Sarah Jessica Parker has penned an emotional goodbye to Carrie Bradshaw after it was revealed that And Just Like That... is coming to an end.
The 60-year-old actress posted a clip montage of her character's best moments on Instagram after it was confirmed on Friday (01.08.25) that the Sex and the City sequel series will conclude later this month after three seasons.
Sarah - who first played the part of Carrie back in 1998 - captioned her post: "Carrie Bradshaw has dominated my professional heartbeat for 27 years. I think I have loved her most of all.
"I know others have loved her just as I have. Been frustrated, condemned and rooted for her. The symphony of all those emotions has been the greatest soundtrack and most consequential companion. Therefore the most sentimental and profound gratitude and lifetime of debt. To you all."
Sarah's co-star Kristin Davis, who plays Charlotte York Goldenblatt in the show, stated that she is "profoundly sad" that the HBO Max series is ending.
She wrote in her own Instagram post: "I am profoundly sad. I love our whole beautiful cast and crew. 400 artisans working so hard on our show with deep love. And to our loyal fans, we love you forever and ever."
Cynthia Nixon - who portrays Miranda Hobbes - added: "I can't believe our wild, beautiful And Just Like That... ride is almost over.
"It has been such a delight from start to finish. I will miss working with these people everyday SO incredibly much but know we will always be a part of each other's lives. Get ready for a lot more carousels in the weeks to come! And don't miss these last few episodes: surprises in store!"
Showrunner Michael Patrick King confirmed that the series will be ending on August 14 following the two-part finale to series three and explained that the team "held off" announcing the news as they didn't want to "overshadow the fun" for audiences watching the final season.
He said: "And just like that... the ongoing storytelling of the Sex and the City universe is coming to an end. While I was writing the last episode of And Just Like That... season three, it became clear to me that this might be a wonderful place to stop.
"Along with Sarah Jessica Parker, Casey Bloys and Sarah Aubrey, we decided to end the popular series this year with a two-part finale and extended the original series order from 10 episodes to 12.
"SJP and I held off announcing the news until now because we didn't want the word 'final' to overshadow the fun of watching the season. It's with great gratitude we thank all the viewers who have let these characters into their homes and their hearts over these many years."

Sarah Jessica Parker breaks ‘devastating' news for fans of iconic character and Sex And The City reboot

Sarah Jessica Parker is saying goodbye to her iconic character, Carrie Bradshaw. After the show's co-creator Michael Patrick King announced that And Just Like That wouldn't be returning for a fourth season, Parker took to Instagram to share a clip montage of her playing Bradshaw over the years along with a heartfelt poem to mark the end of the Sex And The City franchise. 'She has made the hardest, worst and best decisions. Travelled near and far for the new, the vintage, friends and love. Changed homes, time zones, boyfriends, her mind, her shoes, her hair, but never her love and devotion to New York City,' Parker wrote, referencing the character she's portrayed for over two decades on HBO's Sex And The City, And Just Like That and in two feature films. After noting her Carrie has 'hailed cabs', 'ran in heels', 'danced with Stanford' (played by late actor Willie Garson) and more, she then shouted out her Sex And The City co-stars Cynthia Nixon (Miranda), Kim Cattrall (Samantha), Kristin Davis (Charlotte), followed by Sarita Choudhury (Seema) and Nicole Ari Parker (LTW), who both starred on And Just Like That. 'Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte, there will never be better friends and what great fortune for Carrie to come to know and love Seema and LTW, most divine new connections,' she shared. Parker also shared what her legendary character has meant to her over the years. 'Carrie Bradshaw has dominated my professional heartbeat for 27 years. I think I have loved her most of all,' she continued. 'I know others have loved her just as I have. Been frustrated, condemned and rooted for her. The symphony of all those emotions has been the greatest soundtrack and most consequential companion.' Parker than began to conclude her message by saying that her and King 'recognised, as we have in the past, this chapter complete'. ''AJLT' was all joy, adventure, the greatest kind of hard work alongside the most extraordinary talent of 380 that includes all the brilliant actors who joined us. I am better for every single day I spent with you. It will be forever before I forget the whole thing,' she wrote, before adding a 'Thank you' to fans. 'I love you so. I hope you love these final two episodes as much as we all do,' she added. Fans were quick to flood the Hocus Pocus 2 star's post with supportive comments. 'This is so devastating and liberating at the same time,' one fan noted. Another added, 'I will love these characters forever. THANK YOU SJP' Meanwhile, Parker's co-star Davis also responded to the post, writing, 'Beautiful'. She later shared her own reaction to the ending of the series on Instagram, writing she was 'profoundly sad' about the news. 'I love our whole beautiful cast and crew. 400 artisans working so hard on our show with deep love. And to our loyal fans, we love you forever and ever.' she said. King announced that AJLT will be ending with a statement that was shared on the show's social media accounts on Friday. He noted that the series will conclude at the end of Season 3 with a two-part finale. 'SJP and I held off announcing the news until now because we didn't want the word 'final' to overshadow the fun of watching the season,' he wrote. 'It's with great gratitude we thank all the viewers who have let these characters into their homes and their hearts over these many years.'

Hulk Hogan didn't meet his grandchildren prior to his death

Hulk Hogan never met his grandchildren before his death. The wrestling legend passed away aged 71 last month after suffering a heart attack at his home in Florida and his son-in-law Steven Oleksy has revealed that Hulk showed "no interest" in meeting his estranged daughter Brooke's twins Oliver Andrew and Molly Gene when approached following their births in January. Former NHL player Oleksy told People: "I sent text messages once again to kind of gauge where he was at, but there was no interest." Oleksy explained how he and Brooke moved from Michigan to Florida to be closer to Hulk - whose real name was Terry Bollea - as he "was getting older" and suffering with his health. He said: "She was there for every surgery leading up to the last two years. She would fly down on her own dime, take care of her dad, and it just made a lot of sense. "No one understood his body, procedures, medications and everything else more than my wife." Oleksy explained that the family will remain in Florida following the WWE icon's passing as the state has grown to feel like "home" for them. The ex-ice hockey star said: "We've built a beautiful life here together." Brooke, 37, posted a lengthy tribute to her father on Instagram earlier this week and used her post to "clear a few things up" regarding the pair's estrangement. The realty star wrote: "It was a series of private phone calls no one will ever hear, know, or understand. My father was confiding in me about issues weighing on his heart, both personal and business. I offered to be a life raft in whatever capacity he needed. I told him he had my support. I begged him to rest, to take care of himself." Brooke - Hulk's eldest child from his marriage to first wife Linda Hogan - added: "We had been through almost 25 surgeries together, and then all of a sudden he didn't want me at surgeries…everything started getting covered in a thick veil. It was like there was a force field around him that I couldn't get through. (sic)" She explained how the pair's relationship ultimately collapsed due to a series of "respectful disagreements". Brooke said: "He was telling me these things, being so vulnerable with me and heard my pleas, then suddenly something shifted, and he made a choice to walk the path that clearly tore at his spirit. I felt a disconnect. What followed were respectful disagreements that took an emotional toll on me."
