As the fan slumped backward in his seat, a second man approached and delivered a kick directly to his head. Officers arrested two men in their mid-20s, one facing a felony assault charge and the other booked for misdemeanor assault. Authorities have not released their names. The victim declined to be taken to the hospital at the time, and it remains unclear if he sought treatment later. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Villas For Sale in Dubai Might Surprise You Dubai villas | search ads Get Deals Undo The brawl shocked onlookers, and tensions flared elsewhere in the stadium. Michael Porter Jr draws Kanye West comparison from ex-NBA player over outspoken personal interviews

Michael Porter Jr. Image via: Ron Chenoy/ Imagn Images Brooklyn Nets forward Michael Porter Jr. has made headlines this summer for reasons that have little to do with basketball. After his move from the Denver Nuggets, Porter Jr. has been unusually candid in interviews, offering blunt takes on topics ranging from dating in the league to sports gambling and the education system. His recent interview discussing his dating life and association with women has now earned him a comparison to one of pop culture's most unapologetic figures, Kanye West . Former NBA star Evan Turner instantly compared Michael to West. Michael Porter Jr gets a Kanye West comparison from Evan Turner It was former NBA player Evan Turner who made the connection, posting on social media, 'Putting a microphone in front of MPJ is like putting one in front of 'YE. Y'all need to stop.' Kanye West's interviews are notorious for their unrestrained honesty, and Turner's comment suggested Porter shares that same 'say anything' energy. — thekidet (@thekidet) Turner isn't alone in his criticism. Channing Frye, another former player, has publicly said Porter's PR team should pull him back from the media circuit altogether. On the One Night with Steiny podcast, Porter suggested the NBA's gambling landscape made it possible for players to tank games for personal gain. He also discussed his brother Jontay Porter's betting scandal, framing it as a product of financial desperation. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Mountain Gear for Extreme Conditions Trek Kit India Learn More Undo In another interview, he declared he wouldn't send his children to public school, quipping that they might 'come home identifying as a cat.' Perhaps most divisive were his dating remarks. Porter openly stated he avoids dating women with past relationships in the NBA, explaining, 'If she's ever been with somebody that I know I'm cool with, I'm not about to ever wife you… I'm not trying to be on the court, and I give you a bucket or something, and you're talking about 'that's why I hit your girl.'' Michael Porter Jr is set for his brand new season with the Brooklyn Nets While Porter's bluntness has sparked debate, his basketball responsibilities are about to grow. After averaging 18.2 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 2.1 assists last season as Denver's third scoring option, he now steps into a lead role with the Nets. Brooklyn is counting on him to anchor their offense and potentially contend for a scoring title if he stays focused. But with media attention increasingly centered on his off-court statements, there's a looming question of whether his performance will match his confidence. Cincinnati Open: Jannik Sinner annihilates Felix Auger-Aliassime to reach semi-finals

Italy's Jannik Sinner (AP Photo/Kin Cheung) World number one Jannik Sinner continued his dominant hardcourt run by defeating Felix Auger-Aliassime 6-0, 6-2 in the ATP-WTA Cincinnati Open quarter-finals on Thursday, marking his 25th consecutive hardcourt match victory. The Italian champion, who turns 24 on Saturday, dispatched his opponent in just 71 minutes to secure his eighth straight win at this event and 30th victory of the season. Sinner, competing in his first tournament since winning Wimbledon, will face either French qualifier Terence Atmane or Danish seventh seed Holger Rune in the semifinals. Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW! "I felt great on the court today, you could see that," Sinner said. "But every day can be different. Let's see what I can do in the semis." "I served well today, that was the key for me," Sinner added. "I had a small drop in the second set and I'm happy that I broke back. He moves and serves well, he's difficult to play." Auger-Aliassime struggled throughout the match, losing the first set in under 30 minutes with three double-faults in the final game. Despite breaking Sinner's serve early in the second set, he ultimately succumbed with his eighth double fault on match point. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Florida Introduces New Benefit For "Senior Drivers" Smart Lifestyle Trends Learn More Undo Fifth-seeded Ben Shelton advanced to the quarter-finals by defeating Jiri Lehecka 6-4, 6-4, securing the victory with back-to-back aces. "I'm hungry, I'm in a good rhythm and the body feels good," said Shelton, who will next face third-seeded Alexander Zverev, who has won all three of their previous encounters. Poll Will Jannik Sinner win the Cincinnati Open? Yes No In women's action, second-seeded Coco Gauff progressed to the quarter-finals with a 6-2, 6-4 victory over Lucia Bronzetti. "I could have maybe made some more first serves in that second set, but overall, I had a lot of aces and unreturnables," said Gauff, the 2023 Cincinnati and US Open champion. "I'm happy considering where (my serve) was last week. I'm always trying to get better, but also just trying to take the little wins along the way." "I'm just trying to be happy with where I'm at now, but still doing the things I need to do to improve," Gauff added. The American star secured her quarter-final spot by breaking Bronzetti's serve in the final game, as the 61st-ranked Italian hit long after 79 minutes of play. Gauff will face seventh seed Jasmine Paolini, who defeated 2024 Wimbledon champion Barbora Krejcikova 6-1, 6-2. Krejcikova received treatment for a left foot issue during the second set, which visibly affected her movement. "She's a great player and can do anything she wants with the ball," Paolini said. "But I don't think she was at 100% today." Paolini, who reached both the Roland Garros and Wimbledon finals in 2024, dominated the match by winning seven consecutive games to build a 4-0 lead in the second set. The quarter-final matchup against Gauff will be their second meeting in Cincinnati, with Gauff having won their previous encounter two years ago en route to her title.
