Bros., the release date shifted to October 10. Despite the move, there's obvious box office potential at play: for starters, Reynolds most recently starred in Marvel's 'Deadpool & Wolverine,' which grossed $1.3 billion at the international box office, while Momoa's 'A Minecraft Movie' has grossed $948 million worldwide to date. Directed by Peter Atencio and written by Kevin Burrows & Matt Mider, 'Animal Friends' stars Reynolds, Jason Momoa, Aubrey Plaza, Addison Rae, Dan Levy, Lil Rel Howery, and Ellie Bamber in a 'live-action hybrid road trip adventure.'
