Kristen Bell, Adam Brody get close in 'Nobody Wants This' S2 photos
Aug. 14 (UPI) -- Netflix is teasing Season 2 of Nobody Wants This, starring Kristen Bell and Adam Brody and arriving on the platform Oct. 23.
The streamer released first-look photos of the unlikely onscreen couple Thursday.
The first shows Noah (Brody), a rabbi, snuggled against Joanne (Bell), an agnostic podcaster, in bed. They appear to be watching a movie on Joanne's laptop.
Another image shows a concerned Noah holding Joanne as they talk to another woman in a parking lot.
Season 1 of the series saw the couple ultimately decide to prioritize their love, despite their big differences.
Creator Erin Foster told Netflix's Tudum that the sophomore season of the show will explore what comes next.
"It's such an interesting part of every relationship when you now have to see if you can make it work with each other's friends, day-to-day routines and how you handle the milestones that come in those first few months together from holidays, birthdays and what you each think the future should look like," she said.
Gossip Girl alum Leighton Meester, who is married to Brody in real life, is among the Season 2 cast members.
Miles Fower, Alex Karpovsky, Arian Moayed, Justin Lupe, Timothy Simons, Jackie Tohn, Michael Hitchcock, Stephanie Faracy, Paul Ben-Victor, Tovah Feldshuh, Sherry Cola and D'Arcy Carden also star.

Premiere date and cast released for 'Nobody Wants This' Season 2
Netflix knows everybody wants the next season of its hit romantic comedy starring Kristen Bell and Adam Brody. Season 2 of "Nobody Wants This" is just two months away as fans are eager to follow the "will they or won't they" romance after last season's heartfelt cliffhanger. The first season debuted last September and followed the love story between Bell's agnostic sex podcaster, Joanne, and Brody's Los Angeles rabbi, Noah, who must grapple with cultural differences to be together. The finale concluded with Noah making the drastic decision to continue their relationship despite his promotion to head rabbi and Joanne's decision not to convert to Judaism. The upcoming season is expected to explore the aftermath and possible repercussions of their decisions. "What should he do? What should she do? What version of sacrifice is worth it? What constitutes growth, or what constitutes dimming yourself to be with someone else," Brody told Netflix when discussing the second season. "It's a sacrifice, but ideally, you grow together and you're better for it − you don't have to [lop] off a limb." Swifties speculate Taylor Swift's new album drags Blake Lively
NEW YORK — Swifties are speculating that one particular song off Taylor Swift's upcoming album nods to the rumored demise of her friendship with Blake Lively, amid the latter's legal battle with Justin Baldoni. The chatter comes on the heels of Swift on Wednesday revealing that the tracklist from 'The Life of a Showgirl,' dropping Oct. 3, will feature a song titled 'Ruin the Friendship.' Lively, 37, is currently locked in a litigious and publicity saga with 41-year-old Baldoni, her director and co-star in 'It Ends With Us,' whom she claims sexually harassed her during filming. The 'Gossip Girl' alum also alleges Baldoni waged a smear campaign to undermine her accusations. Baldoni has denied all of Lively's claims, though he did include some reported texts in his since-dismissed $400 million defamation suit. In one such correspondence, Lively allegedly referred to Swift as one of her 'dragons,' with Baldoni accusing her of leveraging the popstar's celebrity status in attempt to take over creative control of the film. Ever since Swift was named in the suit, she's reportedly kept her distance from her longtime friend. In June, a source told People that Swift was'working to trust Blake again.' While making her podcast debut during boyfriend Travis Kelce's hit 'New Heights' show, Swift revealed she recorded the entirety of her new album in between shows on the European leg of her Eras Tour last summer. If true, that throws a bit of a wrench into the theory that 'Ruin the Friendship' is about Lively, as she and Swift were last spotted together last October — on a double date, no less. Moreover, Lively didn't accuse Baldoni of any misdeeds until right before Christmas, and Baldoni didn't drag Swift into the mess until early this year. Still, that hasn't stopped fans from spreading the theory online, particularly in the wake of Swift being momentarily subpoenaed by Baldoni's legal team. Neither Swift nor Lively has publicly remarked on their friendship since 'It Ends With Us' hit theaters in August. ------------
