BTS Slate Spring 2026 Return With New Music and World Tour

BTS Slate Spring 2026 Return With New Music and World Tour

Yahoo6 days ago
BTS — the record-breaking, chart-topping K-pop group — has announced plans for their long awaited return.
The seven-member group, in their first group broadcast in nearly three years, took to the Hybe-owned Weverse fan platform for a livestream Tuesday, where they laid out the plan for their post-military enlistment future. BTS told fans that they're all heading to the U.S. this month to begin working on new music that is currently slated for a spring 2026 release.

'We'll be releasing a new BTS album in the spring of next year. Starting in July, all seven of us will begin working closely together on new music. Since it will be a group album, it will reflect each member's thoughts and ideas,' the group said in a statement. 'We're approaching the album with the same mindset we had when we first started.'
The supergroup also announced plans for a world tour next year, their first since their wildly successful post-pandemic string of shows, BTS: Permission to Dance on Stage, which drew 4 million attendees and viewers across in-person concerts, online livestreaming, live viewing and live play, according to a release.
'We'll be visiting fans all around the world, so we hope you're as excited as we are,' the group said.
Until 2026, BTS members are seemingly continuing previously planned solo work, including eldest member Jin's solo tour, which was just held in Goyang, South Korea, on June 28 and June 29. J-Hope, who recently wrapped his own solo tour, is slated to headline Lollapalooza Berlin later this month.
All members of BTS reunited for the first time since 2022 last month at J-Hope's solo concert finale in Goyang, South Korea. The reunion marked the end of a busy week for the group as members RM, V, Jimin and Jung Kook were discharged from their mandatory military service earlier that week, joining already released J-Hope and Jin. Suga completed his mandatory military service as social work personnel that following week, signaling the official return-to-active status for the group.
BTS fans have long awaited their return, although each member of the group found success with their solo work released throughout the two-year enlistment period. In October 2022, BTS performed a massive free concert, titled Yet to Come, in Busan, South Korea. The concert, which was in support of the Korean city's bid for the 2030 World Expo, brought legions of ARMY from around the world. Days after the performance, BigHit Music announced that all seven members would be moving forward with plans to fulfill their military service, saying it was 'the perfect time' and that the group's members were honored to serve.
BTS' Tuesday livestream, their first since September 2022, bagged over 7.3 million real-time total views, according to a release. Exact release or tour dates have yet to be announced.

Netflix Announces Major Wednesday Update – And 1 Exciting Hint About It's Future

If you were one of the millions of fans who helped make Wednesday the most-watched English-language Netflix show of all time, there's some very good news about the future of the series. With season two of the award-winning reimagining of The Addams Family starring Jenna Ortega coming this August, there's now even more cause for celebration as Netflix has renewed for a third season. The streamer confirmed the news on its social media this week, sharing a post of Wednesday holding a spooky crystal ball with the number three on it, along with the tagline 'bad things come in threes'. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Wednesday Netflix (@wednesdaynetflix) The caption added: 'Season 2 awakens in two weeks. Season 3 is the next omen, already in motion, already inevitable.' And not only has Wednesday been confirmed for season three, but it looks like a spinoff series is in the early stages of discussions. As revealed in a new joint interview with star Jenna and director and executive producer Tim Burton in The Hollywood Reporter, showrunner Alfred Gough said a secretive spinoff is 'something we're definitely noodling; there are other characters we can look at'. She would never leave you hanging. Wednesday has been officially renewed for Season 3. Season 2 awakens in two weeks. — Netflix (@netflix) July 23, 2025 Netflix chief content officer Bela Bajaria also hinted that 'there's a lot to explore in the Addams Family'. While further details about the future of Wednesday remain under wraps for now, showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar added in a statement (via Deadline): 'It's been a dark delight to watch Wednesday cast her spell over audiences across the globe – one deadpan quip at a time. We're beyond thrilled she'll be returning to stalk the halls of Nevermore in Season 3. 'This time, she'll unearth more of the school's sinister secrets – and descend even deeper into the Addams family crypt. Or, as Wednesday would say: 'Nothing brings a family together like a good exhumation'.' In a statement to Netflix's Tudum, Alfred did give one hint that we will be 'seeing more Addams Family members and learning more family secrets in Season 3'. The news comes after fans learned last year that Lady Gaga was reported to be in a guest role for season two. Other new additions to the season two cast include Billie Piper, Thandiwe Newton, Joanna Lumley and Steve Buscemi. Part one of season two is set to drop on 6 August, with part two arriving on 3 September. Related... Will There Be An Untamed Season 2? We're Going Bananas for These Discounts on Donkey Kong and Other Games at Woot

According to CNET gaming expert Scott Stein, Donkey Kong Banaza is the best Switch game we've seen in years. However, you can expect it to be quite a while before we see any discounts on this brand-new Switch 2 exclusive considering it hit shelves just last week. But if you're looking to explore some other titles in this iconic franchise, Woot's massive video game sale is a great chance to add them to your library for less. The online retailer is offering some serious savings for Nintendo, Xbox, PlayStation and PC gamers, with both new and refurbished games, controllers, headsets, keyboards and more available for up to 83% off. The sale officially runs through August 1, but Woot typically has a limited selection, and items may sell out well before then. We wouldn't wait too long if you're hoping to take advantage of these savings. If you're hoping to round out your Donkey Kong collection, you can grab three different games for up to 33% off at this sale. Donkey Kong Country Returns HD is a 2D platformer inspired by the original NES games, and features more than 80 different levels across nine different worlds. It lists for $60, but you can save $17 and pick it up for just $43 right now. Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze is also on sale for $43, plus you can pick up Mario vs. Donkey Kong for $20 off, dropping the price down to $40. Donkey Kong games aren't the only thing on sale, either. There are also some exceptional savings available on games and accessories for PC, PlayStation and Xbox, like this wired Razer Wolverine V3 Xbox controller that's now $30 off, dropping it down to just $70. Or level up your online gaming performance with this $90 HyperX CloudX wireless headset, which saves you $60 compared to the usual price. You've also got a rare chance to grab The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom on sale, with Woot currently offering a $13 discount on this top-rated Switch title. Why these deals matter Even older Nintendo games can be tough to find on sale, so a chance to multiple tons of titles from the iconic Donkey Kong franchise for less is an opportunity you won't want to miss. Plus, there are some massive discounts on a huge selection of other games and accessories, which makes this a great chance to update your Nintendo, PlayStation, Xbox or PC gaming setup without breaking the bank.
