'Miss you so much': Linda Hogan pays birthday tribute to late ex-husband Hulk Hogan
The 65-year-old star posted a photo of herself with the wrestling legend - whose real name was Terry Bollea - in 1981 on Monday (11.08.25) following his tragic death last month after he suffered a heart attack at his home in Florida.
Linda captioned the picture: "Me and Hulkster... 1981 Happy Birthday Terry. I love and miss you so much..."
The TV personality and Hulk split in 2007 but she admitted that she was "devastated" when she paid tribute to her former husband in the days following his death.
Linda - who has daughter Brooke, 37, and son Nick, 35, wrote in a comment on her Instagram post: "I had no idea he would pass away this soon.
"We all really thought he would make a come back! Big surprise. We are all devastated. It's hitting me so hard."
Linda revealed that she and the WWE legend were not on speaking terms when he died and explained that their son would "tell me things and vice versa".
She said: "I still felt... although broken... we still were a family. It's so hard to know he's just gone. I tried to stay strong for Nick... but I'm melting down now. It's very sad. I love you Hulkster. You were my man. The only man for me. RIP."
Linda was among the mourners at Hulk's funeral service in Florida last week, although Brooke chose not to attend to "honour" her father - who "hated the morbidity" of funerals.
She penned on Instagram: "My father hated the morbidity of funerals. He didn't want one.
"And although I know people grieve in many ways - and I'm so grateful for all the celebrations and events organised to honour him - as his daughter, I had to make my own decision to honour him the best and most genuine way I knew how... privately... the way that made me feel the closest to him."
Brooke had a strained relationship with her father prior to his death and her husband Steven Oleksy revealed that Hulk had shown "no interest" in meeting his grandchildren Andrew and Molly following the birth of the twins in January.
Former NHL player Oleksy told People: "I sent text messages once again to kind of gauge where he was at, but there was no interest."

Or at least get back joint custody'. Kelley ultimately shared her allegations against Wolf on a phone call with police on June 26, according to the outlet. 'Although her claims are completely baseless and incredibly dangerous, the worst part is that they are traumatic for our children,' the 57-year-old continued in his message. In text messages, Kelley alleged she 'was advised to make claims that are possible, even though I do not believe they're true'. 'I hope that anyone who might speak publicly or report on such things, will consider this before spreading any further information from a clearly unreliable and completely compromised source.' He closed, asking for 'privacy and respect for our family' and thanked 'all those who have shown their love and support'. A representative for Kelley did not immediately respond to Page Six's request for comment. As some may recall, Kelley was shockingly detained and hospitalised after police were called to the Wolf family's Park City, Utah, home in June after a reported 'family fight'. An audio recording of the 911 call showed an unidentified woman claiming she was 'terrified' and 'needed help' after getting into an altercation with her brother-in-law and 16-year-old son. Wolf with his Party of Five cast mates Neve Campbell, Matthew Fox and Lacey Chabert. At the time, someone at the scene also mentioned an alleged 'past-occurred assault' choking incident that purportedly took place at their home in March. The scene transpired shortly after Scott filed for divorce on June 10. After his filing, Kelley later made another bombshell claim on social media that she was 'held against her will' by her former friends while she was 'trying to file for divorce.' Later that month, Scott was granted sole custody of their three children — Jackson, 16, Miller, 12, and Lucy, 11 — and a temporary restraining order against his estranged wife which he later dropped after they reached a new temporary agreement detailing custody, finances and communication. Jennifer Holland has 'very little' work-life balance in marriage to DC chief James Gunn
Jennifer Holland admits there isn't much work-life balance in her marriage to DC boss James Gunn. The 37-year-old actress reprises her role as Emilia Harcourt in the second season of her husband's TV show Peacemaker and says that her spouse's responsibilities at the studio can be all-consuming. Jennifer told People: "I've not been, in any way, upset or judgemental with James, but I know that his number one focus right now at this time in his life has been taking on this opportunity that he has at DC with 100 per cent full force. "I think he's doing that with just every ounce of his being, and he wants to make sure that it's everything that the fans could hope for." Jennifer explained how James, 59, is doing his best to put the wishes of the fans first with his stewardship of DC alongside Peter Safran but knows that he is "always going to disappoint some people". She said: "But if anyone could get a little piece of an insider view of what it's like, he just wants to do the characters justice, and he just wants to give it what it deserves for all of these people who've lived with these characters in these comics that they've been reading (and) the characters that the created in their brains and everything. "He's very committed to making it the best that he's able to make it." Holland stars alongside John Cena in Peacemaker and is very complimentary of the WWE legend, who plays the titular character in the series. She said: "We're all just doing our best to service the story, and so it was just an incredible experience, "I couldn't have asked for a better, more professional partner than John in this whole ride from season one to season two, honestly." James and Jennifer got married in 2022 in Aspen, Colorado, with the ceremony attended by guests including Guardians of the Galaxy stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana and Karen Gillan and interrupted by a moose. The filmmaker wrote on X - then known as Twitter - at the time: "This weekend I was lucky enough to marry my best friend the love of my life, @jennlholland. "We got married here in Aspen, Colorado at Dunbar Ranch. A moose interrupted the beginning of the ceremony! For those who don't know, moose are the most dangerous wild mammals in North America. A young skater caught in a police crackdown is back in the spotlight, 50 years later
For Jean Hopcraft, this was all quite familiar. The interview, the camera crew and the questions about the rollerskates. The 69-year-old has been living a quiet and hidden life in Melbourne's inner suburbs. But in the late 1970s, she was turning heads. Almost 50 years later, her dormant fame has returned after an old video of her went viral. Over the past few weeks, more than a million people have watched a social media post showing a young Jean rollerskating through Melbourne. While many dream of having the kind of fame brought on by the likes of TikTok and Instagram, Jean was not after that at all. "It's bizarre that they've clicked on it," she said. "Who would have thought anybody would be interested in somebody on rollerskates from all those years ago?" Rolling to fame In 1977, ABC reporter Terry McMahon interviewed a young woman who was quite popular on the city streets of Melbourne. She travelled around on rollerskates despite an active police crackdown that saw officers confiscating them from those they caught. Skateboards and rollerskates were regarded as a public nuisance at that time. Jean was 21 when she was interviewed about her rollerskating by the ABC in the late 1970s. ( ABC archive ) Jean was a 21-year-old college student whose studies and work revolved around the CBD, and a pair of rollerskates was her chosen mode of transport for 14 years. With worn-out skates strapped onto the feet and her best outfit on, she zoomed past pedestrians, catching attention as she glided. McMahon: What about when you're out on the street? Do people stare? Jean Hopcraft: Yeah, they stare most of the time, but I don't take any notice of them. McMahon: What about police? Jean Hopcraft: No problems. Few years ago, with the skateboards, they clamped down, told me to take them off. But I put them on when I got around the corner … I won't give them away yet. Looking back, she never expected her playful antics to turn her into a public figure. "There was quite a bit of press because I [skated] for a long time, so they were very familiar with this girl just skating around the city," Jean said. "Little snippets in the paper … newspapers reaching out to me. "I just became part of the fabric of Melbourne." This was the first time Jean watched the TV story produced by the ABC in 1977. ( ABC News: Danielle Bonica ) About the same time, Jean also featured on a daytime current affairs television program presented by Mickie de Stoop, which featured stories of pioneering women. Yet underneath the energetic but nonchalant persona portrayed in printed columns and black-and-white photographs, Jean faced significant societal drawbacks. Not fitting the mould The 1970s were a very different time for women. It was a period when career options were slim and freedom of expression, especially by clothing, could be frowned upon. "I actually wanted to be a painter, a decorator like my dad but, in those days, women weren't allowed to do those sorts of jobs," Jean said. "It was deemed not suitable for women." (Supplied) Instead, she studied fashion and textile at the Emily McPherson College, which was known for its cookery and dressmaking courses. Even within university walls, Jean didn't always stick to the status quo. The queer community was her clique, and she wasn't afraid to break a few college rules — including the skating. "I guess you'd call me a freak … because I didn't fit the mould," Jean said. "Women couldn't wear trousers way back then. We had to get a petition together to see if women could wear pants and trousers. "I got pulled over at school and almost expelled because they didn't like the idea of a woman skating. "I stood up for what I believed." 'Classic Jean' Over the phone from New York, Jean and her husband Peter Hoyland's daughter, Eliza Hoyland, wasn't surprised about her mother's sudden return to stardom back home. "She's a very interesting person, my mum," Eliza said. The ABC post was the first time Eliza found out her mother had ever been interviewed by the news outlet. "I'm watching and I'm like, 'What in the world is this?'" "I think I watched it like 20 times in a row." Eliza Hoyland said she is in awe of Jean, who she thinks is the "best mum ever". ( Supplied: Eliza Hoyland ) For Eliza, a huge chunk of her mum's youth has been like scattered puzzle pieces waiting to be put together. She said Jean had always assured the family that "there'll be nothing about her" on the internet. "I googled her and this photo of her came up in her rollerblading look, and she's in this leopard skin suit," she said. "My mum is very private and very timid, but then she has this huge life that [Dad and I] are always trying to creep in [on]." One of Eliza's absolute joys was watching Jean rollerskate during a birthday celebration in 2023. In 2023, Jean put her rollerskates back on in a rink in New York. ( Supplied: Eliza Hoyland ) At the Rockefeller Center, the rollerskater flaunted her self-taught skills like she never left the rink. For Jean, it was all muscle memory. "She was zooming around the rink and doing laps on my friends and like, 'Get out of the way!'" Eliza recalled. "It's classic Jean. She's an icon." Peter Hoyland said he's met strangers who recognise Jean from the viral clip. ( ABC News: Danielle Bonica ) Peter Hoyland, whose career in the music industry has introduced him to several notable artists, said it had been "fun" and "fantastic" to meet people buzzing about his wife's renewed popularity. "I said, "Now you're the most famous person that I know,'" Peter said. A friend even warned the couple about the possibility of Jean becoming an internet meme. "Yes, I'm waiting for that," Peter said. Jean Hopcraft enjoys reading books and gardening in her inner Melbourne home. ( ABC News: Danielle Bonica ) Jean will soon turn 70 and is now living a quieter life, enjoying her retirement. She gardens, travels to the US to visit her daughter, and reminisces about her earlier days on her trusty skates. "I didn't care," she said. "I couldn't afford a car. I had my own ideas of what was right and wrong." Always in awe of her mother and the hidden stories of her past, Eliza described Jean as a "wonderful human" with an amazing story waiting to be told. "She's always going to be standing up for herself and the people around her," she said. "I was just like, 'You haven't changed a bit. Yes, you might only wear black now, but you really are exactly the same.'"
