Liam And Noel Gallagher Pay Their Respects After Oasis Fan's Death At Their Wembley Stadium Show

Oasis musicians Liam and Noel Gallagher have paid their respects after a fan fell to his death during their show in London on Sunday night. During the band's most recent performance at Wembley Stadium, police and paramedics were called to the scene where a man in his 40s sustained injuries 'consistent with a fall'. He was then pronounced dead at the venue. London's Metropolitan Police is requesting that anyone with information about the man's death contact them. 'The stadium was busy, and we believe it is likely a number of people witnessed the incident, or may knowingly or unknowingly have caught it on mobile phone video footage,' they said in a statement. Oasis has issued a statement expressing the band's 'sincere condolences' towards the family and friends of the man who died. 'We are shocked and saddened to hear of the tragic death of a fan at the show last night,' they said. 'Oasis would like to extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the person involved.' A spokesperson for Wembley Stadium also issued a statement, which read: 'Last night, Wembley Stadium medics, the London ambulance service and the police attended to a concertgoer who was found with injuries consistent with a fall. 'Despite their efforts, the fan very sadly died. Our thoughts go out to his family, who have been informed and are being supported by specially trained police officers.' Per The Guardian, the man in question was thought to have been seated in the upper tier of Wembley Stadium for Oasis' show on Sunday night, the highest point of which is 50 metres above ground level. The Oasis Live '25 tour recently wrapped five nights at Wembley Stadium, and will arrive at Edinburgh's Murrayfield this weekend, before travelling to Ireland and North America. Oasis will then perform two additional shows at Wembley Stadium in September, after which they'll head to Japan, Australia and South America. George Clooney gives co-star Adam Sandler props for his acting skills in ‘Jay Kelly'

George Clooney wants everyone to know Adam Sandler is much more than a funnyman. The pair star in the forthcoming Netflix film 'Jay Kelly' which centers around 'famous movie actor Jay Kelly (Clooney) and his devoted manager Ron (Sandler) as they embark on a whirlwind and unexpectedly profound journey through Europe.' The pair talked to Vanity Fair about the project and Clooney shared his admiration for Sandler's work on the film. 'This film — more than any film Adam has done — shows what a beautiful, heartfelt, soulful actor he is,' Clooney told the publication. 'I kept telling the cast, 'Don't call him Sand Man. Don't talk to him like he's just some goofy comedian. He's actually a really beautiful, wonderful actor.'' Sandler – who has previously earned critical acclaim for his dramatic roles, including 2002's 'Punch-Drunk Love,' 2019's 'Uncut Gems,' and 'Hustle' in 2022 – echoed the feelings of appreciation. 'My character loves George's character so much, and I thought that would be fun to do and easy to do with George,' Sandler said. The actors bond grew even more during filming according to Sandler. 'He invited my family everywhere, every place in Italy and England. Our trailers were next to each other,' he said of Clooney. 'His friends and my friends all hung out, shot hoops, threw the baseball around, talked about other movies we like, other comedians that have made us laugh, his upbringing, my upbringing.' 'Jay Kelly' is in select theaters November 14 and on Netflix on December 5. The trailer was released on Tuesday.

Cause of death for Ozzy Osbourne released: reports

(NEXSTAR) — Authorities in London have released the cause of death for Ozzy Osbourne, the legendary rocker who died 'surrounded by love' late last month. Osbourne, 76, died of a heart attack, according to a death certificate reviewed by The New York Times and other England-based outlets. Cardiac arrest and coronary artery disease were listed among the causes, and Osbourne's Parkinson's diagnosis was noted. Osbourne announced in 2020 that he had been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. Ozzy Osbourne honored as his hearse makes way through his hometown in England On July 22, Osbourne's family confirmed in a statement that the Black Sabbath founder had died that morning, 'with his family and surrounded by love.' Osbourne's wife of more than 40 years, Sharon, signed the statement, as did his children, Aimee, Kelly, Jack and Louis. In early July, Osbourne joined the original members of the Black Sabbath — Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward — for one final show in Birmingham, England. 'It's my time to go Back to the Beginning….time for me to give back to the place where I was born,' Osbourne said in a social media post in February. 'How blessed am I to do it with the help of people whom I love. Birmingham is the true home of metal. Birmingham Forever.' In 2023, Osbourne said his touring days had 'ended' due to spine damage he had suffered during an accident in 2019. That year, he canceled tour dates due to health problems, including a 'bad fall' in which he said he injured vertebrae in his neck. Osbourne was laid to rest on July 30. Thousands of Black Sabbath fans paid their respects as his hearse made its way through the streets of Birmingham, the English city where he grew up and where the band was formed in 1968. He is survived by Sharon and their three children — Kelly, Aimee and Jack — as well as his eldest son, Louis, from a previous marriage.
