Heads up, Swifties! 'Taylor Watch' podcast returns after hiatus
On July 15, hosts Kelly Keegs and Gia Mariano returned to the airwaves following a month hiatus.
"Oh, you thought you could kill us! Nice try, haters," Keegs boomed at the top of the two-hour YouTube video titled "Episode 152."
"We have risen from the dead, we do it all the time," Mariano jumped in, quoting Swift's "Look What You Made Me Do" lyric. The two hosts debuted a new logo in a "Folklore"-esque font surrounded by stars, a microphone and a clapboard.
Whether a rebirth or a resurrection, Season 2 started with an explanation of what happened since the show was canceled on June 4. Last month, Keegs told USA TODAY that copyright issues ultimately prompted Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy to pull the plug.
"If you have a business account, which 'Taylor Watch' does count as a business account, and we are using Taylor's music − technically, it could be said that we are using her music to promote our brand, which is not allowed." Keegs told podcast listeners.
Portnoy texted Keegs and Mariano on July 7 renewing their contracts and saying they could bring back the podcast.
"It was so out of the blue," Mariano said. "He made things right."
"The past is the past and all we're thinking about is the future," Keegs said.
Mariano explained the solution will be for "Taylor Watch" to stay away from copyrighted music and videos and steer toward posting reaction videos. The show will return to a twice-a-week format with new episodes on Tuesdays and Thursdays to dish on Swift news, commentary and Easter egg theories.
"It just feels like a clean slate, a fresh start all around," Keegs said.

Patrick Schwarzenegger Reacts To White Lotus Emmy Nominations After Snub
A total of eight actors received Emmy nominations for their performances in Season 3 of The White Lotus — and, somehow, Patrick Schwarzenegger was not one of them. I'm not sure what the Television Academy members were watching, but, IMO, Patrick's performance as Saxon Ratliff was one of the obvious standouts of the series — particularly that heartbreaking moment in the last episode with Aimee Lou Wood's character…IYKYK. And, for what it's worth, it seems I'm definitely not the only person who feels that way, with Patrick being widely identified, by both fans and critics, as one of the biggest snubs of the 2025 nominations. 'Nominating The White Lotus for a bazillion awards but leaving out Patrick Schwarzenegger is... a choice,' one X user wrote. 'Big thumbs down!!''Patrick Schwarzenegger was left out of the Emmys and he gave the best male performance in the third season of THE WHITE LOTUS,' agreed another. 'I will not forgive them.''i'm not an awards person but i just wanna say patrick schwarzenegger was robbed,' added someone else. Fortunately, however, it appears Patrick is taking any disappointment in his stride. After the nominations were announced yesterday, the 31-year-old took to his Instagram story to celebrate the show's 24 nominations, which, along with all the other acting nods for his costars, included Outstanding Drama Series, and both Outstanding Directing and Writing for a Drama Series. 'So awesome,' he wrote, alongside two lotus emojis. On top of that, Jason Isaacs, who played his father on the show and beat him out for a nomination in the Supporting Actor in a Drama Series category, revealed that Patrick was the very first person to congratulate him. 'I thought, 'I guess I didn't get nominated,' because someone would have called me,' Jason told Variety while reacting to his nom. 'At which point the phone, the computer, and the iPad started melting with well wishes. Patrick was the first person to text me, God bless him.' If one thing's for sure, Patrick certainly earned himself a legion of new supporters off the back of The White Lotus — and hopefully that means he's caught the eye of a few casting directors, too. We'll get you that nom, Patrick!

Joaquin Phoenix addresses ‘horrible' 2009 David Letterman interview: ‘One of the worst nights of my life'
Joaquin Phoenix deeply regrets his infamous David Letterman interview. The 'Joker' actor, 50, appeared on 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert' Tuesday and looked back on the infamous exchange he had with Letterman, 78, in the same NYC studio over 15 years ago. At the time, Phoenix was promoting his 2010 mockumentary 'I'm Still Here,' which followed him retiring from acting and becoming a hip hop artist. When he went on Letterman's show, Phoenix transformed into his spoof character and acted bizarrely. Advertisement 5 Joaquin Phoenix on 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.' Letterman/Youtube 'When I came on this show with Dave, I originally did the pre-interview in character and I realized that it was just a little silly,' Phoenix recalled to Colbert, 61. I just want it to be really dangerous,'' the actor stated. 'So that was the kind of intention,' Phoenix added. 'I just always wanted to get this reaction and see how I would respond to that. So it was beneficial for no one to know, except when needed.' The Oscar winner went on to call the interview 'horrible' and 'uncomfortable.' 'I don't know if he's watching,' Colbert joked to Phoenix about Letterman, as Phoenix offered a direct apology to the former 'Late Show' host. Barack, Michelle Obama address divorce rumors in 1st joint comments
Former President Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama are laughing off the divorce rumors that have plagued them for much of the past year. Barack Obama joined his wife and his brother-in-law Craig Robinson on Wednesday for an episode of the siblings' podcast, "IMO." While the episode topic focused on raising young men, the Obamas and Robinson kicked off their conversation with some laughs about the rumors that the Obamas' decadeslong marriage is in trouble. "Wait, you guys like each other?" Robinson joked when Barack Obama entered the conversation, prompting Michelle Obama to reply, "Oh yeah, the rumor mill." Barack Obama quickly continued the joke, replying to Robinson, "She took me back. It was touch and go for a while." "It's so nice to have you both in the same room together," Robinson continued, to which his sister responded, "I know, 'cause when we aren't, folks think we're divorced." The rumors about the former first couple's marital status started earlier this year when Barack Obama attended several high-profile events solo, including the funeral of former President Jimmy Carter, as well as President Donald Trump's second inauguration. Michelle Obama has since spoken publicly about her decision to not attend certain events she may be expected at as a former first lady, explaining that for the first time in her life, with her two daughters grown and her husband out of public office, she feels free to make decisions for herself. "This stage in life for me is the first time that I have been completely free," she said in a previous "IMO" episode that aired July 9. On Wednesday's episode of "IMO," the former first lady further confirmed that her marriage is not in trouble. "There hasn't been one moment in our marriage where I thought about quittin' my man. And we've had some really hard times," Michelle Obama said. "We have had a lot of fun times, a lot of adventures, and I have become a better person because of the man I'm married to." Barack and Michelle Obama wed in Chicago in 1992. On Valentine's Day this year, Barack Obama shared a photo with his wife on Instagram, captioning the post, "Thirty-two years together and you still take my breath away." Michelle Obama shared the same photo in her own post, writing, "If there's one person I can always count on, it's you, @BarackObama. You're my rock. Always have been. Always will be."
