Mauro Icardi 'could be entitled to divorce SUPPORT' from Wanda Nara if 'cheating' accusations are true - despite earning £5m per year!

Daily Mail29-05-2025

Top striker Mauro Icardi could reportedly be entitled to financial support from his wife after their impending divorce - despite earning an estimated £5million per year.
The Galatasaray star is going through divorce proceedings with his high-profile spouse Wanda Nara, an Argentinian model and presenter with whom he has two kids.
Icardi has accused Nara of infidelity, an allegation which could lead to her having to pay alimony if it is proven to have led to their divorce.
The 32-year-old says Nara cheated on him with Argentinian singer L-Gante and former team-mates Federico Fazio and Keita Balde - the latter has even admitted to having the affair.
Nara has denied knowing Fazio, has not addressed the Balde situation, and is open about her former relationship with L-Gante, which came amid an informal split from Icardi.
According to journalist Gustavo Méndez, via MinutoUno, Nara's alleged infidelity could lead to a financial penalty.
'What they're telling me is that, if adultery is confirmed, and Mauro Icardi is very certain that it will happen, Wanda will have to support Mauro Icardi until he remarries. According to the Italian courts. This is the information I just received,' Mendez told Mujeres Argentinas.
'If adultery is confirmed, Wanda will have to financially support Icardi until he remarries.
Lawyer Mariana Gallego added: 'Adultery has direct consequences for alimony. The guilty party is the one who must support the innocent spouse, something similar to what happened in Argentina before 2015.'
Nara is not the only one to start another relationship while still being married - Icardi has done the same.
After their split, Icardi began his own romance with actress and model China Suarez, who he allegedly cheated on Nara with while they were still together.
Icardi and Nara married in May 2014, and their relationship rarely made it out of the headlines as they underwent multiple separations.
However, In July, Nara, a model and TV host who also acted as Icardi's agent, revealed that the pair had finally ended their tumultuous 10-year romance for good, reportedly filing for divorce around the same time.
She told America TV: 'For personal and health reasons, I tried once more, but it didn't work. Let everyone talk. I've saved my silence for the last.
'I know how hard endings are and what they cost. There are things on TV and the internet that aren't true, but I accept it as part of the bad and who I am.
'I decided to end it, but Mauro and I will still be a family. It wasn't a mistake to try more when there was love. I regret nothing; these years were the best of my life, but now I must be alone.
'There is no villain or third party; our relationship was always stronger than it seemed from the outside. My priority has always been my children, and now more than ever. Thank you for your respect.'
This was not the first time that Nara has claimed her marriage to Icardi is over. She made the same statement in September 2022, and had a brief relationship with L-Gante amid that split, but they ended up reconciling.
Icardi also wrote an emotional message to his wife the previous year after Nara took him back following cheating accusations made against the forward.
On the Argentine TV show LAM, Nara revealed Icardi vowed to 'destroy' her when she asked for a divorce, as she claimed he had now bought her dream house - a $4m (£3.3m) mansion in Argentina that she had planned to share with Icardi when he retired - for him and Suarez to live in.
'Seeing this woman uploading photos in the house I dreamed of for my daughters breaks my soul,' Nara said.
'That house is mine because Mauro bought it when we were married. In Argentina there is no division of property. That house will be my daughters' and mine too. This is not a separation, it is a constant provocation.'
The pair have tried to put on a united front over the years, regularly posting pictures of themselves together on Instagram.
Former Italy defender Daniele Adani once claimed the couple have sex up to 12 times a day during an appearance on Christian Vieiri's Twitch channel, and they have pushed the boundaries by sharing rather revealing material online.

Shot Colombian presidential candidate needs ‘miracle' to survive, doctors say

Miguel Uribe Turbay, the rightwing Colombian presidential candidate who was shot at a campaign rally, has reportedly shown 'little response' to medical interventions and needs 'a miracle' to survive, doctors said on Monday. The update on his condition comes as a judge confirmed the arrest of the 15-year-old suspect, after the prosecutor's office submitted 129 videos, witness testimonies and the seizure of a pistol as evidence. Uribe is a 39-year-old senator from the opposition Centro Democrático party, and in the running to join next year's presidential race. Footage showed him speaking to a small crowd in a park on Saturday, before shots rang out. Uribe was then pictured slumped against the bonnet of a blood-stained white car. Authorities later confirmed he had been shot twice. Uribe underwent major surgery over the weekend, which was initially deemed a success, but early on Monday the hospital said he had shown 'little response to the medical interventions'. 'His condition is extremely serious,' medical director Adolfo Llinás Volpe said. His wife, María Claudia Tarazona, asked for prayers on Monday morning and said 'Miguel needs a miracle'. The 15-year-old suspect was arrested at the scene minutes after the attack, during which he reportedly shouted: 'I did it for money for my family.' Police on Monday revealed that the 9mm pistol the suspect was carrying had been purchased legally in Arizona in 2020. The suspect was also injured during the attack and so has yet to be questioned; a security cordon has been set up around the hospital where he is undergoing treatment. He is expected to be charged with attempted murder and illegal possession of a weapon. Uribe hails from one of Colombia's most prominent political families; he is the grandson of former president Julio César Turbay Ayala (1978-82) and the son of journalist Diana Turbay, who was kidnapped by Pablo Escobar's Medellín cartel and killed during a botched rescue operation in 1991. A Harvard graduate, former Bogotá city councillor and outspoken critic of president Gustavo Petro, Uribe last year announced his presidential bid from the spot where his mother was killed. 'I could have grown up seeking revenge, but I decided to do the right thing: forgive, but never forget,' he said. Petro condemned Saturday's attack and said 'we cannot rule out any hypothesis'. Criminal groups in Colombia have often used minors to carry out killings. Colombia's defence minister has offered a 3bn peso (£540,000) reward for information leading to the identification and capture of those responsible for the attack, while the government has ordered increased security for all presidential candidates.

Colombian presidential hopeful in critical condition after assassination attempt

Miguel Uribe, a conservative Colombian presidential hopeful, was in a critical condition on Monday after being shot in the head from close range during a rally at the weekend. In a statement, doctors said the 39-year-old senator had 'barely' responded to medical interventions, which included brain surgery, following the assassination attempt that has had a chilling effect on the South American nation. Some carried rosaries in their hands, while others chanted slogans against President Gustavo Petro. 'This is terrible,' said Walter Jimenez, a lawyer who showed up outside the hospital, with a sign calling for Mr Petro's removal. Advertisement 'It feels like we are going back to the 1990s,' he said, referring to a decade during which drug cartels and rebel groups murdered judges, presidential candidates and journalists with impunity. Mr Petro has condemned the attack and urged his opponents not to use it for political ends. But some Colombians have also asked the president to tone down his rhetoric against opposition leaders. The assassination attempt has stunned the nation, with many politicians describing it as the latest sign of how security has deteriorated in Colombia, where the government is struggling to control violence in rural and urban areas, despite a 2016 peace deal with the nation's largest rebel group. Advertisement The attack on Mr Uribe comes amid growing animosity between Mr Petro and the senate over blocked reforms to the nation's labour laws. Nuns arrive to the clinic where Colombian senator Miguel Uribe Turbay is being treated (Ivan Valencia/AP) Mr Petro has organised protests in favour of the reforms, where he has delivered fiery speeches referring to opposition leaders as 'oligarchs' and 'enemies of the people'. 'There is no way to argue that the president… who describes his opponents as enemies of the people, paramilitaries and assassins has no responsibility in this,' Andres Mejia, a prominent political analyst, wrote on X. The attorney general's office said a 15-year-old boy was arrested at the scene of the attack against Mr Uribe. Advertisement Videos captured on social media show a suspect shooting at Mr Uribe from close range. The suspect was injured in the leg and was recovering at another clinic, authorities said. Defence minister Pedro Sanchez added that over 100 officers are investigating the attack. On Monday, Colombia's attorney general Luz Adriana Camargo said that minors in Colombia face sentences of up to eight years in detention for committing murders. Advertisement Ms Camargo acknowledged that lenient sentences have encouraged armed groups to recruit minors to commit crimes. However, she said that Colombian law also considers that minors who are recruited by armed groups are victims, and is trying to protect them. 'As a society we need to reflect on why a minor is getting caught up in a network of assassins, and what we can do to stop this from happening in the future,' she said.
