Nick Carter sparks concern with alarming slimmed-down photo: ‘Hope he's doing fine'
Nick Carter's slimmed-down appearance has sparked concern among fans who are worried about his wellbeing.
On Wednesday, the singer shared a relaxing selfie via Instagram ahead of practice for the Backstreet Boys' Las Vegas residency at the Sphere.
'Soaking up some Vegas heat before today's rehearsals,' Carter, 45, captioned the photo.
Carter appeared in good spirits, wearing a grey hat and a dark red Ford T-shirt.
Fans couldn't help but voice their concerns about his thin frame in the comments section, however, with one writing, 'Sorry to say, but you look a bit too thin to me! … I hope you're okay, @nickcarter! Love you so much!'
'He looks very unhealthy, hope he is okay!' another added, as a third chimed in, 'I'm a [bit] nervous.'
'Maybe he took some Ozempic,' a fourth wrote, to which another snapped back, 'Maybe you should mind your business.'
Meanwhile, others rushed to Carter's defence, urging critics not to 'comment on other people's bodies.'
'Hey ladies … just like we don't want men commenting on our weight … men don't need to hear your opinions either,' one supporter wrote.
'[I] think it's more out of concern … hope he's doing fine mentally and physically,' a second added.
A source, meanwhile, told Page Six that Carter is 'not on Ozempic.'
According to the insider, the pop icon and his bandmates have been rehearsing for their Vegas residency 'for the past two months now' and 'working out non-stop.'
'It's not going to be an easy show,' the source continued, adding that Carter's social media proves that he has slowly slimmed down over the past few months.
'It didn't happen overnight,' they said.
Reps for Carter did not immediately respond to Page Six's request for comment.
The Backstreet Boys — which also consists of Brian Littrell, AJ McLean, Kevin Richardson and Howie Dorough — will begin their Into The Millennium residency at the Sphere starting July 11.
They are set to perform 21 concerts before wrapping their final show in late August.
Nick's return to the stage comes after the tragic deaths of three of his siblings, Leslie Carter, Aaron Carter and Bobbie Jean Carter, who passed away in 2012, 2022 and 2023, respectively.
In November 2023, the I Want It That Way singer admitted he was still grieving his late brother, telling E! News that it 'hurts' not to have made amends before he passed.
He also addressed Bobbie Jean's death in January 2024, writing via Instagram that 'it may take a lifetime to fully process the loss [his] family has endured over the years.'
Nick was one of five siblings. The family is also survived by Aaron's twin sister, Angel.

Charlie Sheen's daughter Sami accuses ‘disgusting' sister Lola of being ‘homophobic and transphobic'
Sami Sheen accused her sister Lola Sheen of being 'homophobic and transphobic' after the OnlyFans star was blocked on social media by her sibling. The eldest daughter of Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen ranted about Lola's alleged bigotry in a video posted to her TikTok on Thursday. 'My mum did an amazing job raising me and my sister to be very accepting of everyone's sexuality and gender identity and everything else under the sun,' Sami began in her rant. 'That's why it is so sad for me to see that my own sister is homophobic and transphobic now,' she continued. Sami admitted that she wasn't going to 'take to the internet' but addressed that Lola's re-posts are 'public for everyone to see.' The model was referring to Lola re-posting a video of Christian podcaster Bryce Crawford claiming that being transgender is a sin. 'She has been re-posting this man's stuff,' Sami said. 'It disgusts me because it's so sad that she's this confirmed to her religion that she thinks like this.' Sami also said that her sister re-shared a video of Crawford mocking people at a Pride parade. 'I asked Lola if she would want to come to a Pride party with me and she laughed in my face,' Sami claimed. Sami, 21, also claimed that Lola, 20, 'got really weird' when she asked her how she would feel if she married a woman. '[She] was like, 'Well, I mean I guess I would come to the wedding but I think every woman needs a man to provide for them,'' Sami alleged. Sami emphasised how 'sad' she was to be related to 'someone like this', despite being raised the same way. 'I am a part of the f***ing LGBTQ+ community and I wish my sister was a f***ing ally,' she said. 'It's just honestly disgusting, close-minded behaviour.' Sami is hoping that Lola will 'snap out of this eventually' and admitted that she was making the video because her sister blocked her on the app. 'She can't even have the decency to respond to me,' Sami said, showing a screenshot of their private messages, in which she asked Lola why she re-posted the video of Crawford. 'Lola, if you're watching this, I urge you, just for five minutes, put the bible down. It's gonna be OK, you can live without it for five minutes and pick up a Pride flag and support the f***ing community,' she said. Sami begged her sister to 'do better' and said that she was 'embarrassed' to have an alleged homophobic sister. The older sibling said she understands people have their own beliefs but they shouldn't force them on other people. 'Someone's sexuality and someone's gender identity should not affect you. Who gives a sh*t what someone identifies as?' Sami said. 'If that makes them happy, let them be. Stop trying to tell people that there's something wrong with them because they identify a certain way.' Lola has been open about her Christian faith and shared earlier this year that she got baptised after hitting 'rock bottom.' Sami and Lola both starred in their family's Bravo reality show, Denise Richards and Her Wild Things, which premiered earlier this year. Page Six reached out to Lola's rep for comment.

Why viewers had to ‘applaud' the fate of Justin Long's character in horror film Barbarian
What do you get when producers from some of the world's best horror films join forces in one movie? According to one critic, you get a 'masterclass in tension and unpredictability'. The producers of It, The Grudge and The Ring all worked together on the horror thriller Barbarian, which is currently one of the top films available for free on streaming platform Tubi right now. Starring Justin Long, Bill Skarsgård and Bird Box actress Georgina Campbell, the premise is very modern-day but the thrills are a throwback to classic horror. Picture this: you arrive at your Airbnb in the suburbs only to find it is double-booked by a mysterious tenant named Keith (Skarsgård). It's a stormy night so he invites you in, arguing that you can just co-habitate for the night as he's harmless. What do you do? For Tess (Campbell), she accepts the invitation, albeit reluctantly. After a surprisingly pleasant night exchanging life stories, the scenario becomes increasingly disturbing when she discovers a secret compartment in the house's basement. Suddenly, suburbia turns sinister. Long plays disgraced Hollywood actor AJ Gilbride who is the owner of the Airbnb. When he finds himself in financial strife after being fired from a movie when accused of raping his co-star, he returns to the home to prep it for sale, only to find that his investment property holds a horrifying secret beneath the house. The film was released in 2022 and became one of the most compelling films that year. So impactful, some fans have already added it to their rewatch list. 'Rewatched Barbarian, still impressed that what begins as a Your Worst Airbnb Fears movie takes a radical turn and delivers. Caught more on a rewatch about the differences between who is a monster, and who is a predator,' one viewer tweeted. 'The movie that made me simultaneously terrified of both airbnb's AND any house with a basement,' added another. 'Full of great surprises, suspense, humour, and probably the craziest tonal heel-turn I've ever seen in a movie.' And yet another commented, 'I wish more horror movies were like this & didn't rely on jump scares!' The aforementioned predator is soon revealed in graphic scenes – a towering, naked and deformed woman that embodies both terror and tragedy. Known as 'The Mother', she appears more mutant than human – the product of decades of abuse, left to lurk in the house's underground tunnels with no light. However, her backstory is heartbreakingly disturbing as Tess and AJ learn after she savagely smashes Keith – who turned out to be a nice guy – in the head, killing him. But, in a shocking plot twist that will leave jaws on the floor, it is Long's character who holds the titular barbarian role thanks to his actions at the end. 'I'm a horror fan. To be in an audience of equally excited and passionate horror fans … and to hear them applaud my death — I know this sounds strange, but it was oddly thrilling for me,' Long told Vulture in a previous interview. 'It meant that they were invested and I did my job. That his character was truly deplorable and deserving of a pretty rough ending.'

Donald Trump's granddaughter Kai 18, works shift at Dunkin' Donuts drive-thru: ‘So humble'
Donald Trump's granddaughter Kai took a hilarious stab at running the Dunkin' Donuts drive-thru in a candid new TikTok video. In the 9-second clip, Kai, 18, rocked the company's colours with a bright pink tank top, orange tennis skirt, and white sneakers while working the window at the iconic donut shop. Kai could be heard repeating that a customer wanted a 'medium iced copy' and saying, 'perfect,' before getting help from a colleague with the register. She then delivered the iced coffee to the customer. 'Working the drive-thru at Dunkin' Donuts,' she wrote atop the clip shared earlier this week. In the caption, she teased another Dunkin' Donuts-themed video. 'If it's on the Dunkin' menu, I tried it,' she wrote, directing social media users to a YouTube link. In the clip posted Thursday, Kai conducted a blind taste test of beverages on the donut-maker's menu. 'I'm gonna try whatever drinks are in front of me!' the social media personality told viewers before a pal wrapped a black blindfold around her eyes. During the minute-long video, Kai accurately identified a mango lemonade, a guava lemonade, and a water with a pump of berry. An attempt to identify a strawberry drink fell flat, with Kai guessing 'some fruit' before admitting, 'yeah I don't know.' She also failed to identify a mystery drink, ending the taste test with a score of three out of five. But fans were particularly amused by Kai's attempt to work the Dunkin' window. 'That's hilarious. You're even matching the logo,' observed a follower of Kai's Dunkin'-themed fashion choice. 'I would actually die if Kai Trump were to give me my Dunkin' order,' confessed another. 'Side hustle,' quipped a third alongside a laughing emoji. Still others weren't fooled by Kai's humble stint at the drive-thru. 'Princess of America,' commented one TikTok user. Kai is the oldest child of Donald Trump's son Donald Trump Jr. and his ex-wife Vanessa, whom he divorced in 2018. The former couple also shares Donald Trump III, 16, Tristan, 13, Spencer, 12, and Chloe, 11. In May, Kai took to TikTok to mark her 'last day being 17' ahead of her 18th birthday. In the video, she danced in a black mini dress to Nelly Furtado's Promiscuous.
