Who will finish last in the AFC East in 2025?
According to most sportsbooks, that's set to continue as Buffalo remains the favorite to win the division next season. That would be the team's sixth-straight AFC East crown.
But it's never as cut and dry as that.
The Bills will have to handle their business in the division. The New England Patriots, New York Jets and Miami Dolphins will have their say in their of who wins the AFC East.
Flipping those odds on its head, who is the team that's most likely to finish in the basement of the division? Bleacher Report give their take.
Despite the Patriots and Jets hiring new coaching staffs led by Mike Vrabel and Aaron Glenn, respectively, B/R sees those teams hitting the ground running. Meanwhile, that's bad for Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel who is likely entering next year on the hot seat... especially in a scenario like this.

Even though the New England Patriots and New York Jets have new coaching staffs, which always brings a level of uncertainty, the Miami Dolphins have glaring question marks that could become flaws in a bottom-out year.
The Dolphins' pass defense is a significant concern, particular at cornerback.
Miami acquired three-time All-Pro Minkah Fitzpatrick from the Pittsburgh Steelers in the blockbuster trade that involved cornerback Jalen Ramsey and tight end Jonnu Smith. Fitzpatrick can play both safety positions and slot cornerback, but the secondary is vulnerable on the boundaries without clear-cut starters on the perimeter.
Edge-rushers Jaelan Phillips and Bradley Chubb are working their way back from significant injuries. The former partially tore his ACL last September, and the latter missed the 2024 season because of a torn ACL, meniscus and patellar tendon.
Defensive lineman Zach Sieler has recorded 10 sacks in back-to-back campaigns. As he's made a name for himself in the pass rush, though, opposing offensive linemen may double-team him until Chop Robinson consistently wins one-on-one matchups on the outside.
Tua Tagovailoa understands that he must protect himself in the pocket. The oft-injured quarterback has missed at least four games in four of five seasons. In 2023, he played in all 17 games and made the AFC Pro Bowl roster.
His availability could be the difference between a 10-win season and a team that finishes with a sub-.500 record in back-to-back years. Based on Tagovailoa's injury history, backup Zach Wilson could start in multiple games, and his poor accuracy (57 percent career completion rate) would hinder the Dolphins' aerial attack.
Miami finishes with seven or eight wins, and head coach Mike McDaniel's job security will come into question at the end of the campaign.

Following a 15-2 season that ended in ruins, which was a loss at home to the Washington Commanders in the NFC divisional round following a first-round bye, the Detroit Lions' coaching staff was raided. Among the outgoing faces was offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, who became the new head coach of the Chicago Bears. To replace Johnson, the Lions brought in Denver Broncos passing game coordinator John Morton to be their new offensive coordinator. One of Morton's top players, tight end Sam LaPorta, is a huge fan. "[Our offense] might be a little bit different. Fortunately, we kept a couple of our position coaches, specifically, our offensive line coach [Frank Haley]," LaPorta said about Detroit's new coaching staff in an interview on "The Jim Rome Show." "We promoted Hank Fraley to our run game coordinator. So, fortunate for me, we have the same run game system this year, the same verbiage, which, as you can imagine, is a lot. But Johnny Mo, pass game coordinator his entire life. Brilliant mind, I think he's gonna call the offense great." Prior to his two-year stint in Denver under head coach Sean Payton (2023-24), Morton was a senior offensive assistant with the Lions for the 2022 season. He held the same role with the Las Vegas Raiders from 2019-21 and was the offensive coordinator for the New York Jets in 2017, preceded by several other assistant coaching stints. As for LaPorta, a Pro Bowler in his 2023 rookie campaign, the tight end totaled 60 receptions for 726 yards and seven touchdowns last season. He ranked sixth among tight ends with a 79.1 receiving grade and 10th with a 73.8 overall grade, according to Pro Football Focus. Last season, Detroit's offense was arguably the best in the sport, as the Lions were first in the NFL with 33.2 points per game, second with both 263.2 passing yards and 409.5 total yards and sixth with 146.4 rushing yards. Five of Detroit's 11 offensive starters were initially invited to the 2025 Pro Bowl Games: quarterback Jared Goff, running back Jahmyr Gibbs, wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, tackle Penei Sewell and center Frank Ragnow. As for other departing coaches, the Lions lost defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn, who became the head coach of the New York Jets, while defensive line coach Terrell Williams left to be the defensive coordinator of the New England Patriots. Meanwhile, the Lions lost passing game coordinator Tanner Engstrand, who became the offensive coordinator for the Jets under Glenn, and wide receivers coach Antwaan Randle El and assistant quarterbacks coach J.T. Barrett each followed Johnson to the Bears. This will be Morton's second NFL offensive coordinator gig, previously holding the same role for the Jets in 2017. Jets guard named most underpaid player in the NFL at his position
The New York Jets exercised Alijah Vera-Tucker's fifth-year option last offseason. The No. 14 overall selection in the 2021 NFL draft has been a mainstay in the lineup throughout his rookie contract. Vera-Tucker was outstanding for the Jets last season, posting an overall Pro Football Focus grade of 77.7 while playing 916 snaps at right guard. The Bleacher Report recently wrote an article outlining the most underpaid players in the league at every position. With Vera-Tucker still technically on his rookie contract, B/R selected him as the most underpaid guard in the NFL heading into the new season. "Alijah Vera-Tucker lined up all over the offensive line during his time playing college ball at USC and has continued to display that versatility during his time in the pros," Alex Kay wrote. "The 26-year-old has adeptly answered the call regardless of where the New York Jets have slotted him, assigning him to both guard spots and right tackle at various points over his first four years in the league." Kay is correct. Vera-Tucker has played multiple positions throughout his five-year career with the Jets. He's slotted in especially nicely at right guard. "Because he has proved capable of holding his own just about anywhere in the offensive trenches, Vera-Tucker is one of the biggest values in football," Kay continued. "Vera-Tucker is due for a pay bump, but his salary could still remain a significant value going forward. Spotrac only expects the stud O-lineman to earn just $11 million per season on his next deal—a fantastic bargain if he can stay healthy after missing 25 games thus far." Five guards are currently earning $20 million (or more) per campaign. Vera-Tucker may not reach those heights, but the steady performer is due for a sizable pay-raise next offseason. The Jets should attempt to retain Vera-Tucker, but for now, they'll appreciate the team-friendly deal they're getting on his deal.

NFL world reacts to reignited Bill Belichick and Robert Kraft beef
Don't know what's nuttier, Robert Kraft and Bill Belichick's petty beefs, or Creepy Hood playing "punch buggy" online with his gf. All was quiet on the Bill Belichick and Robert Kraft front for a little while. It only took a Kraft appearance on a podcast hosted by New England Patriots greats Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman to pour gasoline on a fire that looked to be on the verge of going out. When appearing on Dudes on Dudes, the Patriots' owner noted that he took a "big risk" in hiring Belichick considering it cost the team a first-round draft pick for a coach who "won a little over 40 percent of his games in 1999." That obviously didn't sit right with the six-time Super Bowl-winning head coach, who issued a response via ESPN's Don Van Natta Jr. "As I told Robert multiple times through the years, I took a big risk by taking the New England Patriots head coaching job," Belichick said. "I already had an opportunity to be the Head Coach of the New York Jets, but the ownership situation was unstable." Belichick continued, "I had been warned by multiple previous Patriots' coaches, as well as other members of other NFL organizations and the media, that the New England job was going to come with many internal obstacles. I made it clear that we would have to change the way the team was managed to regain the previously attained success." Kraft moved on from Belichick in January 2024 after the Patriots suffered back-to-back losing seasons, including a 4-13 finish in 2023. The ending to a 24-year working relationship filled with as much success as Kraft and Belichick experienced wasn't ideal. However, both sides initially seemed to be moving in their own direction. Belichick is now serving as the head coach for the North Carolina Tar Heels, and Kraft has new hope for the future in New England after hiring Mike Vrabel as the new head coach.
