MERSING, April 29 (Bernama) -- Mersing has been selected as the second destination for the Jelajah Bandar Bersih Johor 2030, a strategic initiative by the state government, in collaboration with the Solid Waste Management and Public Cleansing Corporation (SWCorp) and local authorities (PBTs), to promote a culture of cleanliness and environmental sustainability.
SWCorp chief executive officer Khalid Mohamed said that the roadshow aims to cover 15 locations across Johor by 2026, in line with the goal of transforming cities in Johor into clean cities by 2030.
He said this at the launch of the 'Jelajah Bandar Bersih Johor: Anda di Hati Kami' logo today, symbolising an inclusive approach and reflecting a collaborative effort with deep meaning.

'This initiative has been specifically designed to empower the active participation of the community in activities which promote cleanliness and environmental sustainability. Therefore, we hope that all parties will commit and cooperate to collectively realise the aspiration of Bandar Bersih Johor 2030.
Khalid said this at the programme, which was officiated by Datuk Samsolbari Jamali, the Deputy Speaker of the Johor Legislative Assembly, earlier today.
He added that the programme featured a variety of interactive activities across four key locations in the district: Taman Wawasan, Pantai Air Papan, Mersing Harbour Centre and Dewan Jubli Intan Sultan Ibrahim.
