Youth, student leaders from city join Telangana Jagruthi
Several youth and student leaders from Kukatpally, Serilingampally, Jubilee Hills and Patancheru constituencies joined Telangana Jagruthi in the presence of its president and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC K. Kavitha here on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Kavitha said the Telangana society has given two visionaries, one of them was former Prime Minister P.V. Narasimha Rao, and the other being BRS founder-president K. Chandrasekhar Rao.
She stated that it was from the thought process of late Prof. K. Jayashankar and Mr. Rao that Telangana Jagruthi took shape in 2006 with the agenda of protecting the cultural identity of Telangana, which was facing threat of existence due to the cultural onslaught of Seemandhra leaders high-handedness in the politics of combined Andhra Pradesh.
Turning to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, she said that it is unfortunate that a person who had never uttered the Jai Telangana slogan is at the helm of State's affairs today, and except use of filthy language against his political opponents, he had learnt nothing.

Hyderabad: The BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Sunday alleged that the Congress leaders were threatening the Kitex company which has come forward to set up Textile Park in Warangal to provide 25,000 jobs and expressed concerns that there was a danger of industries fleeing due to hooliganism by the Congress leaders. The BRS leader made these comments while participating in the distribution of sewing machines and KCR kits to women in Parakala constituency as part of the Gift A Smile program on Sunday. Rama Rao alleged that Congress leaders were threatening Kitex, which has announced that it will provide 25,000 jobs in the country's largest Kakatiya Textile Park. 'The Congress' hooliganism to provide jobs to only those they recommend has led to a situation where industries are fleeing,' said Rama Rao, criticising that while BRS wanted to bring industries to the Kakatiya Mega Textile Park and provide jobs to the youth of Telangana, Congress leaders were conspiring to loot it vertically. The BRS leader further said that the estimates of Rs 137 crore prepared in January for the construction of a canal in the Kakatiya Textile Park have increased to Rs 297 crore due to the greed of Congress ministers and MLAs. The Congress leaders of Warangal district wanted to loot Rs 167 crore in the name of canal construction. He said that the looting being done by Congress leaders will not stop if they are not questioned and said that they will protest against these irregularities in the upcoming assembly sessions. KTR further said that KCR has done justice to BCs in the past, and he was the only one who would give due priority to the common people tomorrow too. He said that Congress MLAs and ministers would fall in line only if BRS candidates win with impressive majorities in the local body elections. KTR said that the state government owes Rs 50,000 to every girl child in Telangana. The Revanth government, which should have given Rs 3,000 crore to self-help groups was celebrating by giving only Rs 300 crore. He said that the Congress government gave Rythu Bandhu during Lok Sabha elections and now as there are Panchayat elections.

BRS urges Telangana HC to step in over recurring food poisoning incidents in residential schools
HYDERABAD The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has urged the Chief Justice of Telangana High Court to take suo motu cognisance of the recurring incidents of food poisoning in residential schools across Telangana. The appeal comes in the wake of 111 students from the Jyotiba Phule Backward Classes Welfare Residential School for Girls in Uyyalawada, Nagarkurnool district, being hospitalised on Sunday. BRS leader T. Harish Rao, who visited the school along with party leaders Marri Janardhan Reddy, C. Laxma Reddy, Guvvala Balaraju and others, interacted with students and parents at the hospital. He expressed concern that such a serious incident had occurred in Chief Minister Reddy's home district, despite the CM also holding the Education portfolio. 'When the government can spend ₹1 lakh for a meal during the Miss World beauty pageant, why can't it provide safe food to students in residential schools,' Rao questioned. He further criticised the government for what he termed as a political vendetta, asking if erasing the legacy of former CM K. Chandrasekhar Rao meant neglecting students to the extent of illness and even death. Not a day goes by without distressing news about residential school students, he said, adding that while the government has been talking about integrated schools for the past 20 months, not a single one has yet been established. Rao said that repeated incidents of food poisoning in government residential schools were eroding public trust, leading to a drop in admissions as parents were increasingly reluctant to send their children to such institutions. He urged the Chief Minister to introspect and take immediate steps to improve conditions, at the very least, by ensuring hygienic living environments and safe, nutritious food for students. He also interacted with students at the school and blamed the ongoing issues on the government's negligence and administrative failure, pointing out that such incidents have been frequently reported across the State over the past 20 months. He alleged that authorities rushed students to the hospital only after learning about the BRS team's visit, and in some cases, children were treated under trees on the school campus itself, making them hold IV fluid bottles in their hands. He further claimed that over 100 students have died in residential schools during this period, even as he underscored the urgent need for intervention.

BRS urges HC to take suo motu action on food poisoning cases in Gurukuls
Hyderabad: Senior BRS leader T Harish Rao on Sunday urged the Telangana high court and the state human rights commission to take suo motu cognisance of the food poisoning incidents and student deaths in Gurukul institutions. He made the appeal after interacting with students of the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Girls' BC Gurukul school in Nagarkurnool district, where 111 students reportedly fell ill after consuming contaminated food. He highlighted similar incidents in Jagtial, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Peddakothpalli, and Husnabad, claiming that over 100 gurukul students died under the 20 months of Congress rule. He pointed out that under the BRS regime, the number of gurukul schools increased from 284 to 1,023, serving over 6 lakh students. However, he alleged that the Congress govt is not adhering to the mandated menu, instead serving worm-infested rice and poor-quality sambar in place of puri or chapati, as promised. Accusing the govt of endangering the future of children, he warned of statewide protests if the negligence continues.
