Krishnah Gravidez back in Manila after Miss World 2025
Our very own Krishnah Gravidez is back home!
The beauty queen had a salubong at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 late on Thursday.
As seen in a report by Bea Pinlac on "Unang Hirit" on Friday, Krishnah donned an ivory dress with gold details. She also carried a bouquet and waved a small Philippine flag.
"I'm just really happy to see everyone here, to be back home, and to share this victory to the entire Philippines," she said in an interview with GMA Integrated News.
"This is not only for me, but for all of you, and I would like to maximize this to strengthen and broaden my charity organization, Color the World With Kindness, and all the meaningful causes that I am championing for," she added.
According to Miss World Philippines national director Arnold Vegafria, Krishnah will be part of the Miss World tour, although most of her projects will be within Asia.
Krishnah ended her Miss World journey with an impressive Top 8 finish and was initially one of the two frontrunners for the continental title, sharing the spotlight with Thailand's Opal Suchata Chuangsri.
Opal ultimately clinched the continental award and later won the Miss World crown. With this, Krishnah rightfully assumed the title of Miss World Asia. —Nika Roque/JCB, GMA Integrated News

Shuvee Etrata chose Klarisse De Guzman and Dustin Yu picked Bianca De Vera as their final duos in "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition." In the episode on Friday, Shuvee explained she chose Klarisse because she's among the people who bring joy in Bahay ni Kuya. Philippine culture, artworks take centerstage at Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan
Philippine culture and artworks took centerstage at the Philippine Pavilion at the Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan. According to Katrina Son's report in "24 Oras" Friday, among the artworks that were featured include handwoven pieces with multimedia projections that seemingly transport viewers to the different regions of the Philippines. "These are all made of abaca, so the artists weaved abaca to be the canvas for the art piece and then we printed our art piece on it," Philippine Pavilion creative director Chochay Garcia said of a woven artwork. "And then as you can see, there are strips here. They've been cut into strips and then reweaved together, inserting different materials that are endemic to the Philippines," she added. Many attendees admired the handwoven pieces at the Philippine Pavilion, including OPM icon Jose Mari Chan and European Union Ambassador to the Philippines Massimo Santoro. "We've been showing our Japanese friends the island where we were born in Iloilo. Today, this is the first pavilion that we came to, I wanted our Japanese guests to appreciate our pavilion, " said Jose Mari Chan. Meanwhile, Filipino Romer Arguelles, who visited the pavilion with his family from Dubai, was recognized as the 300,000th visitor. "Very surprising. Nakakataba ng puso na nagkaroon pa ng ganito na pang 300,000. Dapat kung bibisita ka lang din sa expo, dito ka dapat una pumunta. Be proud of your country," said Romer. Attendees also took part in the Philippine cultural dances performed at the expo, while others tried traditional hilot massage. Philippine cuisine also shone at the pavilion through Hain, where halo-halo, adobo, and okoy were served to the attendees. According to the report, cultural performances will be held at the Philippine Pavilion on Saturday, June 7, for Philippine National Day. —CDC, GMA Integrated News

Alexie Brooks opens up on relationship with girlfriend: ‘I'm grateful everyday na she's there to make me happy'
Alexie Brooks opened up about her relationship with her girlfriend, giving a glimpse into her personal life. In an interview with Boy Abunda in "Cayetano in Action with Boy Abunda" on June 1, the Miss Eco International 2025 queen revealed that she's been in a relationship for almost a year now. Alexie gently corrected Tito Boy when he asked her how important 'this man' was to her concept of happiness. 'I'll change the 'man.' I'll rephrase. The woman,' the beauty queen said. So Tito Boy asked her again, 'How important is that woman to your concept of happiness?' 'Very important, Tito. I realized it when my grandma passed away and she was there. And that was the first time that I caught myself down on the floor. And she helped me get out of the floor. I didn't eat for a few days, she didn't eat for a few days,' Alexie said. She added that during that time, her girlfriend made sure that she was OK. 'I think that tells so much about how much she cares for me, how much she loves me. I'm grateful everyday na she's there to make me happy and supporting me in the dreams that I want,' Alexie said. Alexie had always been vocal about her androgynous identity and how she embraces fluidity in both style and relationships. 'And I feel like it's better if you don't put yourself a limit into what you can, you know, expression mo sa sarili mo. And it's so much better. I'm happier. I'm comfortable and I feel confident and I don't think—there's nothing wrong with that,' she said. Alexie was crowned Miss Eco International 2025 last April at the Hilton Green Plaza in Alexandria, Egypt. —Carby Rose Basina/CDC, GMA Integrated News
