Rabid BTS fan tries to break into Jungkook's home hours after K-pop star discharged from mandatory military service
Surprise K-pop-in.
A rabid K-Pop fan tried to break into the apartment of BTS member Jeon 'Jungkook' Jung-Kook just hours after he was released from mandatory service in the South Korean military, according to a report.
A Chinese woman in her thirties was picked up by Seoul police around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday as she repeatedly tried to enter the security code of Jungkook's apartment door, The Korea Times reported.

The woman told police that she traveled all the way to the South Korean capital from mainland China to celebrate the 27-year-old pop star's military release after 18 months of service, the outlet reported.
Wednesday's attempted break-in is just the latest in an ongoing series of obsessive fans flirting with criminality in efforts to reach members of BTS.
Overly enthusiastic fans repeatedly sent food to Jungkook's home in 2023 and during a tour stop in Las Vegas, they incessantly called his hotel room in a stunt he called 'scary,' the Korea Times reported.
Jungkook and his bandmate Jimin, 29, were discharged from the South Korean Army on Tuesday as six of the seven-member, internationally popular supergroup finished up their mandatory civil service this month.

Photos show the pair proudly saluting in their fatigues — but Jungkook revealed the once familiar flashbulbs now seem foreign.
'Actually, it's been so long since I've been in front of cameras, and I didn't even put on makeup, so I'm a bit embarrassed,' Jungkook told reporters, adding, 'I don't know what to say.'
Jungkook and Jimin began their brief military careers in December 2023.
BTSers RM, 30, and V, 29, exchanged their camo for sequins on Tuesday, and the band's lead rapper Suga, 32, will complete his mandatory civil service as a social service agent on June 21.
'J-Hope', 31, completed his military service in October 2024.

The wildly successful K-Pop group put their music career on hold in 2022 with the members complying with the Asian nation's civil service mandate for 18- to 28-year-old men.
Millions of fans anticipate a reunion tour, but no such plans currently exist.
Instead, J-Hope is currently on an international solo tour that brought him to Brooklyn in March, and Jimin is set to begin his international tour next month.

3 Houston Restaurants to Try This Weekend: June 13
Each week, we'll provide a trusty list of recommendations to answer the most pressing of questions: 'Where should I eat?' Here are three places to check out this weekend in Houston. And if you need ideas on where to drink, here's our list of the hottest places to get cocktails in town. For a spread of Lebanese cuisine: Craft Pita 5172 Buffalo Speedway, Suite C, West University; 1920 Fountain View Drive, Briargrove Chef Rafael Nasr harnesses his Lebanese heritage and family traditions in this fast-casual, counter-service restaurant. There's cheesy man'oushe (Lebanese flatbread); creamy, spicy hummus; and irresistible Tex-Med Lebanese tacos topped with french fries (try the chicken with pickles and parsley). That's in addition to heaping pita sandwiches, salads, and rice and hummus bowls built with flavorful beef kafta, falafel, or slow-roasted chicken. A rich garlic aioli, hot sauce that adds a pleasant zing to any dish, and labneh ranch level up most plates. The food is already affordable — a family spread that feeds three to four people features a whole rotisserie chicken covered in Lebanese spices, a quart of hummus, pita bread or chips, a fattoush salad, and a choice of rice pilaf or Lebanese rice (a Lebanese version of dirty rice) for $55. Craft Pita has also recently launched brunch, serving a brunch sampler that includes soft scrambled eggs, dips, olives, and a half za'atar, half-cheese flatbread, and knafeh, a classic Lebanese dessert made with kataifi pastry, a cheese blend, and pistachios. (For more deals, visit during its weekday happy hour between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. when all its shareable starters are half-off and beer and wine are $4.) Don't skimp out on dessert or drinks — Lebanese wines by the glass or bottle, Turkish coffee and iced lattes, and stretchy booza are all on offer. Takeout here is a breeze, but don't be afraid to dine in and enjoy the spread in-house. For ice cream that infuses Asian diasporic flavors: Milk + Sugar Creamery 1848 Westheimer Road, Montrose; 1324 North Shepherd Drive, Heights; 5172 Buffalo Speedway, West University A double scoop at Milk + Sugar is essential. Brittany Britto Garley In Houston, where the weather is mostly hot and humid, ice cream is a treat year-round, especially when the scoop shops reflect some of the city's favorite flavors. Milk + Sugar taps into that with a case full of rich flavors that often include Asian diasporic flavors. Think Thai tea, a yum cha flavor featuring chrysanthemum and pandan swirl, and a seasonal milk tea ice cream. Diners can dig into other flavors, too, like the seasonal Love is Love (strawberry ice cream cake with confetti cake in celebration of Pride), the happy wife (a perfect combination of sweet cream ice cream and homemade almond pound cake), and a remarkably satisfying PB Cookies and Cream. Best of all, if making a decision is difficult, Milk + Sugar gives generous samples and offers the opportunity to half-scoop flavors (one scoop with two flavors). They're also super considerate of their lactose-intolerant fan base, and sell Lactaid pills at the register for 50 cents. For coffee drinks with the most flavorful cold foams: Slowpokes 3401 Canal Street, East End Whether you're in need of a coffee drink, wine, beer, or breakfast, Slowpokes has got you covered. Brittany Britto Garley Houston coffee shops keep popping up around the city, and though that could mean more competition, the more the merrier. Local cafe chain Slowpokes opened its most recent outpost in the East End, inviting diners into a space that's cozy and multi-faceted with plenty of outlets; different styles of seating (booths, bar, and tables); a full bar with beer and wine; a kick-ass playlist; and an all-day food menu that features bagel sandwiches, salads, flatbreads, a tantalizing baked brie dip, and pastries. Aside from blending their own beans in-house and potent cold brew, Slowpokes gets especially inventive with its cold foam, which changes depending on what the barista is feeling, or what the diner can dream up based on the homemade syrups available. Popular flavors have included ube and caramel apple butter, and, during a recent visit, creamy banana cold foam that tasted like Laffy Taffy. While topping it on coffee drinks is a popular choice (try your choice of cold foam atop the signature caramel and hazelnut-laden Slowpoke), a manager at Slowpokes tells Eater that people have been requesting the cold foam atop flavored sodas or Ramblers to make a refreshing Italian-style soda. Here, there are many possibilities. Don't leave without peeking into the bathrooms, which are decorated with wallpaper featuring the most adorable on-theme sloths and turtles. Beach Boys' Mike Love honors late Brian Wilson at Songwriters Hall of Fame induction: ‘I do feel his presence'
It was a moment of bittersweet vibrations. That was the mood when the Beach Boys frontman Mike Love was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame on Thursday night. The enshrinement at New York's Marriott Marquis came just one day after it was confirmed that his brilliant bandmate — and cousin — Brian Wilson died at 82. While receiving the prestigious honor, Love, 84, paid tribute to Wilson, with whom he co-wrote Beach Boys classics such as 'I Get Around,' 'California Girls' and 'Good Vibrations.' Together, we set the stage for some of the most successful music collaborations of all time. I do feel his presence.' Love was inducted by 'Full House' actor John Stamos, who has been an honorary Beach Boy playing drums and guitar with the band for 40 years. Celebrating Love's role in creating 'the sound of a generation' in the '60s, Stamos saluted him as 'a composer whose melodies shaped millions of dreams, including all of us in this room.' 'The man we're honoring tonight didn't just write songs. He painted a Technicolor tableau of the American dream, surfboards, radios, convertibles, speeches, babes, heartbreaks and harmonies,' he continued. 'He made the whole world want to be us, sun-kissed, carefree, full of promise and optimism. His lyrics were cinematic, set to the soundtracks of fellow Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee, Brian Wilson.' Charles Sykes/Invision/AP After accepting his honor 'with a full heart of gratitude, love and peace,' Love was joined by Stamos for a performance that included the Beach Boys hits 'California Girls,' 'I Get Around,' 'Kokomo' and 'Good Vibrations.' It was Stamos, 61, who told Love that the long-troubled Wilson had died while they were traveling together to New York for the induction ceremony. 'I was with Mike, I got off the plane, and I got the text,' he exclusively told The Post on the red carpet. 'I was like, I said, 'Mike, your cousin passed away,' and his face went blank.' Joining Love in the Songwriters Hall of Fame class of 2025 were funk legend George Clinton, who was inducted by Living Colour; Doobie Brothers Michael McDonald, Tom Johnston and Patrick Simmons, saluted by Garth Brooks; R&B hitmaker Rodney Jerkins (Beyoncé, Whitney Houston), enshrined by Teddy Riley; country chart-topper Ashley Corley, initiated by Dan + Shay; and British tunesmith Tony Macaulay, feted by Debbie Gibson. Meanwhile, 'Wicked' composer Stephen Schwartz received the Johnny Mercer Award, while 'That's So True' singer Gracie Abrams received the Hal David Starlight Award for young songwriters.
