Princess Andre's 'dark' world as Katie Price's ex Kieran Hayler issues grovelling statement
Princess Andre has a new reality show and The Princess Diaries is already giving us plenty of insight into her relationship with mum Katie Price.
One of the big takeaways from the the ITV show is that the 18-year-old influencer's admission that Katie's troubled past had led her to experience things 'kids shouldn't see'. "I wish I could have had a happier childhood," she said. "I had so much on my plate at such a young age and had things at the back of my mind."
Princess, who is the daughter of Katie's first husband Peter Andre, was 10 when her mum split from third husband Kieran Hayler after five years together. "Mum was heartbroken and she went through a dark time and it was things kids shouldn't see and when we needed our mum there, she wasn't there because she had her own problems," the teenager said on the show.
"I'm not healed or fully recovered from it but mum has fixed herself compared to how she was back then."
Katie, 47, and Kieran married in Weston-Super-Mare in 2013 and went onto have two children together, Jett and Bunny. They renewed their vows in Barbados in 2016 on what was said to be a make or break holiday, with Kieran cheating on Katie multiple times throughout the course of their relationship.
One of Kieran's mistresses was Jane Pountney, Katie's friend of 20 years and he cheated on her with a second pal, Chrissy Thomas. The vow renewal didn't work - in 2017 the former glamour model found out Kieran had been unfaithful once more with their children's nanny, Nikki Brown and the following year they went their separate ways.
"He did a lot of stuff and when they split up everything kind of went downhill," said Princess. "My mum, obviously being heartbroken, didn't deal with that the best way. She went through a very, very like dark time, which is understandable."
Katie later opened up about her 'toxic' marriage to Kieran, blaming him for the 'disgusting' state of her home and her depression, which saw her want to stay sleep all day.
The 38-year-old reality star told the Daily Mail this week he would love to apologise in person to Princess for the impact his troubled relationship with Katie had on her. "I am as sorry as I can be to Princess witnessing us go through such a horrible separation," he said. "Leaving them was one of the hardest things I ever had to do."
But Kieran, who revealed he longer has a relationship with his former step-children, also told the publication he had been the best step dad he could be. "I regret the way things happened but at the same time those are issues I never put around the children, they were put around the children by everything becoming so public," he said.
Kieran moved on with Michelle Penticost and they had son Apollo before they split earlier this year. In 2019, Michelle secured a restraining order against Katie for harassing her.

ITV Lorraine star says 'I'm to blame' as they make parenting confession
Lorraine presenter Ranvir Singh was left feeling 'guilty' as she shared an insight into her personal life during the latest episode of the ITV show. During the latest episode of ITV's Lorraine, presenter Ranvir Singh revealed feeling 'guilty' as she offered a glimpse into her personal life. The stand-in host, who recently aimed a dig at Brooklyn Beckham, was discussing the thousands of students receiving their A-Level results to secure university places. Yet, with education costs soaring and AI potentially endangering employment prospects, the ITV personality was questioning whether university attendance remains worthwhile. Broadcaster Sonali Shah addressed AI and the careers people should now explore, with numerous future roles emerging from advancing technology, reports the Express. She explained: "The key things are jobs requiring kids to be human! Human centric roles, health care professionals, teachers, there are still going to be a need for that. "You can't be taught everything online. Tech and data roles, software engineers and even creative roles like writers and content creators, because we're still not there with AI." Sonali advised Ranvir that parents must concentrate on ensuring their children can engage in conversations with others. She remarked: "I chat to 17 and 18 year olds all the time, not all of them can hold a conversation anymore. "Because their parents are phones and they're on phones. What we need to be teaching our kids is how to be human as that can't be replaced." Nevertheless, Ranvir interrupted as she made an admission about her own technology usage. The star of Lorraine confessed: "Can I just say, I feel terribly guilty because sometimes my son's in his bedroom upstairs and I'm in the kitchen and I text him to say, 'Can you just come down now?' "I don't even shout up the stairs anymore, it's ridiculous, isn't it? I am to blame, I mean, you're so right."

Corrie recasts character for a second time in a year as new star begins filming
A young Coronation Street actor has departed the show, meaning another new face will soon join the cast. Carter-J Murphy joined the ITV soap as Harry Platt towards the end of last year. The character was born in 2016 and is the son of Sarah Platt (Tina O'Brien) and villain Callum Logan. Callum was killed by Kylie Platt before Harry was born, and his body was buried underneath the annex at No.8. After Harry's birth, the body was discovered, and Sarah was hospitalised for postnatal psychosis, having believed that Callum was still alive. Carter-J has only played the role for a handful of episodes, as an amazing opportunity has seen the young star depart the show. It's said the actor has been cast in Matilda the Musical and due to the fact he couldn't juggle the tour and filming for Corrie, he has left. Prior to Carter-J playing Harry, twins Freddie and Isaac Rhodes portrayed the role. Also according to The Sun, an actor called Josh has taken over the role, with his first scenes expected to air within the coming weeks. Carter-J made his screen debut in 2024 in the new Robbie Williams biopic, Better Man, playing a younger version of the singer himself. Another Platt family member was recast earlier this year, with a star called Grace Ashcroft-Gardner taking over the role as Lily Platt. The actress made her debut in a dramatic episode that saw Mick Michaelis (Joe Layton) escape prison and storm Weatherfield High School in search of his daughter Joanie Michaelis (Savannah Pennington). As students realised what was going on, they went in search of safety in locked classrooms. Lily's cousin, Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan), ran through the corridor and arrived at the door Lily was on the other side of. Sam banged the door, desperate for Lily to open it but she was consumed with fear, meaning she completely froze. In the aftermath of this, Sam struggled with anxiety and panic attacks. The ordeal also reminded him of how his mother Natasha died. In 2022, Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor) escaped from prison and went in search of revenge on Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson). He pulled the trigger on a gun, believing he was shooting Leanne, but realised moments later that it wasn't her. Sam's mum Natasha later died in hospital. Newcomer Grace has taken over the role from young actress Brooke Malonie, who had played Lily since 2016. More Trending Taking to Instagram last month, Grace shared her excitement at joining the ITV soap. Alongside several behind-the-scenes pictures, she wrote: 'I am so excited to share my news that I have joined the cast of Coronation Street playing the role of Lily Platt!'
