Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], August 13 (ANI): Renowned singers Sonu Nigam and Shaan are all set to perform live for a Janmashtami special on OTT. Excited about it, Sonu in a press note, shared his fond memories associated with the Hindu festival. 'Janmashtami has always been a pious and prayerful event in our house. I have fond memories of my childhood from both Mumbai and Delhi, each has its own distinct way of celebrating the occasion.. My son,now a big boy, loved dressing up as Krishna when he was a toddler. My sisters wish me a happy birthday every year for they playfully call me Krishna of our house. In fact my father was born on Janmashtami so we wish him a happy birthday too," he expressed. 'Janmashtami LIVE: The World Celebrates Krishna' will be streamed on JioHotstar. Shaan also expressed his happiness about performing live on the special occasion of Janmasthami. 'The personality of Lord Krishna has always fascinated me most among all deities. Every chapter of his life, from infancy to and the supreme Guru, from the mischievous to the Masterfull, He underplayed his power, unless compelled to, and yet never succumbed to adharmaa or 'the wrong path'. He was always a team player who led with wisdom and charm. As a kid, I was always so intrigued and excited about Dahi Handi, but could never participate. Turtle Walker to be screened at film festival in Kerala
New Delhi [India], August 13 (ANI): Award-winning documentary 'Turtle Walker', directed by Taira Malaney, is all set to be screened at the 17th International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala (IDSFFK) about the film's premiere, Taira, in a press note, said, 'I have been waiting for the day we premiere Turtle Walker in India, and the International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala feels just so apt for our very first screening. Satish grew up on Vypin Island, Kochi. This is where he discovered a fascination for the sea as a young child, and where giant leatherback turtles were once found to nest. We look forward to bringing this deeply personal story of wonder and resilience to audiences across India."'Turtle Walker' follows the story of Satish Bhaskar, a sea turtle conservationist who spent decades studying and protecting endangered turtles along India's coast and islands. Starting in the late 1970s, Bhaskar travelled across remote areas to document turtle nesting sites and understand their behaviour. His efforts helped bring attention to marine life conservation in film had its world premiere at the Doc NYC festival in 2024 and has since won several awards, including the Grand Teton Award at the Jackson Wild Media Awards — one of the highest honours in nature filmmaking. It also received recognition at other international festivals such as the Blue Water Film Festival, the International Ocean Film Festival, and Santiago documentary film 'Turtle Walker' is co-produced by Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti's production company, Tiger Baby, along with Emaho Films.'Turtle Walker is a story of an extraordinary man, Satish Bhaskar, and his quiet devotion to sea turtle conservation.
