As the Kansas City Chiefs powered through another strong NFL season, a curious off-field storyline from December 2024 captured both sports and pop culture fans: not a single Chiefs player named
Taylor Swift
as their most-streamed artist of the year. Given Swift's dominant global presence and her high-profile romance with star tight end
Travis Kelce
, this glaring omission felt like more than just coincidence — and it didn't go unnoticed by the Swiftie fandom.
No Taylor Swift in sight as Chiefs players reveal their top music picks
In a lighthearted TikTok video shared on the Chiefs' official account, several players opened up about their favorite artists of 2024. But while fans expected a few nods to Swift — who topped Spotify's global charts with The Tortured Poets Department — the reality was different.
Defensive tackle
Chris Jones
and veteran Mike Pennel chose NBA YoungBoy. Kareem Hunt picked Rod Wave. Creed Humphrey gave a surprising shoutout to Nashville rock band Kings of Leon.
Other popular picks included Kendrick Lamar, Lauryn Hill, Tems, Future, and Drake. Yet amid all this variety, the woman dating their teammate and headlining a record-breaking world tour didn't receive a single mention.
The TikTok video quickly went viral for all the wrong reasons. In the comment section, Swift's loyal fans let their disappointment be known. 'They didn't understand the assignment,' one fan wrote.

Others called out players' outdated or controversial choices — one even remarked, 'Chris Brown??? In 2024?? Woof.'
The most emotional reactions, however, came from fans wondering why Kelce himself wasn't interviewed. 'Where is our Travy for this question?' one user asked. Another commented, 'I'm personally insulted by the fact that Travis Kelce was not in this.'
While Kelce was absent from the team's video, he did acknowledge Swift's cultural impact during the December 11 episode of his New Heights podcast, co-hosted with brother Jason Kelce.
He gave a heartfelt shoutout to her record-shattering Eras Tour: 'Shout-out to Tay, and the unbelievable Eras Tour has finally come to an end... That thing was the best tour in the world because of a lot of people, but mostly because of Taylor.

In hindsight, this moment in December 2024 hinted at an interesting dynamic: while Kelce publicly supported Swift, the rest of the Chiefs' locker room seemed unmoved by her musical influence. Whether it was a case of differing music tastes or something deeper, the Swift-less Spotify Wrapped left fans buzzing — and speculating — about what really goes on behind the scenes in Kansas City.

Love Island Season 7 editing errors revealed

Love Island Season 7 is back. But the latest offering of the popular reality show seems to be catching more eyeballs for its editing slips rather than the steamy participants. Eagle-eyed viewers have been quick to spot multiple editing gaffes in the latest season and poke fun at them. Love Island USA Season 7 (Love Island USA) During episode 8 which aired on June 10, a noticeable slip appeared during a game of 'pucker or pie' in the Fiji Villa. Olandria Carthen stood in front of the audience and asked her fellow islanders, 'Which islander do you think is most likely to take a relationship to make it to the final?" In a hilarious yet awkward moment, the scene cuts to Carthen seated on the bleachers behind Cierra Ortega and Nic Vansteenberghe, reacting to the question with shock. Orange to blue New Islander Vanna Einderson was seen chatting with TJ Palma during a Casa Amor episode. The scene showed her starting the conversation with an orange cup in hand which promptly switches to a blue one mid-conversation. The much-anticipated Casa Amor twist kicked off on the show in the episode aired on June 23. Also read: Love Island USA: Huda and Chris make up with passionate kiss after pancake drama Bathing suit to bikini Carthen's stint with editing errors continued in a subsequent episode when her former beau Taylor Williams pulled her in for a conversation after being paired up with Clarke Carraway in the Casa Amor shift. The scene started with Carthen in a black bikini which instantly switched to a brown one-piece mid-scene with no explanation. Huda Mustafa's side-eye One of the major editing slips happened during a particular episode where Jeremiah Brown was seen bringing Iris Kendall and Andreina Santos breakfast in their dressing room, an action read as 'making a move' in the Love Island universe. The scene cuts to Brown's former flame Huda Mastafa making a side glance at the move. Many viewers pointed out gaps in this edit by claiming that Mustafa wasn't even present in the room for this to happen. As per USA Today, a team of 30 editors and 20 producers (as of 2024) is responsible for making sure that the 24-hour-long footage recorded at the villa gets cut and parceled into an hour-long episode by the next evening. Also read: 'Love Island USA' voting now open: Here's how to vote for your favorite contestant "A lot of people look at conversations and they seem a little bit cut up or they seem very short. You're only seeing two to three minutes of maybe like two to three hour long conversations," explained Season 5 cast member Johnny Garcia in a TikTok posted on June 19. "So just remember that. It's easy to cut thing up, and it's easy to make things look a certain way." The show also makes use of opaque cups to avoid visible continuity errors that might be spotted with the liquid levels in transparent glasses. New episodes of Love Island Season 7 are released daily (except Wednesdays) at 9 PM ET on Peacock. By Stuti Gupta

Taylor Swift secretly hijacked Travis Kelce's Tight End University event, and he couldn't be happier

Travis Kelce gushes over Taylor Swift's surprise performance at Nashville event (Image via X) What began as a lighthearted evening at Tight Ends & Friends, a musical celebration capping off Tight End University in Nashville, quickly turned into an unforgettable moment when Taylor Swift stole the show in true superstar fashion. The surprise wasn't advertised, it wasn't teased—it was secretly orchestrated behind the scenes, and Travis Kelce couldn't have been prouder. Travis Kelce reveals how Taylor Swift secretly planned her surprise appearance at Tight End University event The Kansas City Chiefs star tight end, one of the co-founders of Tight End University alongside George Kittle and Greg Olsen, had quietly been planning something special. With Swift already attending the three-day summit, it was only natural for her to lend some of her charm to the event. But no one expected her to hijack the spotlight in such an electrifying way. The "Tight Ends & Friends" event, hosted by former Titans players Taylor Lewan and Will Compton of the "Bussin' With the Boys" podcast, had promised musical appearances from Jordan Davis, Sophia Scott, and country music star Kane Brown. But when Swift jumped on stage unannounced and belted out her chart-topping hit 'Shake It Off,' the venue erupted—and so did social media. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Is it better to shower in the morning or at night? 'We're in Nashville—she grew up in Nashville... and yeah, we had this planned for a while,' he admitted. 'We were going to have some fun with the tight ends, especially Tight Ends & Friends and all the evening events.' According to Kelce, Swift casually approached Kane Brown and his band backstage and proposed, 'Hey, if you guys are down, I'll go up there, play a song and see if we can pop the roof off this place.' She didn't overthink it. She didn't rehearse. She just delivered. 'And sure enough, she's so good with everybody, just people and making people feel comfortable and absolutely rocked the stage, yet again,' Kelce added, visibly impressed. He also gave fans a peek behind the curtain, revealing how dedicated Swift was, even for an impromptu set. 'She was in the back doing musical notes, like, sheets of music,' he explained. 'And then just went out there without practicing and was pitch-perfect and just killed it.' The internet quickly responded with admiration, not just for Swift's surprise performance, but for Kelce's unwavering support. Fans loved how the NFL star never misses a chance to sing her praises, proving once again that theirs is a partnership rooted in admiration—and a shared flair for unforgettable moments. 'All your fans are 14-year-old girls': Tom Brady disrespects Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift with ruthless roast that enrages Swifties

Tom Brady mocked Chiefs and Taylor Swift's fans (Getty Images) Before the 2024 NFL season ended in yet another Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl celebration, Tom Brady grabbed headlines with a mic drop moment of his own—at his own expense. During The Roast of Tom Brady on Netflix in May 2024, the seven-time Super Bowl champion turned his retirement party into a verbal warzone, and no one was spared—including Taylor Swift , Travis Kelce , and an entire generation of Swiftie Chiefs fans. Tom Brady mocked the Chiefs and their fanbase in one brutal punchline Tom Brady, never one to back down from competition, went for the jugular early in the special. Aiming directly at the NFL's new power couple, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, Brady mocked Arrowhead Stadium's famously loud crowd, saying, 'Kansas City, you say your stadium is the loudest. It helps when all your fans are 14-year-old girls.' The comment—clearly targeting the pop megastar's loyal teenage fanbase—had the audience in stitches and the internet on fire. It was Brady at his sharpest, weaponizing his dry delivery to throw shade at what some see as the "Taylor Swift effect" on the NFL. The 'Eras' jab that blended football with pop culture burns But Brady wasn't done. Channeling Swift's Eras Tour, which dominated 2024, he delivered a clever, cutting line: 'In honor of Tay Tay, let's take a look at the Chiefs' eras: Terrible for 50 years, good for five. Shake it off.' It was a slick reference to both the Chiefs' long history of mediocrity and Swift's 2014 hit song—another jab that drew laughter and controversy alike. While Kelce, who helped lead the Chiefs to Super Bowl victories in 2020, 2023, and 2024, wasn't present on stage, the dig didn't go unnoticed by fans. Many saw it as Brady reclaiming the spotlight with humor, showing that even off the field, he can still outplay his rivals. The roast didn't stop with the Swift-Kelce clan. Brady also took aim at Kim Kardashian, quipping, 'I know Kim was terrified to be here tonight. Not because of this but because her kids are at home with their dad.' It was a sharp reference to her ex-husband Kanye West, whose public meltdowns had been dominating headlines. Still, his jabs—especially the one at Kansas City's new Swiftie fandom—proved that even in retirement, Tom Brady knows how to own the moment.
