Pep Guardiola's daughter shares wholesome moment with dad at Oasis gig

The Manchester City boss was in the crowd at Heaton Park on Friday night as Oasis played their first homecoming gig in the city since 2005 and his daughter captured a very special moment on video
Pep Guardiola enjoyed a special father-daughter moment with Maria at Oasis ' first homecoming gig in Heaton Park.
Oasis kicked off the first of their Heaton Park comeback shows last night. The five nights are the Gallagher brothers first time playing in their hometown since 2009. The band wowed fans with a nostalgic setlist of their greatest hits, culminating in a spectacular fireworks display that lit up the night sky.

Among the crowd was Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola and his daughter who shared a video on Instagram showing the pair singing along to 'Don't Look Back in Anger' together. The Manchester City manager received several shoutouts during the night, including one from Liam Gallagher, who said: "I'd like to dedicate this to the greatest f***** manager of all time".

Pep also took a photo with Noel's and Liam's children, shared on Gene's Instagram page. Wearing a retro Manchester City kit and casual denim shorts, Pep looked like a typical concert-going dad as he raised his drink for the photo, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Before the show, a message on the huge screens read: 'This is not a drill', followed by a montage of Oasis reunion rumours, newspaper headlines, and finally, the confirmation from last August. As the crowd erupted into cheers, a voice announced: "The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over."
The adoring crowd let out a deafening roar as Manchester's favourite sons took the stage, arms raised and hands clasped together. "Manchester this is it, Manchester in the area," Liam Gallagher roared as he and his brother Noel led a triumphant Oasis reunion gig.
Before their electrifying comeback at Cardiff earlier in July 2025, the last time Oasis had performed together was back at V Festival in August 2009, ending on a high note with 'I Am The Walrus'.

Formed in the heart of Manchester in 1991, Oasis quickly became synonymous with the Britpop movement, achieving global fame and influencing countless artists with their seven chart-topping albums over two decades.
The Gallagher brothers, Liam and Noel, have always been at the centre of the band's success and controversies, known for their captivating performances and songwriting prowess, as well as their notorious sibling rivalry that has provided endless headlines.
Following Oasis's split in 2009, the Gallaghers went their separate ways, fronting their own bands, Beady Eye and Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, respectively.

Sharing the story with his 3,000 followers, he told how he sprinted across the street as the building collapsed. He said: "I was out tonight and I got home and parked the car round the corner and as I was walking round the corner I was looking at the building which has been lying derelict for five years since there was a fire thinking it was about time they demolished it that. "Then I started hearing really weird noises like crackling noises like it was raining really heavily and I looked up and the building was looking weird so I ran across the street as it collapsed." Tom said he "got a fright" and hates to think what would have happened if the tenement had collapsed during the day. Residents were evacuated while fire crews secured the area. He added: "I phoned the police of course. Because I've been watching 911 religiously I knew how to be concise and tell them exactly where it was and the postcode, there was no danger and all that. "So the street is now completely full of fire engines and police and all sorts, so there you go. Mental." Fans of the actor flocked to the comments to react to his frightening ordeal. A third added: "My goodness! That's crazy." A fourth weighed in: "Thank goodness you are okay, definitely lotto ticket time." A fifth put: "FFS, what a thing to happen!" Sharing a picture of the collapsed building on Instagram, Tom added: "Actually ran for the first time since I was eight. Felt like Indiana Jones. The Pollokshields version." An SFRS spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 12.09am on Saturday, July 12 to reports of a collapsed derelict building on Kenmure Street in Glasgow. "Operations control mobilised eight appliances to the scene. "A number of nearby residents have been evacuated as firefighters work to make the area safe. "There are no reported casualties."

Pep Guardiola parties with Gallagher family at Oasis homecoming gig

The homecoming of Oasis in their long-awaited Manchester gig turned into a family affair with the children of Noel and Liam Gallagher pictured together backstage for a gig many in the city thought would never happen. More than 70,000 people descended on Manchester to witness the concert in Heaton Park, with the Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, among the crowds. Guardiola had the song D'You Know What I Mean dedicated to him by Liam, who referred to the Spaniard as 'the boss', calling him the 'greatest manager of all time', a comment which provided the only decisive moment for the adoring crowd – many of whom hailed from the red half of the city. Guardiola was pictured with Liam's two sons Lennon, 25, and Gene, 24, and Noel's three children Anais, 25, Donovan, 17 and Sonny, 14. Gene, whose mother is Liam's ex-wife Nicole Appleton, shared the image to Instagram, with the caption: 'Pic of the century alright now everyone els fuck off.' Noel also dedicated the song Half The World Away to Royale Family actor Craig Cash and his co-star Caroline Aherne, who died of cancer in July 2016, at the age of 52. The song was used as the theme tune in the BBC comedy. At about 8.20pm, the brothers walked on to the stage together to deafening cheers from crowds. Liam, wearing a zipped-up parka in 30C weather, held his older brother's hand and raised it. The duo started with their song Hello, which was followed by Acquiesce. Morning Glory came after in a set that was full of the band's greatest hits. Fans had to wait until the encore to hear Don't Look Back In Anger and Wonderwall. Greater Manchester police said the event passed 'without incident', although six men were arrested and in custody for a range of reasons including being drunk and disorderly and on suspicion of drug and fraud offences. Five drones were also seized after breaches of airspace restrictions. Oasis-fever gripped the city this week before the gig. Huge pictures of the brothers were splashed on the side of the city's yellow buses, and Liam Gallagher's voice made on the Metrolink tram network, telling fans: 'The next stop is … Heaton Parrrk,' before adding: 'Off you go.' The Guardian spoke to fans queueing for the gig before it began, including some who had travelled from as far as the US and Mexico. Many were wearing bucket hats in the scorching heat. In a post on social media, the band urged concertgoers to 'wear a (bucket) hat', put on sun screen, stay hydrated, seek shade and look after one another at Heaton Park. Carley Williams, 27, from Boston, in the US, spent more than $15,000 (£11,000) to visit Manchester for two weeks and see the five home town gigs. 'I've just never been more excited in my life,' she said. 'This is like what I've lived my life to do, so I just have never experienced this level of anticipation in my life, and I'm just loving every minute of it.' The five sold-out shows there follow the band's first comeback gigs in Cardiff last week. In a five-star review, the Guardian called it a 'triumph in the bag'. After Manchester, Oasis will visit London's Wembley Stadium, Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium and Dublin's Croke Park throughout July, August and September.
