Former star Alabama cornerback reportedly signs with NFL team
According to a report Saturday from NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, former Alabama Crimson Tide cornerback Levi Wallace is signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars as a free agent. Wallace, a seven-year NFL veteran, had yet to sign with a team this offseason, and was among the list of former Alabama players still remaining in free agency. The former Alabama cornerback most recently played with the Denver Broncos during the 2024 season, starting 2-of-13 games played. During that span, Wallace had 28 tackles, which was the lowest total of his career, along with two passes defensed. Over his seven previous seasons in the league, Wallace has compiled 333 career tackles with seven TFL and 12 interceptions across 96 career games, 72 of which he started. Undrafted out of Alabama back in 2018, Jacksonville will also be Wallace's fourth NFL team, joining the Buffalo Bills, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Broncos. Davante Adams and Puka Nacua already look like one of the best wide receiver duos in the NFL. The Los Angeles Rams' wideouts have been sensational over the past two years on separate teams, but now come together in a Sean McVay offense with Matthew Stafford under center. They're not the only dynamic duo in the NFL, though. The league is full of rock-solid one-two punches at the receiver position, and CBS Sports asked Adams which duos were his favorite in the league. He refused to put himself and Nacua in this group, though, because he said saying that "only backfires." So, here's who Adams picked: It's a pretty accurate list, and one that many people would include Adams and Nacua on in 2025. The Rams will only see a few of them this year. They open the preseason against the Cowboys on Aug. 9, but likely won't see Lamb or Pickens in that game. L.A. plays Brown, Smith and the Eagles in Week 3, but wouldn't see the Vikings until the playoffs and wouldn't see the Bengals unless they got a Super Bowl rematch in 2025.

Parsons is under contract for the 2025 NFL season, and the Cowboys aren't going to cut his loose without getting value for him. And when it comes to pass rushers, the Eagles are always intrigued. But it's hard to imagine the Eagles would be willing to cough up a ton of assets and be willing to offer Parsons game-changing money. It's also tough to picture the Cowboys sending one of their most important players of the past few seasons to a division rival like the Eagles. Parsons entered the NFL as the 12th overall pick out of Penn State in 2021. He was the Defensive Rookie of the Year and earned a Pro Bowl nod in his first season. Over four years, Parsons was named a Pro Bowler each time. He was also voted as an All-Pro three times, missing the mark last year, as he dealt with injuries.
