Primetime 585 Spotlight Team: Arcadia flag football
The Titans beat Spencerport 41-7 on Monday behind senior quarterback Aimee Turner's four touchdown passes and one rushing touchdown.
The senior has put up impressive numbers in all four games for Arcadia, totaling nine passing touchdowns so far this season.
'We just understand how winning is really important to us,' Turner said. 'We do a lot of work outside of the game, so we just get really prepared. We've got great coaches, and everyone on the team shows up and does their best.'
Senior wide receiver Kaitlyn Spring had a two-touchdown day against Spencerport, including a 21-yard pass from Turner. She ended the day with three receptions for 36 yards, helping the Titans remain undefeated.
'We know who we are, we know each task. Every game's different, we take that step,' head coach Matt Lapinski said. 'We have this mentality of just win, figure out a way and we just get it done.'
Sophomore running back Vivian Koffa added six carries for 75 yards, including a 59-yard touchdown run.
The Titans also dominate on defense, led by Turner with seven flag pulls in Monday's victory. So far this season, the team has only allowed one offensive touchdown.
'This started three years ago, and a lot of these girls on this team are on their third year,' assistant coach Brian Shonitsky said. 'We started with sayings: 'Write the script, build an army, relentless effort.''
When asked if this year's goal is a sectional title, junior running back/wide receiver Samantha Mau had a simple answer.
'We need to get it done this year,' she said. 'There's no way around it, it needs to be done this year.'
Congratulations to Arcadia for being the Primetime 585 Spotlight Team of the Week!

5 best fantasy football running back value picks in 2025
NFL teams are running the ball more productively than at almost any point in the last decade. The running game is back but that hasn't always translated to fantasy football. Entering the 2025 NFL season, there are a handful of players widely expected to be the top scorers at the position. Reigning Offensive Player of the Year Saquon Barkley, Bijan Robinson, Jahmyr Gibbs, Derrick Henry and Christian McCaffrey are among those experts predict will be reliable double-digit scorers week in and week out. Look at the next tier of running backs in fantasy football and you'll find productive players at the position with some question marks. Ashton Jeanty has plenty of hype but is a rookie in arguably the toughest division in the NFL. Bucky Irving had an impressive rookie season but enters Year 2 with a new offensive coordinator. Johnathan Taylor hasn't played a full season since 2021 which negates his solid production when on the field. This list isn't about the first two or even three tiers of fantasy football running backs. This is about finding value beyond the top 15 players at the position entering 2025. That's where mid-round flyers on players could make the difference between competing for a title and hoping to avoid last-place punishments. USA TODAY Sports identified five value picks at running back who could outplay their current average draft position (ADP) in 2025: Fantasy football RB value picks ADP is from FantasyPros and in half-PPR league formats. The fourth-year running back has never been down on talent. His issue throughout his career has been availability; he's missed 10 games over his first three seasons in the NFL. The Seahawks had the fifth-worst rushing offense in the NFL a year ago. New offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak will offer schematic improvements that should play to Walker's strengths, specifically in outside zone runs. He's going this low likely because of injury concerns and worries about Seattle's offensive line. The Seahawks spent their first round pick on guard Grey Zabel, showing how committed they are to improving up front. That's enough reason to have optimism about Walker in 2025. Pollard managed 1,317 yards from scrimmage and five touchdowns last season in a Titans offense that was a bottom-eight unit in points and yards. Tennessee overhauled a lot on offense this offseason with a new quarterback in No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward, two new starters on the offensive line and a revamped wide receiver room. All of this should see the Titans offense take a step forward on offense to at least get closer to the middle of the pack. That rising tide should elevate Pollard to a solid No. 2 running back. Tyjae Spears' injury will keep him sidelined for the rest of the preseason, giving Pollard the majority of touches with the first-team offense. Rookie running backs can be hard to predict but Johnson may be in a good situation to outproduce his current draft position. Even with the arrival of quarterback Aaron Rodgers and wide receiver DK Metcalf, offensive coordinator Arthur Smith will still want to run the ball effectively. Johnson fits the bill well as an early-down back in that system. A healthy offensive line in Pittsburgh could take a step this year with center Zach Frazier, right guard Mason McCormick and right tackle Troy Fautanu all entering their second year in the NFL. In his time as a play-caller on offense, Smith has ranked in the top-10 in rushing attempts five times in six NFL seasons. Last year the Steelers were fourth in the league in rushing attempts. The volume is there for Johnson to produce beyond his RB28 status. Minnesota has traditionally had one primary running back during coach Kevin O'Connell's tenure. That's reportedly changed this offseason during training camp as it's been closer to an even split between Aaron Jones Sr. and Mason. The Vikings invested in the offensive line with new starters at center and both guard spots. They're dropping in an unproven quarterback in J.J. McCarthy. This should lead Minnesota to rely more on the running game in 2025 than in years past. The Vikings traded one of their few draft picks for Mason this offseason. Through the first seven games of 2024, only two running backs had more rushing yards: Henry and Barkley. He's been productive when given the opportunity and could usurp the 30-year-old Jones as the Vikings' primary back over the course of the season. Regardless of their playoff chances in 2025, the Cowboys should be a more productive offense on the ground. They spent their top pick on guard Tyler Booker, a mauler in the run game, and brought in Klayton Adams from Arizona to be their offensive coordinator. Adams had a big role in the Cardinals' running scheme which has been one of the most diverse in the league over recent seasons. Williams is currently slated to start for the Cowboys. He played in all 17 games last season for Denver with 11 starts but managed just 859 yards from scrimmage. Williams should have the edge over other running backs in Dallas to start the season. He could easily benefit from the ground game's improvement under Adams and outplay his status as a low-end RB3.

1 Phillies' player who will make or break 2025 World Series chances
The post 1 Phillies' player who will make or break 2025 World Series chances appeared first on ClutchPoints. The Philadelphia Phillies are running away with the National League East as the New York Mets crumble. Philly has been great too, without the fanfare of the struggling Amazins, but has struggled in October. The Phillies have not won the World Series since 2008 and need shortstop Trea Turner to continue his bounce-back season to make it there this year. The Phillies lost in the NLDS to the Mets after running away with the division thanks to a 95-win season. In 2023, they lost to the Arizona Diamondbacks in the NLCS after taking a 3-2 series lead. They took a 2-1 lead in the 2022 World Series before losing to the Houston Astros in six games. With an expensive and elite core on the field, they have not been able to bring a championship back to Philadelphia. Trea Turner is the key to getting over that hump. Turner joined the Phillies ahead of the 2023 season on an 11-year, $300 million contract. He racked up 100 RBI and an .809 OPS in his lone full season with the Los Angeles Dodgers to earn that deal. But he struggled to start the big contract, with a .235 batting average and .657 OPS through August 3. A famous standing ovation turned the season around, with his OPS ending at .778. Turner was an All-Star in 2024, but an injury capped his games at 121. In the Mets series, he had just three singles in four games, compared to five strikeouts. This year, Turner has been solid offensively and picked up his defensive struggles, from -2 outs above average in 2024 to 11 in 2025, according to Baseball Savant. With those improvements, the Phillies are in a much better position to win the World Series. They could make a lot of improvements, but the National League will be strong and difficult to work through. Can they make another October run? The Phillies need more than just Trea Turner to win the World Series Turner will be very important to the Phillies in October. They needed better defense at shortstop, needed another big bat at the top of the lineup, and needed Turner to make good on the investment. Those three things have happened this season, but Turner alone cannot beat the Mets, Dodgers, Brewers, or Cubs to win the pennant. The Phillies have two strong pitchers who will be difficult to beat for anyone at the beginning of the series. Zach Wheeler has been all around the NL Cy Young race in recent years, including this one. Cristopher Sanchez could steal it from Paul Skenes this year with an incredible 1.69 ERA since June 1. The Phillies have spent a lot of money on their roster in recent years and could be spending more in the offseason. Kyle Schwarber and J.T. Realmuto are both free agents at the end of the season. They are integral parts of the Phillies' core, especially Schwarber, who could reach 50 homers this season. They went all-in at the trade deadline and could be even more all-in this offseason. That puts a lot of pressure on the 2025 campaign. The Phillies invested a lot in Trea Turner, and he needs to be an elite playoff performer to make good on that investment. While that is a high bar, he has been an elite contact bat in recent years. That contract was for the immediate future, not for contention in the tenth season. When the postseason begins, the Phillies could land in the three-game Wild Card Series. While they have a great roster, those are difficult series to win and could end in a disappointing year. Trea Turner holds the keys to a deep Phillies playoff run and an upset win over the Los Angeles Dodgers in October. Phillies' Trea Turner reaches career milestone with emphatic HR
The post Phillies' Trea Turner reaches career milestone with emphatic HR appeared first on ClutchPoints. The Philadelphia Phillies have started a new series on Monday night, as they engage the Seattle Mariners in an interleague date at Citizens Bank Park in the City of Brotherly Love. It did not take long for Trea Turner and the home team to heat up offensively versus the visitors, as the Phillies jumped on Mariners starter Logan Gilbert in the second inning, lighting up the right-handed pitcher for six runs in the frame. Philadelphia recorded five consecutive hits in that inning against Gilbert, including Turner's three-run home run. Turner battled Gilbert for six pitches before launching a blast that went 365 feet deep off an 88 mph slider. That home run from Turner stretched the Phillies' lead to five runs, and more significantly to him, put him in the 1,500-hit club — in style. Turner has been among the most reliable bats for the Phillies in the 2025 MLB regular season. He entered the Mariners series, slashing 291/.348/.432. His OPS starting on Monday was down to .780 from .807 in 2024, in part because of his lower home run rate this season. In 2024, Turner had a 3.9 percent home run rate, but that number was down to 2.2 percent at the start of the week. Turner's home run added flair to his career milestone in the big leagues, which also has lots of Phillies and baseball fans buzzing online with reactions. 'Best shortstop in the league btw,' one fan claimed on social media. 'Congratulations on your milestone. That ball was crushed,' added another X user. Via another commenter: 'Big milestone blast 💥⚾' 'Trea's a dawg, no doubt about it,' chimed in another. 'What a beautiful slam,' a different commenter posted. '#Phillies Trea is the best Trea!' one shared. Most of Turner's hits in the big leagues were made during his stint with the Washington Nationals, his first MLB team. He had 769 hits with the Nats and 466 more when he brought his talents to the Los Angeles Dodgers before signing an 11-year contract worth $300 million with the Phillies in 2022. As for the Phillies, they are looking to pad their lead atop the National League East division standings, with the surging New York Mets chasing them.
