‘My Biggest Support': Shakun Batra's Shoutout To Kayoze Irani For Sarzameen
Kayoze Irani, son of actor Boman Irani, recently marked his directorial debut with the action drama film, Sarzameen. Featuring Ibrahim Ali Khan, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Kajol in the leads, the film opened to decent reviews from fans and critics alike. As it continues its OTT journey on JioHostar, now director Shakun Batra has given a special shoutout to Kayoze while recalling how he was his 'biggest support' during the initial days.

Taking to Instagram, Batra re-shared the debutant director's post on his stories and penned a heartfelt note. He recalled the time Kayoze was his biggest support during the making of his debut film Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu.
Batra wrote, 'Here's the man who was my biggest support on my first film and his first film is out now. Go watch! #Sarzameeonjiohotstar."
Kayoze Irani Completed His 'Mannat' After 15 Years:
The 37-year-old recently dropped a string of pictures wherein he is seen seeking blessings at the popular Mount Mary Church in Mumbai along with his friend and film producer Marijke D'Souza.
Sharing the post, he recalled the time when, after the screening of Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, 15 years ago, both of them arrived at the same place to seek blessings and D'Souza had promised her to bring Kayoze back to the church when his first film would release.
'15 years ago, after the screening of Shakun Batra's Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu. We went to Mount Mary to seek blessings. I turned to our producer, Marijke D'souza and asked. 'Do you ever think I will make a film. She said yes you will. And not only that. The night of your screening. I take a Mannat that I will bring you to Mount Mary to seek blessings. Today we completed our 15-year Mannat," he wrote in the caption.

Backed by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, the film revolves around an Indian Army officer, Colonel Vijay Menon. He's tasked with fighting terrorism in Kashmir but faces a personal crisis when his son, Harman, is kidnapped by militants led by Mohsin.
Vijay, who is dedicated to his country, makes the difficult decision to prioritise his duty over his son's release. This decision has far-reaching consequences for the family. Eight years later, Harman (Ibrahim Ali Khan) reappears, seemingly radicalised and posing as a threat to his father.
