Jessica Jones is back: Krysten Ritter to appear in Daredevil: Born Again season 2
Once Daredevil entered the MCU, it was only a matter of time before another member of the Defenders joined him. First up is Krysten Ritter, who will return to play Jessica Jones in Daredevil: Born Again season 2.
The announcement was made during Disney's upfront presentation in New York on Tuesday afternoon. Ritter joined Daredevil: Born Again star Charlie Cox onstage to speak about season 2.

'It's so great to be back, returning to Jessica after three seasons and The Defenders and now joining the MCU,' Ritter said (via Variety). 'I'm so excited to bring back this iconic character, and without giving too much away, there is much more in store for Jessica Jones. This is going to be an incredible season!'
Jessica Jones is a private investigator with superhuman strength who runs her own detective agency. Ritter played the titular character in Jessica Jones for three seasons and one season of The Defenders. Both shows originated on Netflix. Years after its cancellation, Disney+ regained the licenses to Netflix's Marvel shows in March 2022, opening the door for their inclusion in the MCU.
Charlie Cox, who played Matt Murdock/Daredevil, reprised his role from Netflix's Daredevil for Spider-Man: No Way Home. Vincent D'Onofrio reprised his role of Wilson Fisk/Kingpin in Hawkeye.
Their returns set the stage for their eventual collision course in Daredevil: Born Again. The nine-episode first season wrapped up in April on Disney+. Several characters from the Netflix series appeared in the Disney+ series, including Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page and Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/Punisher.
Filming for season 2 is now underway and will stream on Disney+ in 2026.

Pro wrestling legend Ric Flair is battling skin cancer for the second time in three years, the Hall of Famer revealed this week. "I'll never be able to thank her enough for standing by my side through my terrible health crisis in 2017. She never left my side! And for that I will always be grateful," he said at the time. "We are working on different projects at the current time & it becomes difficult with my schedule & her schedule to make this work. "I wish her the best of luck with her projects, and I know that she supports mine." Flair was admitted to a hospital in Georgia in 2017, and according to Sports Illustrated's reporting at the time, he underwent surgery to remove part of his bowel. PEOPLE reported that doctors also found that he was in the early stages of kidney failure and on the verge of congestive heart failure, which were results of alcohol abuse. NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) — Dubbed 'America's largest cultural celebration' with an estimated one million attendees, the National Puerto Rican Day Parade returns to New York City for its 68th year on Sunday. This year's parade follows the theme of 'Plantando Bandera (Planting Roots),' which focuses on recognizing how Puerto Rican communities have established deep roots and positively contributed to their communities. Things To Do Around NYC Event organizers also partnered with New York-native Lin-Manuel Miranda and his company TeeRico, to create merchandise featuring this year's theme. The design combines the Puerto Rican flag with a ceiba tree whose roots stretch around the image a global, symbolizing the deep roots and worldwide influence of Puerto Rican identity. The artwork was created by Puerto Rican artist Jorge Rafael Calderón. The National Puerto Rican Day Parade is preceded by the 40th-annual 116th Street Festival in East Harlem on Saturday. More than 500,000 people will celebrate Puerto Rican culture, music, food and more during the 20-block festival.
